Dua Arafah
سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لَبِسَ الْعِزَّ وَ فَازَ بِهِ سُبْحَانَ مَنْ تَعَطَّفَ بِالْحِلْمِ وَ تَكَرَّمَ بِهِ سُبْحَانَ مَنْ أَحْصى كُلَّ شَيْءٍ وَ عَلِمَ بِهِ سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لَا يَنْبَغِي أَنْ يُسَبَّحَ سِوَاهُ سُبْحَانَ ذِي الْعِزِّ وَ الْقُدْرَةِ سُبْحَانَ الْعَظِيمِ الْأَعْظَمِ أَسْأَلُكَ يَا رَبِّ بِمَعَاقِدِ الْعِزِّ مِنْ عَرْشِكَ وَ بِاسْمِكَ الْعَظِيمِ الْأَعْظَمِ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِالْمُسْتَجَابِ مِنْ دُعَائِكَ وَ بِنُورِ وَجْهِكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ تَدْعُو بِمَا أَحْبَبْتَ.
subhana alladhi fi alssama'i `arshuhu
“Glory be to Him who is adorned with Might and Prosperity! Glory be to Him who is Kind with Forebearnace! Glory be to Him who counts all things and is aware of all of them. Glory be to Him that glorifications belong to none but Him. Glory be to Lord of Honor and Power! Glory be to the Greatest Great! O‟ Lord! I ask You by the juncture of the Might of Your Throne. And I ask You by Your Grand Name and by the prayers that have been fulfilled. By the Light of Your Face to bestow blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny.”
سُبْحَانَ ٱلَّذِي فِي ٱلسَّمَاءِ عَرْشُهُ
subhana alladhi fi al-ardi hukmuhu
Glory be to Him Whose Throne is in the heavens.
سُبْحَانَ ٱلَّذِي فِي ٱلأَرْضِ حُكْمُهُ
subhana alladhi fi alquburi qada'uhu
Glory be to Him Whose dominion is on the earth.
سُبْحَانَ ٱلَّذِي فِي ٱلْقُبوُرِ قَضَاؤُهُ
subhana alladhi fi albahri sabiluhu
Glory be to Him Whose decree is in the graves.
سُبْحَانَ ٱلَّذِي فِي ٱلْبَحْرِ سَبيلُهُ
subhana alladhi fi alnnari sultanuhu
Glory be to Him Whose ways are in oceans.
سُبْحَانَ ٱلَّذِي فِي ٱلنَّارِ سُلْطَانُهُ
subhana alladhi fi aljannati rahmatuhu
Glory be to Him Whose authority is (clearly shown) in Hellfire.
سُبْحَانَ ٱلَّذِي فِي ٱلْجَنَّةِ رَحْمَتُهُ
subhana alladhi fi alqiyamati `adluhu
Glory be to Him Whose mercy is in Paradise.
سُبْحَانَ ٱلَّذِي فِي ٱلْقِيَامَةِ عَدْلُهُ
subhana alladhi rafa`a alssama'a
Glory be to Him Whose justice is on the Resurrection Day.
سُبْحَانَ ٱلَّذِي رَفَعَ ٱلسَّمَاءِ
subhana alladhi basata al-arda
Glory be to Him Who raised the skies.
سُبْحَانَ ٱلَّذِي بَسَطَ ٱلأَرْضَ
subhana alladhi la malja'a wa la manjan minhu illa ilayhi
Glory be to Him Who expanded the earth.
سُبْحَانَ ٱلَّذِي لاَ مَلْجَأَ وَلاَ مَنْجَىً مِنْهُ إِلاَّ إِلَيْهِ
subhana allahi walhamdu lillahi
Glory be to Him save Whom there is no shelter and no salvation.
سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ
wa la ilaha illa allahu wallahu akbaru
All glory be to Allah,all praise be to Allah,
وَلاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ وَٱللَّهُ اَكْبَرُ
la ilaha illa allahu
there is no god save Allah,and Allah is the Greatest.
لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ
wahdahu la sharika lahu
(i) There is no god save Allah,
وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَريكَ لَهُ
lahu almulku wa lahu alhamdu
alone without having any partner.
لَهُ ٱلْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ ٱلْحَمْدُ
yuhyi wa yumitu
His is the kingdom and His is all praise.
يُحْيِي وَيُميتُ
wa yumitu wa yuhyi
He grants life and causes to die
وَيُميتُ وَيُحْيِي
wa huwa hayyun la yamutu
and He causes to die and grants life
وَهُوَ حَيٌّ لاَ يَموُتُ
biyadihi alkhayru
while He is Ever-living and never dies.
بِيَدِهِ ٱلْخَيْرُ
wa huwa `ala kulli shay'in qadirun
In His Hand is all goodness
وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَديرٌ
astaghfiru allaha alladhi la ilaha illa huwa
and He has power over all things.
أَسْتَغْفِرُ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِي لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ
alhayyu alqayyumu wa atubu ilayhi
(ii) I implore Allah for forgiveness. There is no god save He,
ٱلْحَيُّ ٱلْقَيُّومُ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ
ya allahu
the Ever-living, the Self-Subsistent; and to Him I turn repentant.
يَا اللَّهُ
ya rahmanu
(iii) O Allah!
يَا رَحْمٰنُ
ya rahimu
(iv) O All-beneficent!
يَا رَحِيمُ
ya badi`a alssamawati wal-ardi
(v) O All-merciful!
يَا بَدِيعَ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ وَٱلأَرْضِ
ya dha aljalali wal-ikrami
(vi) O Fashioner of the heavens and the earth!
يَا ذَا ٱلْجَلاَلِ وَٱلإِكْرَامِ
ya hayyu ya qayyumu
(vii) O Lord of majesty and honor!
يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ
ya hannanu ya mannanu
(viii) O Ever-living! O Self-Subsistent!
يَا حَنَّانُ يَا مَنَّانُ
ya la ilaha illa anta
(ix) O All-tender! O All-donor!
يَا لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ
amina
(x) O He save Whom there is no god!
آمِينَ
allahumma inni as'aluka
(xi) Respond to us.
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ
ya man huwa aqrabu ilayya min habli alwaridi
O Allah, I beseech You;
يَا مَنْ هُوَ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيَّ مِنْ حَبْلِ ٱلْوَرِيدِ
ya man yahulu bayna almar'i wa qalbihi
O He Who is nearer to me than my life-vein!
يَا مَنْ يَحُولُ بَيْنَ ٱلْمَرْءِ وَقَلْبِهِ
ya man huwa bilmanzari al-a`la wa bil-ufuqi almubini
O He Who intervenes between man and his heart!
يَا مَنْ هُوَ بِٱلْمَنْظَرِ ٱلأَعْلَىٰ وَبِٱلأُفُقِ ٱلْمُبِينِ
ya man huwa alrrahmani `ala al`arshi istawa
O He Who is in the Highest Prospect and in the Evident Horizon!
يَا مَنْ هُوَ ٱلرَّحْمٰنُ عَلَىٰ ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱسْتَوَىٰ
ya man laysa kamithlihi shay'un
O He Who is the All-beneficent; on the Throne He has settled!
يَا مَنْ لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ
wa huwa alssami`u albasiru
O He like Whom there is nothing
وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْبَصِيرُ
as'aluka an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin
and He is the All-hearer, the All-seer!
أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّد
allahumma ya ajwada man a`ta
I beseech You to send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
اَللَّهُمَّ يَا أَجْوَدَ مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ
wa ya khayra man su'ila
O Allah, O He Who is the most magnanimous of all those who may grant!
وَيَا خَيْرَ مَنْ سُئِلَ
wa ya arhama man isturhima
O He Who is the best of all those who are asked!
وَيَا أَرْحَمَ مَنِ ٱسْتُرْحِمَ
allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa alihi fi al-awwalina
O He Who is the most Merciful of all those whose mercy may be sought!
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ فِي ٱلأَوَّلِينَ
wa salli `ala muhammadin wa alihi fi al-akhirina
O Allah, send blessings to Muhammad and his Household among the foremost generations,
وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ فِي ٱلآخِرِينَ
wa salli `ala muhammadin wa alihi fi almala'i al-a`la
send blessings to Muhammad and his Household among the last generations,
وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ فِي ٱلْمَلأِ ٱلأَعْلَىٰ
wa salli `ala muhammadin wa alihi fi almursalina
send blessings to Muhammad and his Household among the Highest Chiefs,
وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ فِي ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
allahumma a`ti muhammadan wa alahu
and send blessings to Muhammad and his Household among the Messengers.
اَللَّهُمَّ أَعْطِ مُحَمَّداً وَآلَهُ
alwasilata walfadilata
O Allah, (please) grant Muhammad and his Household
ٱلْوَسِيلَةَ وَٱلْفَضِيلَةَ
walshsharafa walrrif`ata
the right of mediation, preference,
وَٱلشَّرَفَ وَٱلرِّفْعَةَ
walddarajata alkabirata
honor, loftiness,
وَٱلدَّرَجَةَ ٱلْكَبيرَةَ
allahumma inni amantu bimuhammadin
and the grand rank.
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي آمَنْتُ بِمُحَمَّدٍ
salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi wa lam arahu
O Allah, I believed in Muhammad,
صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَلَمْ أَرَهُ
fala tahrimni fi alqiyamati ru'yatahu
may Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Household, while I have not seen him;
فَلاَ تَحْرِمْنِي فِي ٱلْقِيَامَةِ رُؤْيَتَهُ
warzuqni suhbatahu
so, do not deprive me of seeing him on the Resurrection Day,
وَٱرْزُقْنِي صُحْبَتَهُ
wa tawaffani `ala millatihi
confer upon me with the favor of accompanying him,
وَتَوَفَّنِي عَلَىٰ مِلَّتِهِ
wasqini min hawdihi
cause me to die while I follow his creed,
وَٱسْقِنِي مِنْ حَوْضِهِ
mashraban rawiyyan
and allow me to drink from his Pool
مَشْرَباً رَوِيّاً
sa'ighan hani'an
a drink that is quenching,
سَائِغاً هَنِيئاً
la azma'u ba`dahu abadan
palatable, and pleasant,
لاَ أَظْمَأُ بَعْدَهُ أَبَداً
innaka `ala kulli shay'in qadirun
after which I will never be thirsty.
إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَديرٌ
allahumma inni amantu bimuhammadin
Verily, You have power over all things.
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي آمَنْتُ بِمُحَمَّدٍ
salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi wa lam arahu
O Allah, I believe in Muhammad,
صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَلَمْ أَرَهُ
fa`arrifni fi aljinani wajhahu
may Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Household, while I have not seen him;
فَعَرَِّفْنِي فِي ٱلْجِنَانِ وَجْهَهُ
allahumma balligh muhammadan
so, (please) show me his face in the gardens of Paradise.
اَللَّهُمَّ بَلِّغْ مُحَمَّداً
salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi
O Allah, convey to Muhammad,
صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ
minni tahiyyatan kathiratan wa salaman
may Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Household,
مِنِّي تَحِيَّةً كَثيرَةً وَسَلاَماً
subhana allahi qabla kulli ahadin
many greetings and compliments from me.
سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ قَبْلَ كُلِّ أَحَدٍ
wa subhana allahi ba`da kulli ahadin
All glory be to Allah before one and all!
وَسُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ بَعْدَ كُلِّ أَحَدٍ
wa subhana allahi ma`a kulli ahadin
All glory be to Allah after one and all!
وَسُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ مَعَ كُلِّ أَحَدٍ
wa subhana allahi yabqa rabbuna wa yafna kullu ahadin
All glory be to Allah with one and all!
وَسُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ يَبْقَىٰ رَبُّنَا ويَفْنَىٰ كُلُّ أَحَدٍ
wa subhana allahi tasbihan yafdulu tasbiha almusabbihina
All glory be to Allah; our Lord exists eternally while the all will vanish!
وَسُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ تَسْبِيحاً يَفْضُلُ تَسْبِيحَ ٱلْمُسَبِّحِينَ
fadlan kathiran qabla kulli ahadin
All glory be to Allah with such glorification that exceeds all the glorifications of those who glorify Him;
فَضْلًا كَثِيراً قَبْلَ كُلِّ أَحَدٍ
wa subhana allahi tasbihan yafdulu tasbiha almusabbihina
with much excellence that exceeds all others.
وَسُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ تَسْبِيحاً يَفْضُلُ تَسْبِيحَ ٱلْمُسَبِّحِينَ
fadlan kathiran ba`da kulli ahadin
All glory be to Allah with such glorification that exceeds all the glorifications of those who glorify Him;
فَضْلًا كَثيراً بَعْدَ كُلِّ أَحَدٍ
wa subhana allahi tasbihan yafdulu tasbiha almusabbihina
with much excellence that remains after all others.
وَسُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ تَسْبِيحاً يَفْضُلُ تَسْبِيحَ ٱلْمُسَبِّحِينَ
fadlan kathiran ma`a kulli ahadin
All glory be to Allah with such glorification that exceeds all the glorifications of those who glorify Him;
فَضْلاًَ كَثيراً مَعَ كُلِّ أَحَدٍ
wa subhana allahi tasbihan yafdulu tasbiha almusabbihina
with much excellence that is with all others.
وَسُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ تَسْبِيحاً يَفْضُلُ تَسْبِيحَ ٱلْمُسَبِّحِينَ
fadlan kathiran lirabbana albaqi wa yafna kullu ahadin
All glory be to Allah with such glorification that exceeds all the glorifications of those who glorify Him;
فَضْلاً كَثِيراً لِرَبِّنَا ٱلْبَاقِي وَيَفْنَىٰ كُلُّ أَحَدٍ
wa subhana allahi tasbihan la yuhsa wa la yudra
with much excellence to our Lord Who shall exist eternally while all others will vanish.
وَسُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ تَسْبِيحاً لاَ يُحْصَىٰ وَلاَ يُدْرَىٰ
wa la yunsa wa la yabla
All glory be to Allah with such glorification that is uncounted, unrealized,
وَلاَ يُنْسَىٰ وَلاَ يَبْلَىٰ
wa la yafna wa laysa lahu muntaha
unforgettable, unending,
وَلاَ يَفْنَىٰ وَلَيْسَ لَهُ مُنْتَهَىٰ
wa subhana allahi tasbihan yadumu bidawamihi
unrelenting, and ceaseless.
وَسُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ تَسْبِيحاً يَدُومُ بِدَوَامِهِ
wa yabqa bibaqa'ihi fi siniyyi al`alamina
All glory be to Allah with glorification that is as eternal as He is
وَيَبْقَىٰ بِبَقَائِهِ فِي سِنِيِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ
wa shuhuri aldduhuri wa ayyami alddunya
and as remaining as He is in the years of the worlds,
وَشُهوُرِ ٱلدُّهوُرِ وَأَيَّامِ ٱلدُّنْيَا
wa sa`ati allayli walnnahari
the months of the ages, the days of the world,
وَسَاعَاتِ ٱللَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ
wa subhana allahi abada al-abadi wa ma`a aliabadi
and the hours of night and day.
وَسُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ أَبَدَ ٱلأَبَدِ وَمَعَ ٱلأَبَدِ
mimma la yuhsihi al`adadu
All glory be to Allah incessantly and with eternity
مِمَّا لاَ يُحْصِيهِ ٱلْعَدَدُ
wa la yufnihi al-amadu
that no number can describe it,
وَلاَ يُفْنِيهِ ٱلأَمَدُ
wa la yaqta`uhu al-abadu
no eternity can stop it
وَلاَ يَقْطَعُهُ ٱلأَبَدُ
wa tabaraka allahu ahsanu alkhaliqina
and no eternity can interrupt it.
وَتَبَارَكَ ٱللَّهُ أَحْسَنُ ٱلْخَالِقِينَ
walhamdu lillahi qabla kulli ahadin
Blessed be Allah, the best of creators.
وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ قَبْلَ كُلِّ أَحَدٍ
walhamdu lillahi ba`da kulli ahadin
All praise be to Allah before one and all!
وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ بَعْدَ كُلِّ أَحَدٍ
walhamdu lillahi ma`a kulli ahadin
All praise be to Allah after one and all!
وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ مَعَ كُلِّ أَحَدٍ
walhamdu lillahi yabqa rabbuna wa yafna kullu ahadin
All praise be to Allah with one and all!
وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ يَبْقَىٰ رَبُّنَا ويَفْنَىٰ كُلُّ أَحَدٍ
walhamdu lillahi hamdan yafdulu hamda alhamidina
All praise be to Allah; our Lord exists eternally while the all will vanish!
وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ حَمْداً يَفْضُلُ حَمْدَ ٱلْحَامِدِينَ
fadlan kathiran qabla kulli ahadin
All praise be to Allah with such praise that exceeds all the praise of those who praise Him;
فَضْلاً كَثِيراً قَبْلَ كُلِّ أَحَدٍ
walhamdu lillahi hamdan yafdulu hamda alhamidina
with much excellence that exceeds all others.
وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ حَمْداً يَفْضُلُ حَمْدَ ٱلْحَامِدِينَ
fadlan kathiran ba`da kulli ahadin
All praise be to Allah with such praise that exceeds all the praise of those who praise Him;
فَضْلاً كَثيراً بَعْدَ كُلِّ أَحَدٍ
walhamdu lillahi hamdan yafdulu hamda alhamidina
with much excellence that remains after all others.
وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ حَمْداً يَفْضُلُ حَمْدَ الْحَامِدِينَ
fadlan kathiran ma`a kulli ahadin
All praise be to Allah with such praise that exceeds all the praise of those who praise Him;
فَضْلاً كَثيراً مَعَ كُلِّ أَحَدٍ
walhamdu lillahi hamdan yafdulu hamda alhamidina
with much excellence that is with all others.
وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ حَمْداً يَفْضُلُ حَمْدَ ٱلْحَامِدِينَ
fadlan kathiran lirabbana albaqi wa yafna kullu ahadin
All praise be to Allah with such praise that exceeds all the praise of those who praise Him;
فَضْلاً كَثيراً لِرَبِّنَا ٱلْبَاقِي وَيَفْنَىٰ كُلُّ أَحَدٍ
walhamdu lillahi hamdan la yuhsa wa la yudra
with much excellence to our Lord Who shall exist eternally while all others will vanish.
وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ حَمْداً لاَ يُحْصَىٰ وَلاَ يُدْرَىٰ
wa la yunsa wa la yabla
All praise be to Allah with such praise that is uncounted, unrealized,
وَلاَ يُنْسَىٰ وَلاَ يَبْلَىٰ
wa la yafna wa laysa lahu muntaha
unforgettable, unending,
وَلاَ يَفْنَىٰ وَلَيْسَ لَهُ مُنْتَهَىٰ
walhamdu lillahi hamdan yadumu bidawamihi
unrelenting, and ceaseless.
وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ حَمْداً يَدُومُ بِدَوَامِهِ
wa yabqa bibaqa'ihi fi siniyyi al`alamina
All praise be to Allah with praise that is as eternal as He is
وَيَبْقَىٰ بِبَقَائِهِ فِي سِنِيِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ
wa shuhuri aldduhuri wa ayyami alddunya
and as remaining as He is in the years of the worlds,
وَشُهوُرِ ٱلدُّهوُرِ وَأَيَّامِ ٱلدُّنْيَا
wa sa`ati allayli walnnahari
the months of the ages, the days of the world,
وَسَاعَاتِ ٱللَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ
walhamdu lillahi abada al-abadi wa ma`a aliabadi
and the hours of night and day.
وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ أَبَدَ ٱلأَبَدِ وَمَعَ ٱلأَبَدِ
mimma la yuhsihi al`adadu
All praise be to Allah incessantly and with eternity
مِمَّا لاَ يُحْصِيهِ ٱلْعَدَدُ
wa la yufnihi al-amadu
that no number can describe it,
وَلاَ يُفْنِيهِ ٱلأَمَدُ
wa la yaqta`uhu al-abadu
no eternity can stop it,
وَلاَ يَقْطَعُهُ ٱلأَبَدُ
wa tabaraka allahu ahsanu alkhaliqina
and no eternity can interrupt it.
وَتَبَارَكَ ٱللَّهُ أَحْسَنُ ٱلْخَالِقِينَ
wa la ilaha illa allahu qabla kulli ahadin
Blessed be Allah, the best of creators.
لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ قَبْلَ كُلِّ أَحَدٍ
wa la ilaha illa allahu ba`da kulli ahadin
There is no god save Allah before one and all!
وَلاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ بَعْدَ كُلِّ أَحَدٍ
wa la ilaha illa allahu ma`a kulli ahadin
There is no god save Allah after one and all!
وَلاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ مَعَ كُلِّ أَحَدٍ
wa la ilaha illa allahu yabqa rabbuna wa yafna kullu ahadin
There is no god save Allah with one and all!
وَلاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ يَبْقَىٰ رَبُّنَا ويَفْنَىٰ كُلُّ أَحَدٍ
wa la ilaha illa allahu tahlilan yafdulu tahlila almuhallilina
There is no god save Allah; our Lord exists eternally while the all will vanish!
وَلاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ تَهْلِيلاً يَفْضُلُ تَهْلِيلَ ٱلْمُهَلِّلِينَ
fadlan kathiran qabla kulli ahadin
There is no god save Allah with such confession of godhead that exceeds all the confessions of those who confess His godhead;
فَضْلاً كَثِيراً قَبْلَ كُلِّ أَحَدٍ
wa la ilaha illa allahu tahlilan yafdulu tahlila almuhallilina
with much excellence that exceeds all others.
وَلاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ تَهْلِيلاً يَفْضُلُ تَهْلِيلَ ٱلْمُهَلِّلِينَ
fadlan kathiran ba`da kulli ahadin
There is no god save Allah with such confession of godhead that exceeds all the confessions of those who confess His godhead;
فَضْلاً كَثيراً بَعْدَ كُلِّ أَحَدٍ
wa la ilaha illa allahu tahlilan yafdulu tahlila almuhallilina
with much excellence that remains after all others.
وَلاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ تَهْلِيلاً يَفْضُلُ تَهْلِيلَ ٱلْمُهَلِّلِينَ
fadlan kathiran ma`a kulli ahadin
There is no god save Allah with such confession of godhead that exceeds all the confessions of those who confess His godhead;
فَضْلاً كَثيراً مَعَ كُلِّ أَحَدٍ
wa la ilaha illa allahu tahlilan yafdulu tahlila almuhallilina
with much excellence that is with all others.
وَلاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ تَهْلِيلاً يَفْضُلُ تَهْلِيلَ ٱلْمُهَلِّلِينَ
fadlan kathiran lirabbana albaqi wa yafna kullu ahadin
There is no god save Allah with such confession of godhead that exceeds all the confessions of those who confess His godhead;
فَضْلاًَ كَثيراً لِرَبِّنَا ٱلْبَاقِي وَيَفْنَىٰ كُلُّ أَحَدٍ
wa la ilaha illa allahu tahlilan la yuhsa wa la yudra
with much excellence to our Lord Who shall exist eternally while all others will vanish.
وَلاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ تَهْلِيلاً لاَ يُحْصَىٰ وَلاَ يُدْرَىٰ
wa la yunsa wa la yabla
There is no god save Allah with such confession of His godhead that is uncounted, unrealized,
وَلاَ يُنْسَىٰ وَلاَ يَبْلَىٰ
wa la yafna wa laysa lahu muntaha
unforgettable, unending,
وَلاَ يَفْنَىٰ وَلَيْسَ لَهُ مُنْتَهَىٰ
wa la ilaha illa allahu tahlilan yadumu bidawamihi
unrelenting, and ceaseless.
وَلاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ تَهْلِيلاً يَدُومُ بِدَوَامِهِ
wa yabqa bibaqa'ihi fi siniyyi al`alamina
There is no god save Allah with such confession that is as eternal as He is
وَيَبْقَىٰ بِبَقَائِهِ فِي سِنِيِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ
wa shuhuri aldduhuri wa ayyami alddunya
and as remaining as He is in the years of the worlds,
وَشُهوُرِ ٱلدُّهوُرِ وَأَيَّامِ ٱلدُّنْيَا
wa sa`ati allayli walnnahari
the months of the ages, the days of the world,
وَسَاعَاتِ ٱللَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ
wa la ilaha illa allahu abada al-abadi wa ma`a aliabadi
and the hours of night and day.
وَلاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ أَبَدَ ٱلأَبَدِ وَمَعَ ٱلأَبَدِ
mimma la yuhsihi al`adadu
There is no god save Allah incessantly and with eternity
مِمَّا لاَ يُحْصِيهِ ٱلْعَدَدُ
wa la yufnihi al-amadu
that no number can describe it,
وَلاَ يُفْنِيهِ ٱلأَمَدُ
wa la yaqta`uhu al-abadu
no eternity can stop it,
وَلاَ يَقْطَعُهُ ٱلأَبَدُ
wa tabaraka allahu ahsanu alkhaliqina
and no eternity can interrupt it.
وَتَبَارَكَ ٱللَّهُ أَحْسَنُ ٱلْخَالِقِينَ
wallahu akbaru qabla kulli ahadin
Blessed be Allah, the best of creators.
وَٱللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ قَبْلَ كُلِّ أَحَدٍ
wallahu akbaru ba`da kulli ahadin
Allah is the Greatest before one and all!
وَٱللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ بَعْدَ كُلِّ أَحَدٍ
wallahu akbaru ma`a kulli ahadin
Allah is the Greatest after one and all!
وَٱللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ مَعَ كُلِّ أَحَدٍ
wallahu akbaru yabqa rabbuna wa yafna kullu ahadin
Allah is the Greatest with one and all!
وَٱللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ يَبْقَىٰ رَبُّنَا ويَفْنَىٰ كُلُّ أَحَدٍ
wallahu akbaru takbiran yafdulu takbira almukabbirina
Allah is the Greatest; our Lord exists eternally while the all will vanish!
وَٱللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ تَكْبِيراً يَفْضُلُ تَكْبِيرَ ٱلْمُكَبِّرِينَ
fadlan kathiran qabla kulli ahadin
Allah is the Greatest with such greatness that exceeds all the magnification of those who confess His All-greatness;
فَضْلاً كَثِيراً قَبْلَ كُلِّ أَحَدٍ
wallahu akbaru takbiran yafdulu takbira almukabbirina
with much excellence that exceeds all others.
وَٱللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ تَكْبِيراً يَفْضُلُ تَكْبِيرَ ٱلْمُكَبِّرِينَ
fadlan kathiran ba`da kulli ahadin
Allah is the Greatest with such greatness that exceeds all the magnification of those who confess his All-greatness;
فَضْلاً كَثيراً بَعْدَ كُلِّ أَحَدٍ
wallahu akbaru takbiran yafdulu takbira almukabbirina
with much excellence that remains after all others.
وَٱللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ تَكْبِيراً يَفْضُلُ تَكْبِيرَ ٱلْمُكَبِّرِينَ
fadlan kathiran ma`a kulli ahadin
Allah is the Greatest with such greatness that exceeds all the magnification of those who confess his All-greatness;
فَضْلاً كَثيراً مَعَ كُلِّ أَحَدٍ
wallahu akbaru takbiran yafdulu takbira almukabbirina
with much excellence that is with all others.
وَٱللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ تَكْبِيراً يَفْضُلُ تَكْبِيرَ ٱلْمُكَبِّرِينَ
fadlan kathiran lirabbana albaqi wa yafna kullu ahadin
Allah is the Greatest with such greatness that exceeds all the magnification of those who confess his All-greatness;
فَضْلاً كَثيراً لِرَبِّنَا ٱلْبَاقِي وَيَفْنَىٰ كُلُّ أَحَدٍ
wallahu akbaru takbiran la yuhsa wa la yudra
with much excellence to our Lord Who shall exist eternally while all others will vanish.
وَٱللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ تَكْبِيراً لاَ يُحْصَىٰ وَلاَ يُدْرَىٰ
wa la yunsa wa la yabla
Allah is the Greatest with such greatness that is uncounted, unrealized,
وَلاَ يُنْسَىٰ وَلاَ يَبْلَىٰ
wa la yafna wa laysa lahu muntaha
unforgettable, unending,
وَلاَ يَفْنَىٰ وَلَيْسَ لَهُ مُنْتَهَىٰ
wallahu akbaru takbiran yadumu bidawamihi
unrelenting, and ceaseless.
وَٱللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ تَكْبِيراً يَدُومُ بِدَوَامِهِ
wa yabqa bibaqa'ihi fi siniyyi al`alamina
Allah is the Greatest with such greatness that is as eternal as He is
وَيَبْقَىٰ بِبَقَائِهِ فِي سِنِيِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ
wa shuhuri aldduhuri wa ayyami alddunya
and as remaining as He is in the years of the worlds,
وَشُهوُرِ ٱلدُّهوُرِ وَأَيَّامِ ٱلدُّنْيَا
wa sa`ati allayli walnnahari
the months of the ages, the days of the world,
وَسَاعَاتِ ٱللَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ
wallahu akbaru abada al-abadi wa ma`a aliabadi
and the hours of night and day.
وَٱللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ أَبَدَ ٱلأَبَدِ وَمَعَ ٱلأَبَدِ
mimma la yuhsihi al`adadu
Allah is the Greatest incessantly and with eternity
مِمَّا لاَ يُحْصِيهِ ٱلْعَدَدُ
wa la yufnihi al-amadu
that no number can describe it,
وَلاَ يُفْنِيهِ ٱلأَمَدُ
wa la yaqta`uhu al-abadu
no eternity can stop it,
وَلاَ يَقْطَعُهُ ٱلأَبَدُ
wa tabaraka allahu ahsanu alkhaliqina
and no eternity can interrupt it.
وَتَبَارَكَ ٱللَّهُ أَحْسَنُ ٱلْخَالِقِينَ
ya rabbi inna dhunubi la tadurruka
Blessed be Allah, the best of creators.
wa inna maghfirataka li la tanqusuka
There is no God but God. He is One and there are no partners for Him. Sovereignty belongs to Him and Praise belongs to Him
لا إِلهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَ لَهُ الْحَمْدُ
fa'a`tini ma la yanqusuka
He gives life and causes to die. And He is the Everlasting for Whom there is no death and in His Hands is all goodness and He has power over all things.
يُحْيِي وَ يُمِيتُ وَ هُوَ حَيٌّ لَا يَمُوتُ بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ وَ هُوَ عَلى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
waghfir li ma la yadurruka
my God! All praise belongs to You as we say and better than what we say, and above and beyond what the best orators say
اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ كَالَّذِي تَقُولُ وَ خَيْراً مِمَّا نَقُولُ وَ فَوْقَ مَا يَقُولُ الْقَائِلُونَ
allahumma la tahrimni khayra ma `indaka lisharri ma `indi
my God! Truly, my prayer and my service of sacrifice, my life and my death, are all for You. I abstain by You and I hold myself. I get my strength from You
اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ صَلَاتِي وَ نُسُكِي وَ مَحْيَايَ وَ مَمَاتِي وَ لَكَ بَرَاءَتِي وَ لَكَ [بِكَ] حَوْلِي وَ مِنْكَ قُوَّتِي
fa'in anta lam tarhamni bita`abi wa nasabi
my God! I take refuge in You from poverty and temptations of the heart, dispersion of the affairs, and torture of the grave
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْفَقْرِ وَ مِنْ وَسْوَاسِ الصَّدْرِ وَ مِنْ شَتَاتِ الْأَمْرِ وَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ
fala tahrimni ajra almusabi `ala musibatihi
my God! I ask You for the best wind. And I take refuge in You from the evils of things by which winds flow in the air. And I ask You for the best night and day
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ الرِّيَاحِ وَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا يَجِيءُ بِهِ الرِّيَاحُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ اللَّيْلِ وَ النَّهَارِ
O‟ my God! Please let a light shine upon my heart, light in my hearing and sight, light in my flesh and bones, light in my veins, position, entrance and exit.
اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ فِي قَلْبِي نُوراً وَ فِي سَمْعِي وَ بَصَرِي نُوراً وَ فِي لَحْمِي وَ عِظَامِي نُوراً وَ فِي عُرُوقِي وَ مَقْعَدِي وَ مَقَامِي وَ مَدْخَلِي وَ مَخْرَجِي نُوراً
O my Lord! Please brighten my light on the Day I shall meet You as You have power over all things.
وَ أَعْظِمْ لِي نُوراً يَا رَبِّ يَوْمَ أَلْقَاكَ إِنَّكَ عَلى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ.
"O‟ my God! As You covered from me what I do not know of, please forgive me for which You know of.
اللَّهُمَّ كَمَا سَتَرْتَ عَلَيَّ مَا لَمْ أَعْلَمْ فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَا تَعْلَمُ
As Your Knowledge encompasses me, please let Your Pardon encompass me, too.
وَ كَمَا وَسِعَنِي عِلْمُكَ فَلْيَسَعْنِي عَفْوُكَ وَ كَمَا بَدَأْتَنِي بِالْإِحْسَانِ فَأَتِمَّ نِعْمَتَكَ بِالْغُفْرَانِ
As You initiated Your Kindness for me, please perfect the blessing of Your Bounties by forgiving.
وَ كَمَا أَكْرَمْتَنِي بِمَعْرِفَتِكَ فَاشْفَعْهَا بِمَغْفِرَتِكَ
As You let me know about Your Oneness, please honor me with Your Obedience:
وَ كَمَا عَرَّفْتَنِي وَحْدَانِيَّتَكَ فَأَكْرِمْنِي بِطَاعَتِكَ [لماعيتك]
As You protected me from what I could not protect myself except by Your support. Thus, please forgive me for what You could have protected me against if You wished!
وَ كَمَا عَصَمْتَنِي مَا لَمْ أَكُنْ أَعْتَصِمُ مِنْهُ إِلَّا بِعِصْمَتِكَ فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَا لَوْ شِئْتَ عَصَمْتَنِي مِنْهُ
O‟ Munificent! O‟ the All-Generous! O‟ Lord of Majesty, Bounty and Honor!”
يَا جَوَادُ يَا كَرِيمُ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَ الْإِكْرَامِ.
O my Lord, my sins do not harm You
يَا رَبِّ إِنَّ ذُنُوبِي لاَ تَضُرُّكَ
nor will Your forgiveness to me reduce Your Grandeur.
وَإِنَّ مَغْفِرَتَكَ لِي لاَ تَنْقُصُكَ
So, (please do) grant me that which does not reduce Your Grandeur
فَأَعْطِنِي مَا لاَ يَنْقُصُكَ
and forgive me that which does not harm You.
وَٱغْفِرْ لِي مَا لاَ يَضُرُّكَ
O Allah, (please) do not deprive me of the good that You have because of the evil that I have.
اَللَّهُمَّ لاَ تَحْرِمْنِي خَيْرَ مَا عِنْدَكَ لِشَرِّ مَا عِنْدِي
If You do not have mercy upon me due to my fatigue and tiredness,
فَإِنْ أَنْتَ لَمْ تَرْحَمْنِي بِتَعَبِي وَنَصَبِي
(please) then do not deprive me of the reward of those whom are afflicted with misfortunes.
فَلاَ تَحْرِمْنِي أَجْرَ ٱلْمُصَابِ عَلَىٰ مُصيبَتِهِ
“O‟ my God! I am Your servant! I am the son of Your servant! If You Punish me it is for my past deeds, while I am standing right here in front of You.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي عَبْدُكَ وَ ابْنُ عَبْدِكَ أَنْ تُعَذِّبَنِي فَبِأُمُورٍ قَدْ سَلَفَتْ مِنِّي وَ أَنَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ بِرُمَّتِي
O‟ Pardoner! If You pardon me it is as You deserve since You are Lord of Pardon. O‟ He who is the best to Pardon me! Please forgive me and my companions.”
وَ إِنْ تَعْفُ عَنِّي فَأَهْلُ الْعَفْوِ أَنْتَ يَا أَهْلَ الْعَفْوِ يَا أَحَقَّ مَنْ عَفَى اغْفِرْ لِي وَ لِأَصْحَابِي-
