Munajaat 10: Al-Mutawassileen (Seeking Intercession)

Munajat

1. بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

   bismillahi alrrahmani alrrahimi

   In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful

2. إِلٰهِي لَيْسَ لِي وَسِيلَةٌ إِلَيْكَ إِلاَّ عَوَاطِفُ رَأْفَتِكَ

   ilahi laysa li wasilatun ilayka illa `awatifu ra'fatika

   My God, I have no mediation with You but the tender acts of Your clemency,

3. وَلاَ لِي ذَرِيعَةٌ إِلَيْكَ إِلاَّ عَوَارِفُ رَحْمَتِكَ

   wa la li dhari`atun ilayka illa `awarifu rahmatika

   nor any way to come to You but the gentle favors of Your mercy

4. وَشَفَاعَةُ نَبِيِّكَ نَبِيِّ ٱلرَّحْمَةِ

   wa shafa`atu nabiyyika nabiyyi arrahmati

   and the intercession of Your Prophet, the prophet of mercy,

5. وَمُنْقِذِ ٱلأُمَّةِ مِنَ ٱلْغُمَّةِ

   wa munqidhi al-ummati min alghummati

   who rescued the community from confusion.

6. فَٱجْعَلْهُمَا لِي سَبَباً إِلَىٰ نَيْلِ غُفْرَانِكَ

   faj`alhuma li sababan ila nayli ghufranika

   Make these two my tie to attaining Your forgiveness

7. وَصَيِّرْهُمَا لِي وُصْلَةً إِلَىٰ ٱلْفَوْزِ بِرِضْوَانِكَ

   wa sayyirhuma li wuslatan ila alfawzi biridwanika

   and let them take me to triumph through Your good pleasure!

8. وَقَدْ حَلَّ رَجَائِي بِحَرَمِ كَرَمِكَ

   wa qad halla raja'i biharami karamika

   My hope has dismounted in the sacred precinct of Your generosity,

9. وَحَطَّ طَمَعِي بِفِنَاءِ جُودِكَ

   wa hatta tama`i bifina'i judika

   my craving has alighted in the courtyard of Your munificence.

10. فَحَقِّقْ فِيكَ أَمَلِي

    fahaqqiq fika amali

    So, actualize my expectation from You,

11. وَٱخْتِمْ بِٱلْخَيْرِ عَمَلِي

    wakhtim bilkhayri `amali

    seal my works with good,

12. وَٱجْعَلْنِي مِنْ صَفْوَتِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَحْلَلْتَهُمْ بُحْبُوحَةَ جَنَّتِكَ

    waj`alni min safwatika alladhina ahlaltahum buhbuhata jannatika

    and place me among Your selected friends, those whom You have set down in the midst of Your Garden,

13. وَبَوَّأْتَهُمْ دَارَ كَرَامَتِكَ

    wa bawwa'tahum dara karamatika

    and settled in the abode of Your honor,

14. وَأَقْرَرْتَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ بِٱلنَّظَرِ إِلَيْكَ يَوْمَ لِقَائِكَ

    wa aqrarta a`yunahum binnazari ilayka yawma liqa'ika

    whose eyes You have gladdened by gazing upon You on the day of meeting You,

15. وَأَوْرَثْتَهُمْ مَنَازِلَ ٱلصِّدْقِ فِي جَوَارِكَ

    wa awrathtahum manazila assidqi fi jiwarika

    and whom You have made heirs to the sure stations in Your neighborhood!

16. يَا مَنْ لاَ يَفِدُ ٱلْوَافِدُونَ عَلَىٰ أَكْرَمَ مِنْهُ

    ya man la yafidu alwafiduna `ala akrama minhu

    O He none more generous than whom is reached by the reachers

17. وَلاَ يَجِدُ ٱلْقَاصِدُونَ أَرْحَمَ مِنْهُ

    wa la yajidu alqasiduna arhama minhu

    and none more merciful than whom is found by the aimers!

18. يَا خَيْرَ مَنْ خَلا بِهِ وَحِيدٌ

    ya khayra man khala bihi wahidun

    O Best of those with whom the lonely are alone!

19. وَيَا أَعْطَفَ مَنْ آوَىٰ إِلَيْهِ طَرِيدٌ

    wa ya a`tafa man awa ilayhi taridun

    O most Tender of those with whom outcasts seek haven!

20. إِلَىٰ سَعَةِ عَفْوِكَ مَدَدْتُ يَدِي

    ila sa`ati `afwika madadtu yadi

    Toward the expanse of Your pardon have I extended my hand,

21. وَبِذَيْلِ كَرَمِكَ أَعْلَقْتُ كَفِّي

    wa bidhayli karamika a`laqtu kaffi

    upon the skirt of Your generosity have I fastened my grasp!

22. فَلاَ تُولِنِي ٱلْحِرْمَانَ

    fala tulini alhirmana

    Show me no deprivation

23. وَلاَ تُبْلِنِي بِٱلْخَيْبَةِ وَٱلْخُسْرَانِ

    wa la tublini bilkhaybati walkhusrani

    and afflict me not with disappointment and loss!

24. يَا سَمِيعَ ٱلدُّعَاءِ

    ya sami`a addu`a'i

    O Hearer of supplications!

25. يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

    ya arhama arrahimina

    O Most Merciful of the merciful!
