Dua Yastasheer
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
bismi allahi alrrahmani alrrahimi
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي
alhamdu lillahi alladhi
All praise is due to Allah.
لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ
la ilaha illa huwa
There is no god but He,
ٱلْمَلِكُ ٱلْحَقُّ ٱلْمُبِينُ
almaliku alhaqqu almubinu
the True, Manifest King.
ٱلْمُدَبِّرُ بِلاَ وَزِيرٍ
almudabbiru bila wazirin
He is the Administrator without any minister
وَلاَ خَلْقٍ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ يَسْتَشِيرُ
wa la khalqin min `ibadihi yastashiru
and without consultation with any of his slaves.
ٱلاوَّلُ غَيْرُ مَوْصُوفٍ
al-awwalu ghayru mawsufin
He is the First Who cannot be described.
وَٱلْبَاقِي بَعْدَ فَنَاءِ ٱلْخَلْقِ
walbaqi ba`da fana'i alkhalqi
He is Eternal after the annihilation of all creatures.
ٱلْعَظِيمُ ٱلرُّبُوبِيَّةِ
al`azimu alrrububiyyati
He is the greatest Cherisher,
نُورُ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ وَٱلارَضِينَ
nuru alssamawati wal-aradina
the Light of the heavens and the earth
وَفَاطِرُهُمَا وَمُبْتَدِعُهُمَا
wa fatiruhuma wa mubtadi`uhuma
and their Creator and Maker out of nothing.
بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍ خَلَقَهُمَا وَفَتَقَهُمَا فَتْقاً
bighayri `amadin khalaqahuma wa fataqahuma fatqan
He created both of them and separated them with a proper separation;
فَقَامَتِ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ طَائِعَاتٍ بِامْرِهِ
faqamat alssamawatu ta'i`atin bi-amrihi
the heavens hence became stable in obedience to His command
وَٱسْتَقَرَّتِ ٱلارَضُونَ بِاوْتَادِهَا فَوْقَ ٱلْمَاءِ
wastaqarrat al-araduna bi-awtadiha fawqa alma'i
and the earths became fixed on the surface of the water with their pegs.
ثُمَّ عَلاَ رَبُّنَا فِي ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ ٱلْعُلَىٰ
thumma `ala rabbuna fi alssamawati al`ula
Then, our Lord subdued the high heavens,
ٱلرَحْمٰنُ عَلىٰ ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱسْتَوَىٰ
alrrahmanu `ala al`arshi istawa
the All-beneficent, ruled from the Throne.
لَهُ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ وَٱلارْضِ
lahu ma fi alssamawati wa ma fi al-ardi
Everything that is in the heavens and in the earth,
وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَمَا تَحْتَ ٱلثَّرَىٰ
wa ma baynahuma wa ma tahta alththara
and in between them and what is below the earth belongs to Him.
فَانَاْ اشْهَدُ بِانَّكَ انتَ ٱللَّهُ
fa-ana ash-hadu bi'annaka anta allahu
So, I bear witness that You are verily Allah;
لاَ رَافِعَ لِمَا وَضَعْتَ
la rafi`a lima wada`ta
there is none to elevate what You may lower,
وَلاَ وَاضِعَ لِمَا رَفَعْتَ
wa la wadi`a lima rafa`ta
none to lower what You may elevate,
وَلاَ مُعِزَّ لِمَنْ اذْلَلْتَ
wa la mu`izza liman adhlalta
no one to exalt him whom You leave in disgrace,
وَلاَ مُذِلَّ لِمَنْ اعْزَزْتَ
wa la mudhilla liman a`zazta
no one to bring into disgrace him whom You exalt,
وَلاَ مَانِعَ لِمَا اعْطَيْتَ
wa la mani`a lima a`tayta
no one to prevent him upon whom You bestow Your favor,
وَلاَ مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ
wa la mu`tiya lima mana`ta
and no one to bestow anything which You may withhold.
وَانتَ ٱللَّهُ لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ انتَ
wa anta allahu la ilaha illa anta
You are Allah, there is no god but You;
إِذْ لَمْ تَكُنْ سَمَاءٌ مَبْنِيَّةً
kunta idh lam takun sama'un mabniyyatun
You existed when there was neither stable sky,
وَلاَ ارْضٌ مَدْحِيَّةً
wa la ardun madhiyyatun
nor broad earth,
وَلاَ شَمْسٌ مُضِيئَةً
wa la shamsun mudi'atun
nor brilliant sun,
وَلاَ لَيْلٌ مَظْلِمٌ
wa la laylun muzlimun
nor dark night,
وَلاَ نَهَارٌ مُضِيءٌ
wa la naharun mudi'un
nor bright day
وَلاَ بَحْرٌ لُجِّيٌّ
wa la bahrun lujjiyyun
nor vast ocean,
وَلاَ جَبَلٌ رَاسٍ
wa la jabalun rasin
nor stable mountain,
وَلاَ نَجْمٌ سَارٍ
wa la najmun sarin
nor revolving planet,
وَلاَ قَمَرٌ مُنِيرٌ
wa la qamarun munirun
nor luminous moon,
وَلاَ رِيحٌ تَهُبُّ
wa la rihun tahubbu
nor blowing wind,
وَلاَ سَحَابٌ يَسْكُبُ
wa la sahabun yaskubu
nor raining cloud,
وَلاَ بَرْقٌ يَلْمَعُ
wa la barqun yalma`u
nor flashing lightning,
وَلاَ رَعْدٌ يُسَبِّحُ
wa la ra`dun yusabbihu
nor praising thunder,
وَلاَ رُوحٌ تَنَفَّسُ
wa la ruhun tanaffasu
nor breathing soul,
وَلاَ طَائِرٌ يَطِيرُ
wa la ta'irun yatiru
nor flying bird,
وَلاَ نَارٌ تَتَوَقَّدُ
wa la narun tatawaqqadu
nor blazing fire,
وَلاَ مَاءٌ يَطَّرِدُ
wa la ma'un yattaridu
nor flowing water.
كُنتَ قَبْلَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ
kunta qabla kulli shay'in
You existed before the existence of all things,
وَكَوَّنتَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ
wa kawwanta kulla shay'in
You created everything,
وَقَدَرْتَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ
wa qadarta `ala kulli shay'in
had power over everything,
وَٱبْتَدَعْتَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ
wabtada`ta kulla shay'in
and originated everything.
وَاغْنَيْتَ وَافْقَرْتَ
wa aghnayta wa afqarta
You enriched some and reduced others to poverty,
وَامَتَّ وَاحْيَيْتَ
wa amatta wa ahyayta
caused some to die and brought others to life,
وَاضْحَكْتَ وَابْكَيْتَ
wa adhakta wa abkayta
and made some laugh and others weep.
وَعَلَىٰ ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱستَوَيْتَ
wa `ala al`arshi istawayta
Verily, You rule from the Throne.
فَتَبَارَكْتَ يَا اللَّهُ وَتَعَالَيْتَ
fatabarakta ya allahu wa ta`alayta
Blessed and Exalted be You, O Allah.
انتَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِي لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ انتَ
anta allahu alladhi la ilaha illa anta
You are Allah save Whom there is no god;
ٱلْخَلاَّقُ ٱلْمُعِينُ
alkhallaqu almu`inu
the Creator and Supporter.
امْرُكَ غَاِلبٌ
amruka ghalibun
Your Decree is overpowering,
وَعِلْمُكَ نَافِذً
wa `ilmuka nafidhun
Your Knowledge is operative,
وَكَيْدُكَ غَرِيبٌ
wa kayduka gharibun
Your strategy is wonderful,
وَوَعْدُكَ صَادِقٌ
wa wa`duka sadiqun
Your promise is fulfilled,
وَقَوْلُكَ حَقٌّ
wa qawluka haqqun
Your saying is true,
وَحُكْمُكَ عَدْلٌ
wa hukmuka `adlun
Your judgment is fair,
وَكَلاَمُكَ هُدىٰ
wa kalamuka hudan
Your words are right guidance,
وَوَحْيُكَ نُورٌ
wa wahyuka nurun
Your Revelation is light,
وَرَحْمَتُكَ وَاسِعَةً
wa rahmatuka wasi`atun
Your mercy is all-inclusive,
وَعَفْوُكَ عَظِيمٌ
wa `afwuka `azimun
Your forgiveness is superb,
وَفَضْلُكَ كَثِيرٌ
wa fadluka kathirun
Your grace is excessive,
وَعَطَاؤُكَ جَزِيلٌ
wa `ata'uka jazilun
Your gift is most abundant,
وَحَبْلُكَ مَتِينٌ
wa habluka matinun
Your cord is strong,
وَإِمْكَانُكَ عَتِيدٌ
wa imkanuka `atidun
Your ability is ever ready,
وَجَارُكَ عَزِيزٌ
wa jaruka `azizun
Your protégé is supported,
وَبَاسُكَ شَدِيدٌ
wa ba'suka shadidun
Your prowess is strong,
وَمَكْرُكَ مَكِيدٌ
wa makruka makidun
and Your stratagem is entrapping.
انتَ يَارَبِّ مَوْضِعُ كُلِّ شَكْوَىٰ
anta ya rabbi mawdi`u kulli shakwa
You, O my Lord, are the target of all complaints,
وَحَاضِرُ كُلِّ مَلإٍ
wa hadiru kulli mala'in
the present in all gatherings,
وَشَاهِدُ كُلِّ نَجْوَىٰ
wa shahidu kulli najwa
the witness of all confidential talks,
مُنتَهَىٰ كُلِّ حَاجَةٍ
muntaha kulli hajatin
the ultimate goal of all requests,
مُفَرِّجُ كُلِّ حُزْنٍ
mufarriju kulli huznin
the expeller of all sorrows,
غِنَىٰ كُلِّ مِسْكِينٍ
ghina kulli miskinin
the affluence of every needy,
حِصْنُ كُلِّ هَارِبٍ
hisnu kulli haribin
the stronghold for every refugee,
امَانُ كُلِّ خَائِفٍ
amanu kulli kha'ifin
the security of every fearful,
حِرْزُ ٱلضُّعَفَاءِ
hirzu alddu`afa'i
the shield of the weak,
كَنْزُ ٱلْفُقَرَاءِ
kanzu alfuqara'i
the treasure for the indigent,
مُفَرِّجُ ٱلْغَمَّاءِ
mufarriju alghamma'i
the destroyer of grief,
مُعِينُ ٱلصَّالِحِينَ
mu`inu alssalihina
and the helper of the righteous.
ذٰلِكَ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّنَا لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ
dhalika allahu rabbuna la ilaha illa huwa
Such is Allah, our Lord. There is no god but He.
تَكْفِي مِنْ عِبَادِكَ مَنْ تَوَكَّلَ عَلَيْكَ
takfi min `ibadika man tawakkala `alayka
You satisfy such of Your slaves as trust in You.
وَانتَ جَارُ مَنْ لاَذَ بِكَ وَتَضَرَّعَ إِلَيْكَ
wa anta jaru man ladha bika wa tadarra`a ilayka
You are the protector of him who has recourse to You and implore You,
عِصْمَةُ مَنِ ٱعْتَصَمَ بِكَ
`ismatu man i`tasama bika
the haven of him who seeks Your haven,
نَاصِرُ مَنِ ٱنتَصَرَ بِكَ
nasiru man intasara bika
the supporter of him who looks up to You support,
تَغْفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبُ لِمَنِ ٱسْتَغْفَرَكَ
taghfiru aldhdhunuba liman istaghfaraka
the forgiver of sins of him who begs Your forgiveness,
جَبَّارُ ٱلْجَبَابِرَةِ
jabbaru aljababirati
the Compeller of the tyrants,
عَظِيمُ ٱلْعُظَمَاءِ
`azimu al`uzama'i
the Most Grand of the grand,
كَبِيرُ ٱلْكُبَرَاءِ
kabiru alkubara'i
the Most Great of the great,
سَيِّدُ ٱلسَّادَاتِ
sayyidu alssadati
the Master of masters,
مَوْلَىٰ ٱلْمَوَالِي
mawla almawali
the Lord of lords,
صَرِيخُ ٱلْمُسْتَصْرِخِينَ
sarikhu almustasrikhina
the Succor of the grieved,
مُنَفِّسٌ عَنِ ٱلْمَكْرُوبِينَ
munaffisun `an almakrubina
the Reliever of the aggrieved,
مُجِيبُ دَعْوَةِ ٱلْمُضْطَرِّينَ
mujibu da`wati almudtarrina
the Responder to the calls of the distressed,
اسْمَعُ ٱلسَّامِعِينَ
asma`u alssami`ina
the most hearing of the hearers,
ابْصَرُ ٱلنَّاظِرِينَ
absaru alnnazirina
the most-seeing of all observers,
احْكَمُ ٱلْحَاكِمِينَ
ahkamu alhakimina
the justest of all judges,
اسْرَعُ ٱلَحَاسِبِينَ
asra`u alhasibina
the quickest in reckoning,
ارْحَمُ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ
arhamu alrrahimina
the most merciful of all the merciful,
خَيْرُ ٱلْغَافِرِينَ
khayru alghafirina
the best of all forgivers,
قَاضِي حَوَائِجِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
qadi hawa'iji almu'minina
the satisfier of the needs of the faithful,
مُغِيثُ ٱلصَّالِحِينَ
mughithu alssalihina
and the succorer of the righteous.
انتَ ٱللَّهُ لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ انتَ
anta allahu la ilaha illa anta
You are Allah, there is no god but You,
رَبُّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ
rabbu al`alamina
the Lord of the worlds.
انتَ ٱلْخَاِلقُ وَانَا ٱلْمَخْلُوقُ
anta alkhaliqu wa ana almakhluqu
You are the Creator and I am a creature,
وَانتَ ٱلْمَاِلكُ وَانَا ٱلْمَمْلُوكُ
wa anta almaliku wa ana almamluku
You are the Master and I am a servant,
وَانتَ ٱلرَّبُّ وَانَا ٱلْعَبْدُ
wa anta alrrabbu wa ana al`abdu
You are the Lord and I am a slave,
وَانتَ ٱلرَّازِقُ وَانَا ٱلْمَرْزُوقُ
wa anta alrraziqu wa ana almarzuqu
You are the Provider while I am provided with sustenance,
وَانتَ ٱلْمُعْطِي وَانَا ٱلسَّائِلُ
wa anta almu`ti wa ana alssa'ilu
You are the Giver while I am a beggar,
وَانتَ ٱلْجَوَادُ وَانَا ٱلْبَخِيلُ
wa anta aljawadu wa ana albakhilu
You are the Generous while I am a miser,
وَانتَ ٱلْقَوِيُّ وَانَا ٱلضَّعِيفُ
wa anta alqawiyyu wa ana aldda`ifu
You are the Mighty while I am weak,
وَانتَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ وَانَا ٱلذَّلِيلُ
wa anta al`azizu wa ana aldhdhalilu
You are the Noble while I am humble,
وَانتَ ٱلْغَنِيُّ وَانَا ٱلْفَقِيـرُ
wa anta alghaniyyu wa ana alfaqiru
You are the Independent while I am needy,
وَانتَ ٱلسَّيِّدُ وَانَا ٱلْعَبْدُ
wa anta alssayyidu wa ana al`abdu
You are the Master while I am slave,
وَانتَ ٱلْغَافِرُ وَانَا ٱلْمُسِيْءُ
wa anta alghafiru wa ana almusi'u
You are the Forgiver of sins while I am sinful,
وَانتَ ٱلْعَالِمُ وَانَا ٱلْجَاهِلُ
wa anta al`alimu wa ana aljahilu
You are the Omniscient while I am ignorant,
وَانتَ ٱلْحَلِيمُ وَانَا ٱلْعَجُولُ
wa anta alhalimu wa ana al`ajulu
You are the forbearing while I am hasty,
وَانتَ ٱلرَّحْمٰنُ وَانَا ٱلْمَرْحُومُ
wa anta alrrahmanu wa ana almarhumu
You are the All-Merciful and I lack mercy,
وَانتَ ٱلْمُعَافِي وَانَا ٱلْمُبْتَلَىٰ
wa anta almu`afi wa ana almubtala
You are the Healer but I am involved in suffering,
وَانتَ ٱلْمُجِيبُ وَانَا ٱلْمُضْطَرُّ
wa anta almujibu wa ana almudtarru
and You are the Responder and I am the distressed.
وَانَا اشْهَدُ بِانَّكَ انتَ ٱللَّهُ
wa ana ash-hadu bi'annaka anta allahu
I bear witness that You are verily Allah,
لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ انتَ
la ilaha illa anta
there is no god but You,
ٱلْمُعْطِي عِبَادَكَ بِلاَ سُؤَالٍ
almu`ti `ibadaka bila su'alin
You bestow favors upon Your slaves before they beseech them.
وَاشْهَدُ بِانَّكَ انتَ ٱللَّهُ
wa ash-hadu bi'annaka anta allahu
I bear witness that You are verily Allah,
ٱلْوَاحِدُ ٱلاحَدُ ٱلْمُتَفَرِّدُ ٱلصَّمَدُ ٱلْفَرْدُ
alwahidu al-ahadu almutafarridu alssamadu alfardu
the One, the Peerless, the Unique, the Independent, the Single,
وَإِلَيْكَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ
wa ilayka almasiru
and to You is the return.
وَصَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاهْلِ بَيْتِهِ ٱلطَّيِّبِينَ ٱلطَّاهِرِينَ
wa salla allahu `ala muhammadin wa ahli baytihi alttayyibina alttahirina
May the blessings of Allah be upon Muhammad and his Household, the immaculate and pure.
وَٱغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوبِي
waghfir li dhunubi
Forgive my sins,
وَٱسْتُرْ عَلَيَّ عُيُوبِي
wastur `alayya `uyubi
keep my faults concealed,
وَٱفْتَحْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً وَرِزْقاً وَاسِعاً
waftah li min ladunka rahmatan wa rizqan wasi`an
and extend to me Your special and bounteous sustenance.
يَا ارْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ
ya arhama alrrahimina
O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!
وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ
walhamdu lillahi rabbi al`alamina
All praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
وَحَسْبُنَا ٱللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ ٱلْوَكِيلُ
wa hasbuna allahu wa ni`ma alwakilu
Allah is the Sufficient to us and excellent Protector is He.
وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَلِيِّ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billahi al`aliyyi al`azimi
There is neither might nor power but with Allah, the All-high, the All-great.
