Sahoor Duas

Ramadan

1. يَا مَفْزَعِي عِنْدَ كُرْبَتِي

   ya mafza`i `inda kurbati

   O my Safe haven at grievances!

2. وَيَا غَوْثِي عِنْدَ شِدّتِي

   wa ya ghawthi `inda shiddati

   O my Aide at hardships!

3. إِلَيْكَ فَزِعْتُ

   ilayka fazi`tu

   To You do I turn,

4. وَبِكَ اسْتَغَثْتُ

   wa bika istaghathtu

   Your help do I seek,

5. وَبِكَ لُذْتُ

   wa bika ludhtu

   and with You do I take refuge.

6. لاَ أَلُوذُ بِسِوَاكَ

   la aludhu bisiwaka

   I seek refuge with none save You

7. وَلاَ أَطْلُبُ ٱلْفَرَجَ إِلاَّ مِنْكَ

   wa la atlubu alfaraja illa minka

   and I beseech none for relief save You.

8. فَأَغِثْنِي وَفَرِّجْ عَنِّي

   fa'aghithni wa farrij `anni

   So, (please) come to my help and free me from cares.

9. يَا مَنْ يَقْبَلُ ٱلْيَسِيرَ

   ya man yaqbalu alyasira

   O He Who accepts even the least efforts

10. وَيَعْفُو عَنِ ٱلْكَثِيرِ

    wa ya`fu `an alkathiri

    excuses the much wrongdoing!

11. إِقْبَلْ مِنِّي ٱلْيَسِيرَ

    iqbal minni alyasira

    (Please do) accept my little effort

12. وَٱعْفُ عَنِّي ٱلْكَثِيرَ

    wa`fu `anni alkathira

    excuse my much wrongdoing.

13. إِنِّكَ أَنْتَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

    innaka anta alghafuru alrrahimu

    Verily, You are the Oft-forgiving, Merciful (Lord).

14. اللِّهُمِّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ إِيـمَاناً تُبَاشِرُ بِهِ قَلْبِي

    allahumma inni as'aluka imanan tubashiru bihi qalbi

    O Allah, I ask for faith with which You may fill my heart

15. وَيَقِيناً حَتَّىٰ أَعْلَمَ أَنِّهُ لَنْ يُصِيبَنِي إِلاَّ مَا كَتَبْتَ لِي

    wa yaqinan hatta a`lama annahu lan yusibani illa ma katabta li

    and for certitude so that I shall always know that nothing will afflict me save what You have ordained for me.

16. وَرَضِّنِي مِنَ ٱلْعَيْشِ بِمَا قَسَمْتَ لِي

    wa raddini min al`ayshi bima qasamta li

    (Please) make me feel satisfied with the living that You decide for me.

17. يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

    ya arhama alrrahimina

    O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

18. يَا عُدِّتِي فِي كُرْبَتِي

    ya `uddati fi kurbati

    O my means at times of agonies!

19. وَيَا صَاحِبِي فِي شِدِّتِي

    wa ya sahibi fi shiddati

    O my companion at times of hardships!

20. وَيَا وَلِيِّي فِي نِعْمَتِي

    wa ya waliyyi fi ni`mati

    O Source of my all bounties!

21. وَيَا غَايَتِي فِي رَغْبَتِي

    wa ya ghayati fi raghbati

    O my ultimate goal whenever I desire for something!

22. أَنْتَ ٱلسَّاتِرُ عَوْرَتِي

    anta alssatiru `awrati

    It is You Who is the concealer of my defects,

23. وَٱلآمِنُ رَوْعَتِي

    wal-aminu raw`ati

    Who secures me at times of horror,

24. وَٱلْمُقِيلُ عَثْرَتِي

    wal-muqilu `athrati

    and Who overlooks my slips.

25. فَٱغْفِرْ لِي خَطِيئَتِي

    faghfir li khati'ati

    So, (please do) forgive my sin.

26. يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

    ya arhama alrrahimina

    O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

27. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ بَهَائِكَ بِأَبْهَاهُ

    allahumma inni as'aluka min baha'ika bi-abhahu

    O Allah, I ask You to give me from Your brilliance at its most splendrous,

28. وَكُلُّ بَهَائِكَ بَهِيٌّ

    wa kullu baha'ika bahiyyun

    and all Your glories are radiantly brilliant.

29. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِبَهَائِكَ كُلِّهِ

    allahumma inni as'aluka bibaha'ika kullihi

    O Allah, I beseech You in the name of all Your glories.

30. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ جَمَالِكَ بِأَجْمَلِهِ

    allahumma inni as'aluka min jamalika bi-ajmalihi

    O Allah, I ask You to grant me from Your beauty at its utmost ,

31. وَكُلُّ جَمَالِكَ جَمِيلٌ

    wa kullu jamalika jamilun

    and all Your beauties are beautiful.

32. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِجَمَالِكَ كُلِّهِ

    allahumma inni as'aluka bijamalika kullihi

    O Allah, I beseech You by all Your beauties.

33. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ جَلالِكَ بِأَجَلِّهِ

    allahumma inni as'aluka min jalalika bi-ajallihi

    O Allah, I ask You to give me from Your majesty that gives grandeur,

34. وَكُلُّ جَلالِكَ جَلِيلٌ

    wa kullu jalalika jalilun

    and all Your majestic powers are majestic.

35. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِجَلاَلِكَ كُلِّهِ

    allahumma inni as'aluka bijalalika kullehi

    O Allah, I beseech You in the name of all Your majesty.

36. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ عَظَمَتِكَ بِأَعْظَمِهَا

    allahumma inni as'aluka min `azamatika bi-a`zamiha

    O Allah, I ask You to give me from Your greatness at its greatest,

37. وَكُلُّ عَظَمَتِكَ عَظِيمَةٌ

    wa kullu `azamatika `azimatun

    and all Your greatness are great.

38. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِعَظَمَتِكَ كُلِّهَا

    allahumma inni as'aluka bi`azamatika kulliha

    O Allah, I beseech You in the name of all Your greatness.

39. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ نُورِكَ بِأَنْوَرِهِ

    allahumma inni as'aluka min nurika bi-anwarihi

    O Allah, I beseech You to give me from Your light at its utmost luminosity,

40. وَكُلُّ نُورِكَ نَيِّرٌ

    wa kullu nurika nayyirun

    and all Your Light is luminious.

41. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِنُورِكَ كُلِّهِ

    allahumma inni as'aluka binurika kullihi

    O Allah, I beseech You by all Your Light.

42. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ بِأَوْسَعِهَا

    allahumma inni as'aluka min rahmatika bi-awsa`iha

    O Allah, I ask You to give me from Your mercy at its utmost inclusiveness,

43. وَكُلُّ رَحْمَتِكَ وَاسِعَةٌ

    wa kullu rahmatika wasi`atun

    and all Your mercy is inclusive.

44. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ كُلِّهَا

    allahumma inni as'aluka birahmatika kulliha

    O Allah, I beseech You by all your mercy.

45. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ كَلِمَاتِكَ بِأَتَمِّهَا

    allahumma inni as'aluka min kalimatika bi-atammiha

    O Allah, I ask You to give me from Your Words at their utmost completeness,

46. وَكُلُّ كَلِمَاتِكَ تَامَّةٌ

    wa kullu kalimatika tammatun

    and all Your words are complete

47. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِكَلِمَاتِكَ كُلِّهَا

    allahumma inni as'aluka bikalimatika kulliha

    O Allah, I beseech You by all Your Words.

48. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ كَمَالِكَ بِأَكْمَلِهِ

    allahumma inni as'aluka min kamalika bi-akmalihi

    O Allah, I ask You to give me from Your perfections at their utmost perfectness

49. وَكُلُّ كَمَالِكَ كَامِلٌ

    wa kullu kamalika kamilun

    and all Your perfections are perfect.

50. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِكَمَالِكَ كُلِّهِ

    allahumma inni as'aluka bikamalika kullihi

    O Allah, I beseech You by all Your perfections.

51. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ أَسْمَائِكَ بِأَكْبَرِهَا

    allahumma inni as'aluka min asma'ika bi-akbariha

    O Allah, I ask You to give me from Your Names the greatest of them ,

52. وَكُلُّ أَسْمَائِكَ كَبِيرَةٌ

    wa kullu asma'ika kabiratun

    and all Your Names are great.

53. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَسْمَائِكَ كُلِّهَا

    allahumma inni as'aluka bi-asma'ika kulliha

    O Allah, I beseech You by all Your Names.

54. اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ عِزَّتِكَ بِأَعَزِّهَا

    allahumma inni as'aluka min `izzatika bi-a`azziha

    O Allah, I beseech You to give me from Your might at its mightiest,

55. وَكُلُّ عِزَّتِكَ عَزِيزَةٌ

    wa kullu `izzatika `azizatun

    and all Your might is mighty.

56. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِعِزِّتِكَ كُلِّهَا

    allahumma inni as'aluka bi`izzatika kulliha

    O Allah, I beseech You by all your might.

57. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ مَشِيئَتِكَ بِأَمْضَاهَا

    allahumma inni as'aluka min mashi'atika bi-amdaha

    O Allah, I ask You to give me from Your Will at its utmost effectualness

58. وَكُلُّ مَشِيئَتِكَ مَاضِيَةٌ

    wa kullu mashi'atika madiyatun

    and all Your willing is effectual.

59. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَشِيئَتِكَ كُلِّهَا

    allahumma inni as'aluka bimashi'atika kulliha

    O Allah, I beseech You by all Your Will.

60. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ قُدْرَتِكَ بِٱلْقُدْرَةِ ٱلَّتِي ٱسْتَطَلْتَ بِهَا عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ

    allahumma inni as'aluka min qudratika bilqudrati allati istatalta biha `ala kulli shay'in

    O Allah, I ask You to give me from Your that omnipotence which controls everything,

61. وَكُلُّ قُدْرَتِكَ مُسْتَطِيلَةٌ

    wa kullu qudratika mustatilatun

    and all your powers are prevailing.

62. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ كُلِّهَا

    allahumma inni as'aluka biqudratika kulliha

    O Allah, I beseech You by all Your omnipotence.

63. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ عِلْمِكَ بِأَنْفَذِهِ

    allahumma inni as'aluka min `ilmika bi-anfadhihi

    O Allah, I ask You to give me from Your knoweledge at its utmost pervasiveness,

64. وَكُلُّ عِلْمِكَ نَافِذٌ

    wa kullu `ilmika nafidhun

    and all Your knowledge is pervasive.

65. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِعِلْمِكَ كُلِّهِ

    allahumma inni as'aluka bi`ilmika kullihi

    O Allah, I beseech You all by Your knowledge.

66. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ قَوْلِكَ بِأَرْضَاهُ

    allahumma inni as'aluka min qawlika bi-ardahu

    O Allah, I ask You grant me from Your most admirable of sayings,

67. وَكُلُّ قَوْلِكَ رَضِيٌّ

    wa kullu qawlika radiyyun

    and all Your sayings are admirable.

68. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِقَوْلِكَ كُلِّهِ

    allahumma inni as'aluka biqawlika kullihi

    O Allah, I beseech You by all Your sayings.

69. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ مَسَائِلِكَ بِأَحَبِّهَا إِلَيْكَ

    allahumma inni as'aluka min masa'ilika bi-ahabbiha ilayka

    O Allah, I beseech You to grant me from the most cherished of requests made to You

70. وَكُلُّ مَسَائِلِكَ إِلَيْكَ حَبِيبَةٌ

    wa kullu masa'ilika ilayka habibatun

    and all requests made to you are cherished.

71. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَسَائِلِكَ كُلِّهَا

    allahumma inni as'aluka bimasa'ilika kulliha

    O Allah, I beseech You by all requests made to You.

72. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ شَرَفِكَ بِأَشْرَفِهِ

    allahumma inni as'aluka min sharafika bi-ashrafihi

    O Allah, I ask You to give me from Your dignity at its noblest,

73. وَكُلُّ شَرَفِكَ شَرِيفٌ

    wa kullu sharafika sharifun

    and all Your dignity is noble.

74. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِشَرَفِكَ كُلِّهِ

    allahumma inni as'aluka bisharafika kullihi

    O Allah, I beseech You by all Your dignity.

75. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ سُلْطَانِكَ بِأَدْوَمِهِ

    allahumma inni as'aluka min sultanika bi-adwamihi

    O Allah, I ask You to grant me from Your most enduring authority,

76. وَكُلُّ سُلْطَانِكَ دَائِمٌ

    wa kullu sultanika da'imun

    and all Your authority is enduring.

77. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِسُلْطَانِكَ كُلِّهِ

    allahumma inni as'aluka bisultanika kullihi

    O Allah, I beseech You by all Your authority.

78. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ مُلْكِكَ بِأَفْخَرِهِ

    allahumma inni as'aluka min mulkika bi-afkharihi

    O Allah, I ask You to grant me from Your kingdom at its utmost magnificence,

79. وَكُلُّ مُلْكِكَ فَاخِرٌ

    wa kullu mulkika fakhirun

    and all Your kingdom is magnificent.

80. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمُلْكِكَ كُلِّهِ

    allahumma inni as'aluka bimulkika kullihi

    O Allah, I beseech You by Your entire kingdom.

81. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ عُلُوِّكَ بِأَعْلاهُ

    allahumma inni as'aluka min `uluwwika bi-a`lahu

    O Allah, I ask You to grant me from Your highness at its utmost sublimity

82. وَكُلُّ عُلُوِّكَ عَالٍ

    wa kullu `uluwwika `alin

    and all Your eminence is sublime.

83. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِعُلُوِّكَ كُلِّهِ

    allahumma inni as'aluka bi`uluwwika kullihi

    O Allah, I beseech You by all Your highness.

84. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ مَنِّكَ بِأَقْدَمِهِ

    allahumma inni as'aluka min mannika bi-aqdamihi

    O Allah, I ask You to grant me from Your earliest of favours,

85. وَكُلُّ مَنِّكَ قَدِيمٌ

    wa kullu mannika qadimun

    and all Your bounties are pre eternal.

86. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَنِّكَ كُلِّهِ

    allahumma inni as'aluka bimannika kullihi

    O Allah, I beseech You by all Your bounties.

87. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ آيَاتِكَ بِأَكْرَمِهَا

    allahumma inni as'aluka min ayatika bi-akramiha

    O Allah, I ask You to grant me noblest of Your signs which gives out freely,

88. وَكُلُّ آيَاتِكَ كَرِيمَةٌ

    wa kullu ayatika karimatun

    and all Your signs are noble.

89. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بآيَاتِكَ كُلِّهَا

    allahumma inni as'aluka bi-ayatika kulliha

    O Allah, I beseech You by of all Your signs.

90. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَا أَنْتَ فِيهِ مِنَ ٱلشَّأْنِ وَٱلْجَبَرُوتِ

    allahumma inni as'aluka bima anta fihi min alshsha'ni waljabaruti

    O Allah, I ask You to give me whereby You exercises absolute authority and power,

91. وَأَسْأَلُكَ بِكُلِّ شَأْنٍ وَحْدَهُ وَجَبَرُوتٍ وَحْدَهَا

    wa as'aluka bikulli sha'nin wahdahu wa jabarutin wahdaha

    I beseech You by the works that engage You and Your prepotency, by every single work and every single prepotency.

92. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَا تُجِيبُنِي بِهِ حِينَ أَسْأَلُكَ فَأَجِبْنِي يَا اللَّهُ

    allahumma inni as'aluka bima tujibuni bihi hina as'aluka fa-ajibni ya allahu

    O Allah, I beseech You by that whereby You will answer my supplication So answer me, O Allah!

93. يَا عُدَّتِي فِي كُرْبَتِي

    ya `uddati fi kurbati

    O my means in troubles!

94. وَيَا صَاحِبِي فِي شِدَّتِي

    wa ya sahibi fi shiddati

    O my Companion in hardships!

95. وَيَا وَلِيِّي فِي نِعْمَتِي

    wa ya waliyyi fi ni`mati

    O the Provider of my amenities!

96. وَيَا غَايَتِي فِي رَغْبَتِي

    wa ya ghayati fi raghbati

    O the utmost of my desires!

97. أَنْتَ ٱلسَّاتِرُ عَوْرَتِي

    anta alssatiru `awrati

    It is You Who conceals my defects,

98. وَٱلْمُؤْمِنُ رَوْعَتِي

    walmu'minu raw`ati

    relieves my apprehensions,

99. وَٱلْمُقِيلُ عَثْرَتِي

    walmuqilu `athrati

    and overlooks my slips.

100. فَٱغْفِرْ لِي خَطِيئَتِي

     faghfir li khati'ati

     So, (please do) forgive my sin.

101. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خُشُوعَ ٱلإِيـمَانِ

     allahumma inni as'aluka khushu`a al'imani

     O Allah, I pray You for the submission of faith

102. قَبْلَ خُشُوعِ ٱلذُلَّ فِي ٱلنَّارِ

     qabla khushu`i aldhulli fi alnnari

     before I encounter the submission of humiliation in Hellfire.

103. يَا وَاحِدُ يَا أَحَدُ يَا صَمَدُ

     ya wahidu ya ahadu ya samadu

     O One!: O Absolute! O Besought of all!

104. يَا مَنْ لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ

     ya man lam yalid wa lam yulad

     O He Who neither begets nor is He begotten,

105. وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُواً أَحَدٌ

     wa lam yakun lahu kufwan ahadun

     and there is none like to Him

106. يَا مَنْ يُعْطِي مَنْ سَأَلَهُ

     ya man yu`ti man sa'alahu

     O He Who confers upon one who beseeches Him

107. تَحَنُّناً مِنْهُ وَرَحْمَةً

     tahannunan minhu wa rahmatan

     on account of His sympathy and mercy,

108. وَيَبْتَدِئُ بِٱلْخَيْرِ مَنْ لَمْ يَسْأَلْهُ

     wa yabtadi'u bilkhayri man lam yas'alhu

     and initially grants welfare to those who have not asked for it,

109. تَفَضُّلاً مِنْهُ وَكَرَماً

     tafaddulan minhu wa karaman

     on account of His liberality and generosity!

110. بِكَرَمِكَ ٱلدَّائِمِ

     bikaramika aldda'imi

     I beseech You in the name of Your endless generosity

111. صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

     salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

     to bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

112. وَهَبْ لِي رَحْمَةً وَاسِعَةً جَامِعَةً

     wa hab li rahmatan wasi`atan jami`atan

     and bestow upon me with mercy—vast and comprehensive—

113. أَبْلُغُ بِهَا خَيْرَ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ

     ablughu biha khayra alddunya wal-akhirati

     by which I can win the welfare of this world as well as the Next World.

114. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ لِمَا تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ عُدْتُ فِيهِ

     allahumma inni astaghfiruka lima tubtu ilayka minhu thumm `udtu fihi

     O Allah, I implore for Your forgiveness of the sins from which I had repented to You but I committed them again.

115. وَأَسْتَغْفِرُكَ لِكُلِّ خَيْرٍ أَرَدْتُ بِهِ وَجْهَكَ

     wa astaghfiruka likulli khayrin aradtu bihi wajhaka

     I implore for Your forgiveness of my righteous acts that although I intended them purely for Your sake,

116. فَخَالَطَنِي فِيهِ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ

     fakhalatani fihi ma laysa laka

     some purposes that are not intended for You intruded upon them.

117. اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

     allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

     O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

118. وَٱعْفُ عَنْ ظُلْمِي وَجُرْمِي

     wa`fu `an zulmi wa jurmi

     and pardon my transgression and my offenses,

119. بِحِلْمِكَ وَجُودِكَ يَا كَرِيمُ

     bihilmika wa judika ya karimu

     in the name of Your forbearance and magnanimity. O All-generous!

120. يَا مَنْ لاَ يَخِيبُ سَائِلُهُ

     ya man la yakhibu sa'iluhu

     O He Whose beseecher will never be disappointed!

121. وَلاَ يَنْفَدُ نَائِلُهُ

     wa la yanfadu na'iluhu

     O He Whose His rewards will never run out!

122. يَا مَنْ عَلاَ فَلاَ شَيْءَ فَوْقَهُ

     ya man `ala fala shay'a fawqahu

     O He Who is so Elevated that nothing can ever be higher than He is

123. وَدَنَا فَلاَ شَيْءَ دُونَهُ

     wa dana fala shay'a dunahu

     and Who is so Nigh that nothing can ever be closer that He is!

124. صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

     salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

     (Please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

125. وَٱرْحَمْنِي

     warhamni

     and have mercy upon me,

126. يَا فَالِقَ ٱلْبَحْرِ لِمُوسَىٰ

     ya faliqa albahri limusa

     O He Who split asunder the sea for (Prophet) Moses,

127. ٱللَّيْلَةَ ٱللَّيْلَةَ ٱللَّيْلَةَ

     allaylata allaylata allaylata

     this very night, this very night, this very night,

128. ٱلسَّاعَةَ ٱلسَّاعَةَ ٱلسَّاعَةَ

     alssa`ata alssa`ata alssa`ata

     this very hour, this very hour, this very hour.

129. اَللَّهُمَّ طَهِّرْ قَلْبِي مِنَ ٱلنِّفَاقِ

     allahumma tahhir qalbi min alnnifaqi

     O Allah, (please do) purify my heart from hypocrisy,

130. وَعَمَلِي مِنَ ٱلرِّيَاءِ

     wa `amali min alrriya'i

     my acts from showing off,

131. وَلِسَانِي مِنَ ٱلكَذِبِ

     wa lisani min alkadhibi

     my tongue from telling untruths,

132. وَعَيْنِي مِنَ ٱلْخِيَانَةِ

     wa `ayni min alkhiyanati

     and my eye from treason.

133. فَإِنَّكَ تَعْلَمُ خَائِنَةَ ٱلأَعْيُنِ وَمَا تُخْفِي ٱلصُّدُورُ

     fa'innaka ta`lamu kha'inata al-a`yuni wa ma tukhfi alssuduru

     You verily know the stealthy looks and that which the breasts conceal.

134. يَا رَبِّ هٰذَا مَقَامُ ٱلْعَائِذِ بِكَ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ

     ya rabbi hadha maqamu al`a'idhi bika min alnnari

     O my Lord, this is the manner of him who seeks Your protection from Hellfire.

135. هٰذَا مَقَامُ ٱلْمُسْتَجِيرِ بِكَ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ

     hadha maqamu almustajiri bika min alnnari

     This is the manner of him who seeks Your shelter against Hellfire.

136. هٰذَا مَقَامُ ٱلْمُسْتَغِيثِ بِكَ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ

     hadha maqamu almustaghithi bika min alnnari

     This is the manner of him who seeks Your aid against Hellfire.

137. هٰذَا مَقَامُ ٱلْهَارِبِ إِلَيْكَ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ

     hadha maqamu alharibi ilayka min alnnari

     This is the manner of him who flees to You from Hellfire.

138. هٰذَا مَقَامُ مَنْ يَبُوءُ لَكَ بِخَطِيئَتِهِ

     hadha maqamu man yabu'u laka bikhati'atihi

     This is the manner of him who returns to You carrying his offenses,

139. وَيَعْتَرِفُ بِذَنْبِهِ

     wa ya`tarifu bidhanbihi

     confessing of his sins,

140. وَيَتُوبُ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِ

     wa yatubu ila rabbihi

     and repenting to You—his Lord.

141. هٰذَا مَقَامُ ٱلْبَائِسِ ٱلْفَقِيرِ

     hadha maqamu alba'isi alfaqiri

     This is the manner of the miserable and poor.

142. هٰذَا مَقَامُ ٱلْخَائِفِ ٱلْمُسْتَجِيرِ

     hadha maqamu alkha'ifi almustajiri

     This is the manner of the fearful and seeker of Your refuge.

143. هٰذَا مَقَامُ ٱلْمَحْزُونِ ٱلْمَكْرُوبِ

     hadha maqamu almahzuni almakrubi

     This is the manner of the aggrieved and distressed.

144. هٰذَا مَقَامُ ٱلْمَغْمُومِ ٱلْمَهْمُومِ

     hadha maqamu almaghmumi almahmumi

     This is the manner of the depressing and gloomy.

145. هٰذَا مَقَامُ ٱلْغَرِيبِ ٱلْغَرِيقِ

     hadha maqamu algharibi alghariqi

     This is the manner of the stranger and drowned.

146. هٰذَا مَقَامُ ٱلْمُسْتَوْحِشِ ٱلْفَرِقِ

     hadha maqamu almustawhishi alfariqi

     This is the manner of the alienated and frightened.

147. هٰذَا مَقَامُ مَنْ لاَ يَجِدُ لِذَنْبِهِ غَافِراً غَيْرَكَ

     hadha maqamu man la yajidu lidhanbihi ghafiran ghayraka

     This is the manner of him who cannot find anyone save You to forgive his sins,

148. وَلاَ لِضَعْفِهِ مُقَوِّياً إِلاَّ أَنْتَ

     wa la lida`fihi muqawiyyan illa anta

     who cannot find anyone save You to give him power,

149. وَلاَ لِهَمِّهِ مُفَرِّجاً سِوَاكَ

     wa la lihammihi mufarrijan siwaka

     and who cannot find anyone save You to relieve his grief.

150. يَا اللَّهُ يَا كَرِيمُ

     ya allahu ya karimu

     O Allah! O All-generous!

151. لاَ تُحْرِقْ وَجْهِي بِٱلنَّارِ بَعْدَ سُجُودِي لَكَ وَتَعْفِيرِي

     la tuhriq wajhi bilnnari ba`da sujudi laka wa ta`firi

     (please) do not burn my face with Hellfire after I have prostrated myself before You and I have soiled my face for You.

152. بِغَيرِ مَنٍّ مِنِّي عَلَيْكَ

     bighayri mannin minni `alayka

     Of course, this is not a personal favor that I have done to myself;

153. بَلْ لَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ وَٱلْمَنُّ وَٱلتَّفَضُّلُ عَلَيَّ

     bal laka alhamdu walmannu walttafaddulu `alayya

     rather, it is on account of Your praiseworthy favor to and guidance of me.

154. إِرْحَمْ أَيْ رَبِّ أَيْ رَبِّ أَيْ رَبِّ

     irham ay rabbi ay rabbi ay rabbi…

     So, have mercy, O Lord! O Lord! O Lord…

155. ضَعْفِي

     da`fi

     upon my weakness,

156. وَقِلَّةَ حِيلَتِي

     wa qillata hilati

     upon my confusedness,

157. وَرِقَّةَ جِلْدِي

     wa riqqata jildi

     upon the softness of my skin,

158. وَتَبَدُّدَ أَوْصَالِي

     wa tabadduda awsali

     upon the separation of my organs,

159. وَتَنَاثُرَ لَحْمِي وَجِسْمِي وَجَسَدِي

     wa tanathura lahmi wa jismi wa jasadi

     upon the dispersal of my flesh, body, and corpse,

160. وَوَحْدَتِي وَوَحْشَتِي فِي قَبْرِي

     wa wahdati wa wahshati fi qabri

     upon my loneliness and lonesomeness in my grave,

161. وَجَزَعِي مِنْ صَغِيرِ ٱلْبَلاَءِ

     wa jaza`i min saghiri albala'i

     and upon my anxiety at the least misfortune that inflicts me.

162. أَسْأَلُكَ يَا رَبِّ قُرَّةَ ٱلْعَيْنِ وَٱلاِغْتِبَاطَ

     as'aluka ya rabbi qurrata al`ayni walightibata

     I beseech You, O Lord, for delight and happiness

163. يَوْمَ ٱلْحَسْرَةِ وَٱلنَّدَامَةِ

     yawma alhasrati walnnadamati

     on the Day of regret and remorse.

164. بَيِّضْ وَجْهِي يَا رَبِّ يَوْمَ تَسْوَدُّ ٱلْوُجُوهُ

     bayyid wajhi ya rabbi yawma taswaddu alwujuhu

     (Please do) whiten my face, O Lord, when some faces will be blackened.

165. آمِنِّي مِنَ ٱلْفَزَعِ ٱلأَكْبَرِ

     aminni min alfaza`i al-akbari

     (Please do) secure me against the Gravest Horror.

166. أَسْأَلُكَ ٱلْبُشْرَىٰ يَوْمَ تُقَلَّبُ ٱلْقُلُوبُ وَٱلأَبْصَارُ

     as'aluka albushra yawma tuqallabu alqulubu wal-absaru

     I beseech You for good tidings when hearts and sights shall be turned about

167. وَٱلْبُشْرَىٰ عِنْدَ فِرَاقِ ٱلدُّنْيَا

     walbushra `inda firaqi alddunya

     and for good tidings when I depart this life.

168. الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي أَرْجُوهُ عَوْناً لِي فِي حَيَاتِي

     alhamdu lillahi alladhi arjuhu `awnan li fi hayati

     All praise be to Allah Whom I hope for supporting me in my life

169. وَأُعِدُّهُ ذُخْراً لِيَوْمِ فَاقَتِي

     wa u`idduhu dhukhran liyawmi faqati

     and Whom I want to act as my Provision on the day of my neediness.

170. الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي أَدْعُوهُ وَلاَ أَدْعُو غَيْرَهُ

     alhamdu lillahi alladhi ad`uhu wa la ad`u ghayrahu

     All praise be to Allah Whom alone do I beseech and I never beseech anyone rather than Him;

171. وَلَوْ دَعَوْتُ غَيْرَهُ لَخَيَّبَ دُعَائِي

     wa law da`awtu ghayrahu lakhayyaba du`a'i

     and even if I beseech anyone else, he will definitely let me down.

172. الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي أَرْجُوهُ وَلاَ أَرْجُو غَيْرَهُ

     alhamdu lillahi alladhi arjuhu wa la arju ghayrahu

     All praise be to Allah for Whom I hope and I never hope for anyone rather than Him;

173. وَلَوْ رَجَوْتُ غَيْرَهُ َلأَخْلَفَ رَجَائِي

     wa law rajawtu ghayrahu la-akhlafa raja'i

     and even if I hope for anyone else, he will definitely disappoint me.

174. الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلْمُنْعِمِ ٱلْمُحْسِنِ

     alhamdu lillahi almun`imi almuhsini

     All praise be to Allah, the All-benefactor, the All-donor,

175. ٱلْمُجْمِلِ ٱلْمُفْضِلِ

     almujmili almufdili

     the All-favorer, the All-liberal,

176. ذِي ٱلْجَلالِ وَٱلإِكْرَامِ

     dhi aljalali wal-ikrami

     the Lord of Majesty and Honor,

177. وَلِيُّ كُلِّ نِعْمَةٍ

     waliyyu kulli ni`matin

     the Source of all bounties,

178. وَصَاحِبُ كُلِّ حَسَنَةٍ

     wa sahibu kulli hasanatin

     the Cause of all good deeds,

179. وَمُنْتَهَىٰ كُلِّ رَغْبَةٍ

     wa muntaha kulli raghbatin

     the Ultimate Goal of all desires,

180. وَقَاضِي كُلِّ حَاجَةٍ

     wa qadi kulli hajatin

     and the Answerer of all needs.

181. اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

     allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

     O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

182. وَٱرْزُقْنِي ٱلْيَقِينَ وَحُسْنَ ٱلظَّنِّ بِكَ

     warzuqni alyaqina wa husna alzzanni bika

     and grant me conviction and having good idea about You,

183. وَأَثْبِتْ رَجَاءَكَ فِي قَلْبِي

     wa athbit raja'aka fi qalbi

     fix my hope for You in my heart,

184. وَٱقْطَعْ رَجَائِي عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ

     waqta` raja'i `amman siwaka

     and deprive me of putting my hope in anyone other than You,

185. حَتَّىٰ لاَ أَرْجُوَ غَيْرَكَ وَلاَ أَثِقَ إِلاَّ بِكَ

     hatta la arjwa ghayraka wa la athiqa illa bika

     so that I shall hope for none but You and I shall trust none but You.

186. يَا لَطِيفاً لِمَا تَشَاءُ

     ya latifan lima tasha'u

     O He Who is Benignant to whom He pleases!

187. أُلْطُفْ لِي فِي جَمِيعِ أَحْوَالِي بِمَا تُحِبُّ وَتَرْضَىٰ

     ultuf li fi jami`i ahwali bima tuhibbu wa tarda

     (Please do) have benignity to me in all my manners in the very way that You like and please.

188. يَا رَبِّ إِنِّي ضَعِيفٌ عَلَىٰ ٱلنَّارِ فَلاَ تُعَذِّبْنِي بِٱلنَّارِ

     ya rabbi inni da`ifun `ala alnnari fala tu`adhdhibni bilnnari

     O my Lord, I am too weak to encounter Your Fire; therefore, (please) do not punish me with Your Fire.

189. يَا رَبِّ ٱرْحَمْ دُعَائِي وَتَضَرُّعِي

     ya rabbi irham du`a'i wa tadarru`i

     O my Lord, (please do) have mercy upon my prayers, my earnest imploring,

190. وَخَوْفِي وَذُلِّي وَمَسْكَنَتِي

     wa khawfi wa dhulli wa maskanati

     my fear, my humiliation, my neediness,

191. وَتَعْوِيذِي وَتَلْوِيذِي

     wa ta`widhi wa talwidhi

     my seeking Your protection, and my seeking Your refuge.

192. يَا رَبِّ إِنِّي ضَعِيفٌ عَنْ طَلَبِ ٱلدُّنْيَا

     ya rabbi inni da`ifun `an talabi alddunya

     O my Lord, I am too weak to seek earnings in this world

193. وَأَنْتَ وَاسِعٌ كَرِيمٌ

     wa anta wasi`un karimun

     and You are Ample-giving and All-generous.

194. أَسْأَلُكَ يَا رَبِّ بِقُوَّتِكَ عَلَىٰ ذٰلِكَ

     as'aluka ya rabbi biquwwatika `ala dhalika

     I beseech You, O my Lord, in the name of Your power over that,

195. وَقُدْرَتِكَ عَلَيْهِ

     wa qudratika `alayhi

     Your supremacy over that,

196. وَغِنَاكَ عَنْهُ

     wa ghinaka `anhu

     Your dispensing with that,

197. وَحَاجَتِي إِلَيْهِ

     wa hajati ilayhi

     and my urgent need for that

198. أَنْ تَرْزُقَنِي فِي عَامِي هٰذَا

     an tarzuqani fi `ami hadha

     to grant me sustenance in this year,

199. وَشَهْرِي هٰذَا

     wa shahri hadha

     in this month,

200. وَيَوْمِي هٰذَا

     wa yawmi hadha

     on this day,

201. وَسَاعَتِي هٰذِهِ

     wa sa`ati hadhihi

     at this hour—

202. رِزْقاً تُغْنِينِي بِهِ عَنْ تَكَلُّفِ مَا فِي أَيْدِي ٱلنَّاسِ

     rizqan tughnini bihi `an takallufi ma fi aydi alnnasi

     sustenance by which You may make me dispense with what the others possess,

203. مِنْ رِزْقِكَ ٱلْحَلاَلِ ٱلطَّيِّبِ

     min rizqika alhalali alttayyibi

     from Your sustenance, legal and nice.

204. أَيْ رَبِّ مِنْكَ أَطْلُبُ

     ay rabbi minka atlubu

     O my Lord, from You do I ask,

205. وَإِلَيْكَ أَرْغَبُ

     wa ilayka arghabu

     for You do I desire,

206. وَإِيَّاكَ أَرْجُو

     wa iyyaka arju

     and for You do I hope;

207. وَأَنْتَ أَهْلُ ذٰلِكَ

     wa anta ahlu dhalika

     and You are the worthiest of being hoped.

208. لاَ أَرْجُو غَيْرَكَ

     la arju ghayraka

     I hope for none but You

209. وَلاَ أَثِقُ إِلاَّ بِكَ

     wa la athiqu illa bika

     and I trust in none but You.

210. يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

     ya arhama alrrahimina

     O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

211. أَيْ رَبِّ ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي

     ay rabbi zalamtu nafsi

     O my Lord, I have wronged myself;

212. فَٱغْفِرْ لِي وَٱرْحَمْنِي وَعَافِنِي

     faghfir li warhamni wa `afini

     so, (please do) forgive me, have mercy upon me, and grant me good health.

213. يَا سَامِعَ كُلِّ صَوْتٍ

     ya sami`a kulli sawtin

     O Hearer of all sounds!

214. وَيَا جَامِعَ كُلِّ فَوْتٍ

     wa ya jami`a kulli fawtin

     O He Who takes precedence over everything that passes away!

215. وَيَا بَارِئَ ٱلنُّفُوسِ بَعْدَ ٱلْمَوْتِ

     wa ya bari'a alnnufusi ba`da almawti

     O Reviver of all souls after death!

216. يَا مَنْ لاَ تَغْشَاهُ ٱلظُّلُمَاتُ

     ya man la taghshahu alzzulumatu

     O He Whom is not screened by murk!

217. وَلاَ تَشْتَبِهُ عَلَيْهِ ٱلأَصْوَاتُ

     wa la tashtabihu `alayhi al-aswatu

     O He Whom is not made confused by sounds!

218. وَلاَ يَشْغَلُهُ شَيْءٌ عَنْ شَيْءٍ

     wa la yashghaluhu shay'un `an shay'in

     O He Whom is not engaged by something against another thing!

219. أَعْطِ مُحَمَّداً صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ أَفْضَلَ مَا سَأَلَكَ

     a`ti muhammadan salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi afdala ma sa'alaka

     (Please do) grant Muhammad—peace be upon him and his Household—the best of all that for which he has besought You,

220. وَأَفْضَلَ مَا سُئِلْتَ لَه

     wa afdala ma su'ilta lahu

     the best of all that which has been asked from You for him,

221. وَأَفْضَلَ مَا أَنْتَ مَسْؤُولٌ لَهُ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَامَةِ

     wa afdala ma anta mas'ulun lahu ila yawmi alqiyamati

     and the best all that which You shall be asked for him up to the Resurrection Day;

222. وَهَبْ لِيَ ٱلْعَافِيَةَ حَتَّىٰ تُهَنِّئَنِي ٱلْمَعِيشَةَ

     wa hab liya al`afiyata hatta tuhanni'ani alma`ishata

     and grant me good health so that I may enjoy my life,

223. وَٱخْتِمْ لِي بِخَيْرٍ حَتَّىٰ لاَ تَضُرَّنِي ٱلذُّنُوبُ

     wakhtim li bikhayrin hatta la tadurrani aldhdhunubu

     an end up my life with a happy end so that my sins may not injure me.

224. اَللَّهُمَّ رَضِّنِي بِمَا قَسَمْتَ لِي حَتَّىٰ لاَ أَسْأَلَ أَحَداً شَيْئاً

     allahumma raddini bima qasamta li hatta la as'ala ahadan shay'an

     O Allah, (please do) make me satisfied with that which You have decided for me so that I will not ask anyone else for anything.

225. اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

     allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

     O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

226. وَٱفْتَحْ لِي خَزَائِنَ رَحْمَتِكَ

     waftah li khaza'ina rahmatika

     open to me the stores of Your mercy,

227. وَٱرْحَمْنِي رَحْمَةً لاَ تُعَذِّبُنِي بَعْدَهَا أَبَداً فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ

     warhamni rahmatan la tu`adhdhibuni ba`daha abadan fi alddunya wal-akhirati

     cover me with mercy from You owing to which You will not punish me neither in this world nor in the Hereafter,

228. وَٱرْزُقْنِي مِنْ فَضْلِكَ ٱلْوَاسِعِ رِزْقاً حَلاَلاً طَيِّباً

     warzuqni min fadlika alwasi`i rizqan halalan tayyiban

     grant me legal and pleasant sustenance from Your limitless favor

229. لاَ تُفْقِرُنِي إِلَىٰ أَحَدٍ بَعْدَهُ سِوَاكَ

     la tufqiruni ila ahadin ba`dahu siwaka

     owing to which You will make me dispense with anyone other than You;

230. تَزِيدُنِي بِذٰلِكَ شُكْراً

     taziduni bidhalika shukran

     increasing my gratitude to You

231. وَإِلَيْكَ فَاقَةً وَفَقْراً

     wa ilayka faqatan wa faqran

     and my neediness and submission before You,

232. وَبِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ غِنَىٰ وَتَعَفُّفاً

     wa bika `amman siwaka ghinan wa ta`affufan

     and increasing my dispensing with and doing without everyone save You.

233. يَا مُحْسِنُ يَا مُجْمِلُ

     ya muhsinu ya mujmilu

     O All-benefactor! O All-donor!

234. يَا مُنْعِمُ يَا مُفْضِلُ

     ya mun`imu ya mufdilu

     O All-favorer! O All-liberal!

235. يَا مَلِيكُ يَا مُقْتَدِرُ

     ya maliku ya muqtadiru

     O All-omnipotent! O All-sovereign!

236. صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

     salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

     (Please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

237. وَٱكْفِنِي ٱلْمُهِمَّ كُلَّهُ

     wakfini almuhimma kullahu

     and relieve me from all grievances,

238. وَٱقْضِ لِي بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ

     waqdi li bilhusna

     decide the most excellent for me,

239. وَبَارِكْ لِي فِي جَمِيعِ أُمُورِي

     wa barik li fi jami`i umuri

     bless all my affairs,

240. وَٱقْضِ لِي جَمِيعَ حَوَائِجِي

     waqdi li jami`a hawa'iji

     and settle all my needs.

241. اَللَّهُمَّ يَسِّرْ لِي مَا أَخَافُ تَعْسِيرَهُ

     allahumma yassir li ma akhafu ta`sirahu

     O Allah, (please do) make easy for me all that which I anticipate to be difficult,

242. فَإِنَّ تَيْسِيرَ مَا أَخَافُ تَعْسِيرَهُ عَلَيْكَ سَهْلٌ يَسِيرٌ

     fa'inna taysira ma akhafu ta`sirahu `alayka sahlun yasirun

     for it is quite easy for You to make easy for me that which I anticipate to be difficult.

243. وَسَهِّلْ لِي مَا أَخَافُ حُزُونَتَهُ

     wa sahhil li ma akhafu huzunatahu

     (Please do) facilitate for me that I anticipate to be complicated,

244. وَنَفِّسْ عَنِّي مَا أَخَافُ ضِيقَهُ

     wa naffis `anni ma akhafu diqahu

     give vent to that which I anticipate to be narrow,

245. وَكُفَّ عَنِّي مَا أَخَافُ هَمَّهُ

     wa kuffa `anni ma akhafu hammahu

     save me from that which I anticipate to cause me distress,

246. وَٱصْرِفْ عَنِّي مَا أَخَافُ بَلِيَّتَهُ

     wasrif `anni ma akhafu baliyyatahu

     and guard me from that which I anticipate to cause me misfortune.

247. يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

     ya arhama alrrahimina

     O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

248. اَللَّهُمَّ ٱمْلَأْ قَلْبِي حُبّاً لَكَ

     allahumma imla' qalbi hubban laka

     O Allah, (please do) fill in my heart with love for You,

249. وَخَشْيَةً مِنْكَ

     wa khashyatan minka

     fear from You,

250. وَتَصْدِيقاً لَكَ

     wa tasdiqan laka

     belief in You,

251. وَإِيـمَاناً بِكَ

     wa imanan bika

     faith in You,

252. وَفَرَقاً مِنْكَ

     wa faraqan minka

     dread from You,

253. وَشَوْقاً إِلَيْكَ

     wa shawqan ilayka

     and eagerness to You.

254. يَا ذَا ٱلْجَلالِ وَٱلإِكْرَامِ

     ya dha aljalali wal-ikrami

     O Lord of Majesty and Honor!

255. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ لَكَ حُقُوقاً فَتَصَدَّقْ بِهَا عَلَيَّ

     allahumma inna laka huquqan fatasaddaq biha `alayya

     O Allah, I owe You some rights; so, (please do) consider them alms and excuse me from their liabilities.

256. وَلِلنَّاسِ قِبَلِي تَبِعَاتٌ فَتَحَمَّلْهَا عَنِّي

     wa lilnnasi qibali tabi`atun fatahammalha `anni

     I also owe people some responsibilities; so, (please do) release me from their charges.

257. وَقَدْ أَوْجَبْتَ لِكُلِّ ضَيْفٍ قِرَىٰ

     wa qad awjabta likulli dayfin qiran

     You have instructed us to honor our guests,

258. وَأَنَا ضَيْفُكَ فَٱجْعَلْ قِرَايَ ٱللَّيْلَةَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ

     wa ana dayfuka faj`al qiraya allaylata aljannata

     and I am Your guest at this night; so, (please do) decide Paradise for me as honor at this night.

259. يَا وَهَّابَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ

     ya wahhaba aljannati

     O Grantor of Paradise!

260. يَا وَهَّابَ ٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ

     ya wahhaba almaghfirati

     O Grantor of forgiveness!

261. وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِكَ

     wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa bika

     There is no power nor might save with You.

262. سُبْحانَكَ لا إلَهَ إلاّ أنتَ

     subhanaka la ilaha illa anta

     Glory be to You. There is no god save You.

263. يا رَبَّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَوارِثَهُ

     ya rabba kulli shay‘in wawarithahu

     O the Lord and the Inheritor of all things.

264. يا إلَهَ الآلِهَةِ الرَّفيعُ جَلالُهُ،

     ya ilaha al-alihati alrrafi`u jalaluhu,

     O the God of gods; whose majesty is elevated.

265. يا اَللهُ المَحْمودُ في كُلِّ فِعالِهِ،

     ya allahu almahmudu fy kulli fi`alihi,

     O Allah, the Praised for all of His acts.

266. يا رَحْمنَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَراحِمَهُ،

     ya rahmana kulli shay‘in warahimahu,

     O the All-beneficent and the All-merciful of all things.

267. يا حَيُّ حينَ لا حَيُّ في دَيْمومَةِ مُلكِهِ وَبَقائِهِ،

     ya hayyu hina la hayyu fy daymumati mulkihi wabaqa’ihi,

     O the Ever-living, when there was nothing existent, in the perpetuity of His kingdom and eternity.

268. يا قَيُّومُ فَلا يَفوتُ شَيْءٌ مِنْ عِلْمِهِ وَلا يَؤودُهُ،

     ya qayyumu fala yafutu shay‘un min `ilmihi wala yau´uduhu,

     O the Self-Subsisting; nothing can be missed by Your knowledge and nothing can ever tire Him.

269. يا واحِدُ البَاقِي أوَّلَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَآخِرَهُ.

     ya wahidu albaqiy awwala kulli shay‘in wakhirahu.

     O the One, the Everlasting, the First and the Last of all things.

270. يا دائِمُ بِغَيْرِ فَناءٍ وَلا زَوالَ لِمُلْكِهِ،

     ya da’imu bighayri fana‘in wala zawala limulkihi,

     O the Perpetual without extinction, and His kingdom is never exposed to extermination.

271. يا صَمَدُ في غَيْرِ شَبيهٍ وَلا شَيْءَ كَمِثْلِهِ،

     ya samadu fy ghayri shabihin wala shay‘a kamithlihi,

     O the Besought of all; without being any match to Him and there is nothing like Him.

272. يا بارُّ فَلا شَيْءَ كُفْوُهُ وَلا مُدانِيَ لِوَصْفِهِ،

     ya barru fala shay‘a kuf’uhu walamudaniya liwasfihi,

     O the Upright; nothing can be His equal and nothing can even approach Him in attributes.

273. يا كَبيرُ أنْتَ الَّذي لا تَهْتَدي القُلوبُ لِعَظَمَتِهِ،

     ya kabiru anta alladhy la tahtady alqulubu li`azamatihi,

     O the All-big; it is You Whose greatness cannot be hit by hearts.

274. يا بارِئُ الْمُنْشَيْءَ بِلا مِثالٍ خَلا مِنْ غَيْرِهِ،

     ya bari’u almunshi‘u bila mithalin khalamin ghayrihi,

     O the Originator, the Maker, without having any equivalent.

275. يا زاكي الطّاهِرُ مِنْ كُلِّ آفَةٍ بِقُدْسِهِ،

     ya zaky alttahiru min kulli afatin biqudsihi,

     O the Pure, the Safe from any defect due to His Holiness.

276. يا كافي الْمُوسِعُ لِما خَلَقَ مِنْ عَطايا فَضْلِهِ.

     ya kafy almuwsi`u lima khalaqa min `ataya fadlihi.

     O the Self-Sufficient, the Bestower upon His creatures with the gifts of His favors.

277. يا نَقِيُّ مِنْ كُلِّ جَوْرٍ لَمْ يَرْضَهُ وَلَمْ يُخالِطْهُ فِعالَهُ،

     ya naqiyyu min kulli jawrin lam yardahu walam yukhalithu fi`alahu,

     O the Pufiried against any injustice that He does not accept and that is not found in His deeds.

278. يا حَنّانُ أنْتَ الَّذي وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ رَحْمَتُهُ،

     ya hannanu anta alladhy wasi`at kulla shay‘in rahmatuhu,

     O the All-tender; it is You Whose mercy covers all things.

279. يا مَنّانُ ذا الإحْسانِ قَدْ عَمَّ الخَلائِقَ مِنْهُ،

     ya mannanu dha alihsani qad `amma alkhala’iqa minhu,

     O the All-favorer, the Lord of benevolence that He spreads over all the created beings.

280. يا دَيّانَ العِبادِ فَكُلٌّ يَقومُ خاضِعاً لِرَهْبَتِهِ.

     ya dayyana al`ibadi fakullun yaqumu khadi`an lirahbatihi.

     O the Master of the servants; everything stands in submission to the fear of Him.

281. يا خالِقَ مَنْ في السَّمواتِ وَالأرَضينَ فَكُلٌّ إلَيْهِ مَعادُهُ،

     ya khaliqa man fy alssamawati walaradina fakullun ilayhi ma`aduhu,

     O the Creator of all those in the heavens and the layers of the earth; everything shall be returned to Him.

282. يا رَحْمانُ وَراحِمَ كُلِّ صَريخٍ وَمَكْروبٍ وَغِياثَهُ وَمَعاذَهُ،

     ya rahmanu warahima kulli sarikhin wamakrubin waghiyathahu wama`adhahu,

     O the All-beneficent and the All-merciful to and the Aide and the Shelter of all seekers of aid and all aggrieved ones.

283. يا بارُّ فَلا تَصِفُ الألْسُنُ كُنْهَ جَلالِ مُلْكِهِ وَعِزِّهِ،

     ya barru fala tasifu alalsunu kunha jalali mulkihi wa`izzihi,

     O the Upright; no language can ever describe the reality of the majesty of His kingdom and might.

284. وَيا مُبْدِئَ البَرايا لَمْ يَبْغِ في إنْشائِها أعْواناً مِنْ خَلقِهِ،

     waya mubd’ia albaraya lam yabghi fy insha’iha a`wanan min khalqihi,

     O the Originator of all the creation; in Your creation, You did not need assistants from among Your creatures.

285. يا عَلاَّمَ الغُيوبِ فلا يَؤوُدُهُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ حِفْظُهُ.

     ya `allama alghuyubi fla yau´uduhu min shay‘in hifzuhu.

     O the Knower of all the unseen; the preservation of all things does not tire You.

286. يا مُعيداً ما أفْناهُ إذا بَرَزَ الخَلائِقُ لِدَعْوَتِهِ مِنْ مَخافَتِهِ،

     ya mu`idan ma afnahu idha baraza alkhala’iqu lida`uatihi min makhafatihi,

     O He Who shall restore to life all that which He terminates when the creatures will be resurrected on account of His call out of fear of Him.

287. يا حَليمُ ذا الأناةِ فَلا شَيْءَ يَعْدِلُهُ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ،

     ya halimu dha alanaati fala shay‘a ya`diluhu min khalqihi,

     O the Forbearing, the Lord of leniency; nothing of Your creatures can ever match You.

288. يا مَحْمودَ الفِعالِ ذا الْمَنِّ عَلى جَميعِ خَلْقِهِ بِلُطْفِهِ،

     ya mahmuda alfi`ali dha almanni `alajami`i khalqihi bilutfihi,

     O He Whose deeds are praiseworthy, the Lord of favoring on all Your creatures out of Your kindness.

289. يا عَزيزُ الْمَنِيعُ الْغالِبُ عَلى أمْرِهِ فَلا شَيْءَ يَعْدِلُهُ،

     ya `azizu almani`u alghalibu `ala amrihi fala shay‘a ya`diluhu,

     O the Almighty, the Invulnerable, the Dominant over all affairs; nothing can ever be equivalent to You.

290. يا قاهِرُ ذا الْبَطْشِ الشَّديدِ أنْتَ الَّذي لا يُطاقُ انْتِقامُهُ.

     ya qahiru dha albatshi alshshadidi anta alladhy la yutaqu antiqamuhu.

     O the Overcomer, the owner of strong grip; it is You Whose punishment is intolerable.

291. يا مُتَعالي القَريبُ في عُلُوِّ ارْتِفاعِ دُنُوِّهِ،

     ya muta`aly alqaribu fy `uluwwi artifa`i dunuwwihi,

     O the All-exalted, the Nigh in the elevation of Your nearness;

292. يا جَبّارُ الْمُذَلِّلَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ بِقَهْرِ عَزيزِ سُلْطانِهِ،

     ya jabbaru almudhallila kulli shay‘in biqahri `azizi sultanihi,

     O the All-powerful, the humiliating all things by the prevalence of His almighty authority;

293. يا نورَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ أنْتَ الَّذي فَلَقَ الظُّلُماتِ نورُهُ،

     ya nura kulli shay‘in anta alladhy falaqa alzzulumati nuruhu,

     O the Light of all things; it is You Whose light split the darkness.

294. يا قُدّوسُ الطّاهِرُ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَلا شَيْءَ يَعْدِلُهُ،

     ya quddusu alttahiru min kulli shay‘in walashay‘a ya`diluhu,

     O the Holy, the Wholesome against all things and nothing can ever be His counterpart.

295. يا قَريبُ الْمُجيبُ الْمُتَداني دونَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قُرْبَهُ،

     ya qaribu almujibu almutadany duna kulli shay‘in qurbahu,

     O the Nigh; the Responding; and the Approaching very close that He has becomes the nearest of all things.

296. يا عالي الشّامِخُ في السَّماءِ فَوقَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ عُلُوُّ ارْتِفاعِهِ،

     ya `aly alshshamikhu fy alssama‘i fawqa kulli shay‘in `uluwwu artifa`ihi,

     O the Elevated; the Exalted in the heavens; whose highness has overtopped all things.

297. يا بَديعَ البَدائِعِ وَمُعيدَها بَعْدَ فَنائِها بِقُدْرَتِهِ.

     ya badi`a albada’i`i wamu`idaha ba`da fana’iha biqudratihi.

     O the Wonderful Maker of all wonderful things; and the Restorer of them by His power after they vanish;

298. يا جَليلُ الْمُتَكَبِّرُ عَلى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ،

     ya jalilu almutakabbiru `ala kulli shay‘in,

     O the Lofty; the All-great over all things.

299. فَالْعَدْلُ أمْرُهُ وَالصِّدْقُ وَعْدُهُ،

     fal`adlu amruhu walssidqu wa`duhu,

     Just are Your affairs, and truthful are Your promises.

300. يا مَجيدُ فَلا يَبْلُغُ الأوْهامُ كُلَّ ثَنائِهِ وَمَجْدِهِ،

     ya majidu fala yablughu al-awhamu kulla thana’ihi wamajdihi,

     O the Glorious; even delusions cannot attain all Your praise and glory.

301. يا كَريمَ الْعَفْوِ وَالْعَدْلِ،

     ya karima al`afui wal`adli,

     O the Noble in pardon and justice;

302. أنْتَ الَّذي مَلأَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ عَدْلُهُ،

     anta alladhy mala’a kulla shay‘in `adluhu,

     It is You Whose justice has filled in everywhere.

303. يا عَظِيمُ ذا الثَّناءِ الفاخِرِ وَالْعِزِّ وَالْكِبْرِياءِ فَلا يُذَلُّ عِزُّهُ،

     ya `azimu dha alththana‘i alfakhiri wal`izzi walkibriya‘i fala yudhallu `izzuhu,

     O the Great; the Lord of excellent praise, might, and magnitude; hence, Your might is never humbled.

304. يا عَجِيبُ لا تَنْطِقُ الألْسُنُ بِكُلِّ آلائِهِ وَثَنائِهِ.

     ya `ajibu la tantiqu alalsunu bikulli ala’ihi wathana’ihi.

     O the All-excellent; languages cannot express all Your bounties and praise.

305. أسْألُكَ يا مُعْتَمَدي عِنْدَ كُلِّ كُرْبَةٍ،

     asaluka ya mu`tamady `inda kulli kurbatin,

     I beseech You; O my Reliance at all griefs;

306. وَغِياثي عِنْدَ كُلِّ شِدَّةٍ،

     waghiyathy `inda kulli shiddatin,

     And my Aide at all hardships,

307. بِهذِهِ الأسْماءِ أماناً مِنْ عُقوباتِ الدُّنْيا وَالآخِرَةِ،

     bihdhihi alasma‘i amanan min `uqubati alddunia walakhirati,

     (I beseech You) by these names to grant me security against the punishments in this worldly life as well as the Next Life.

308. وَأسْألُكَ أنْ تَصْرِفَ عَنّي بِهِنَّ كُلَّ سوءٍ وَمَخوفٍ وَمَحْذورٍ،

     wasaluka an tasrifa `anny bihinna kulla su‘in wamakhufin wamahdhurin,

     And I beseech You to rebuff from me by these Names all things that are evil, feared, and jeopardized,

309. وَتَصْرِفَ عَنّي أبْصارَ الظَّلَمَةِ الْمُريدينَ بِيَ السّوءَ الَّذي نَهَيْتَ عَنْهُ

     watasrifa `anny absara alzzalamati almuridina biya alssu‘a alladhy nahayta `anhu

     And to rebuff from me the sights of the wrongdoers who intend evil to me—evil against which You have warned;

310. وَأنْ تَصْرِفَ قُلوبَهُمْ مِنْ شَرِّ ما يُضْمِرونَ إلى خَيْرِ ما لا يَمْلِكونَ،

     wan tasrifa qulubahum min sharri mayudmiruna ila khayri ma la yamlikuna,

     And to rebuff from me their hearts and change the evil that they conceal in themselves into the good that they do not have,

311. وَلا يَمْلِكُهُ غَيْرُكَ يا كَريمُ.

     wala yamlikuhu ghayruka ya karimu.

     And none else has it save You, O the All-generous.

312. اللّهُمَّ لا تَكِلْني إلى نَفْسي فَأعْجَزُ عَنْها،

     allahumma la takilny ila nafsy fa`jazu `anha,

     O Allah: (please) do not refer me to myself, because I will fail to manage it,

313. وَلا إلى النّاسِ فَيَرْفُضوني،

     wala ila alnnasi fayarfuduni,

     Or to the people, because they will reject me.

314. وَلا تُخَيِّبْني وَأنا أرْجوكَ

     wala tukhayyibny wana arjuka

     And do not disappoint me while I am pleasing You,

315. وَلا تُعَذِّبْني وَأنا أدْعُوكَ،

     wala tu`adhdhibny wana ad`uwka,

     And do not torture me while I am praying You.

316. اللّهُمَّ إنّي أدْعُوكَ كَما أمَرْتَني،

     allahumma inny ad`uwka kama amartani,

     O Allah: I am praying You as You ordered me to do,

317. فَأجِبْنِي كَما وَعَدْتَني،

     fajibniy kama wa`adtani,

     So, (please) answer me as You promised me to do.

318. اللّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ خَيْرَ عُمْري ما وَلِيَ أجَلي.

     allahumma ij`al khayra `umry ma waliya ajali.

     O Allah: (please) make the best of my lifetime be that which is near to my death.

319. اللّهُمَّ لا تُغَيِّرْ جَسِدي،

     allahumma la tughayyir jasidi,

     O Allah: (please) do not change my body,

320. وَلا تُرْسِلْ حَظّي،

     wala tursil hazzi,

     And do not stop adding to my shares (from Your favors)

321. وَلا تَسُؤ صَديقي،

     wala tasu´ sadiqi,

     And do not cause harm to my friend.

322. أعوذُ بِكَ مِنْ سَقَمٍ مُصْرِعٍ،

     a`udhu bika min saqamin musri`in,

     I seek Your protection against deadly diseases,

323. وَفَقْرٍ مُقْرِعٍ،

     wafaqrin muqri`in,

     And against harsh poverty,

324. وَمِنَ الذُّلِّ وَبِئْسَ الْخِلِّ،

     wamina aldhdhulli wab’isa alkhilli,

     And against humiliation and bad company.

325. اللّهُمَّ سَلِّ قَلْبي عَنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ لا أتَزَوَّدُهُ إلَيْكَ،

     allahumma salli qalby `an kulli shay‘in laatazawwaduhu ilayka,

     O Allah: (please) entertain my heart against all things that cannot act as my provision to You,

326. وَلا أنْتَفِعُ بِهِ يَوْمَ ألْقاكَ،

     wala antafi`u bihi yawma alqaka,

     And that cannot avail me on the day when I will meet You,

327. مِنْ حَلالٍ أوْ حَرامٍ،

     min halalin aw haramin,

     Be it legal or illegal,

328. ثُمَّ أعْطِني قُوَّةً عَلَيْهِ وَعِزّاً وَقَناعَةً وَمَقْتاً لَهُ وَرِضاكَ فِيهِ،

     thumma a`tiny quwwatan `alayhi wa`izzan waqana`atan wamaqtan lahu waridaka fihi,

     And then (please) grant me power over it as well as mighty, contentment, revulsion of it, and Your satisfaction with it.

329. يا أرْحَمَ الرّاحِمينَ.

     ya arhama alrrahimina.

     O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy;

330. اللّهُمَّ لكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلى عَطاياكَ الْجَزيلَةِ،

     allahumma lka alhamdu `ala `atayaka aljazilati,

     O Allah: all praise be to You for Your abundant gifts.

331. وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلى مِنَنِكَ الْمُتَواتِرَةِ

     walaka alhamdu `ala minanika almutawatirati

     And all praise be to you for Your uninterrupted favors,

332. الَّتي بِها دافَعْتَ عَنّي مَكارِهَ الأُمورِ،

     allaty biha dafa`ta `anny makariha alaumuri,

     By which You have saved me from adverse matters,

333. وَبِها آتَيْتَني مَواهِبَ السُّرورِ،

     wabiha ataytany mawahiba alssururi,

     And through which You have bestowed upon me with the donations of pleasure,

334. مَعَ تَماديِّ في الغَفْلَةِ،

     ma`a tamadiyyi fy alghaflati,

     Although I persisted in carelessness,

335. وَما بَقِيَ فِيَّ مِنَ الْقَسْوَةِ،

     wama baqiya fiyya mina alqasuati,

     And I kept some hardheartedness;

336. فَلَمْ يَمْنَعْكَ ذلِكَ مِنْ فِعْلي أنْ عَفَوْتَ عَنّي،

     falam yamna`ka dhlika min fi`ly an `afawta `anni,

     Nevertheless, all such deeds of mine did not stop You from pardoning me,

337. وَسَتَرْتَ ذلِكَ عَلَيَّ

     wasatarta dhlika `alayya

     And covering that,

338. وَسَوَّغْتَني ما في يَدي مِنْ نِعَمِكَ،

     wasawwaghtany ma fy yady min ni`amika,

     And allowing me to dispose with Your bounties that are at my hand,

339. وَتابَعْتَ عَلَيَّ مِنْ إحْسانِكَ،

     wataba`ta `alayya min ihsanika,

     And continuing in doing good to me,

340. وَصَفَحْتَ لي عَنْ قَبيحِ ما أفْضَيْتَ بِهِ إلَيْكَ،

     wasafahta ly `an qabihi ma afdayta bihi ilayka,

     And overlooking the ill deeds of which I confessed to You,

341. وَانْتَهَكْتَهُ مِنْ مَعاصيكَ.

     wantahaktahu min ma`asika.

     And my violations of doing acts of disobedience to You.

342. اللّهُمَّ إنّي أسْألُكَ بِكُلِّ اسْمٍ هُوَ لَكَ

     allahumma inny asaluka bikulli asmin huwa laka

     O Allah: I beseech You by every Name that is Yours,

343. يَحِقُّ عَلَيْكَ فيهِ إجابَةَ الدُّعاءِ إذا دُعيتَ بِهِ،

     yahiqqu `alayka fihi ijabata alddu`a‘i idhadu`ita bihi,

     And due to which it becomes incumbent upon You to respond to those who pray You by it,

344. وَأسْألُكَ بِكُلِّ ذي حَقٍّ عَلَيْكَ،

     wasaluka bikulli dhy haqqin `alayka,

     And I beseech You in the name of all those who enjoy a right with You

345. وَبِحَقِّكَ عَلى جَمِيعِ مَنْ هُوَ دُونَكَ،

     wabihaqqika `ala jami`i man huwa dunaka,

     And in the name of Your duties that are incumbent upon all those who are less than You are,

346. أنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ وَرَسُولِكَ وَعَلى آلِهِ،

     an tusalliya `ala muhammadin `abdika warasuwlika wa`ala alihi,

     (I beseech You) to send blessings upon Muhammad, Your servant and Your Messenger, and upon his Household;

347. وَمَنْ أرادَني بِسوءٍ فَخُذْ بِسَمْعِهِ وَبَصَرِهِ

     waman aradany bisu‘in fakhudh bisam`ihi wabasarihi

     And as for anyone who intends evil to me, (please) have control on his hearing and sight

348. وَمِنْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِِهِ

     wamin bayna yadayhi wamin khalf’ihi

     And before him and behind him

349. وَعَنْ يَمينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمالِهِ

     wa`an yaminihi wa`an shimalihi

     And from his right side and from his left side,

350. وَامْنَعْهُ مِنّي بِحَوْلِكَ وَقُوَّتِكَ.

     wamna`hu minny bihawlika waquwwatika.

     And (please) prevent him from harming me through Your might and Your power.

351. يا مَنْ لَيْسَ مَعَهُ رَبٌّ يُدْعى،

     ya man laysa ma`ahu rabbun yud`a,

     O He with Whom there is no other lord to be prayed;

352. وَيا مَنْ لَيْسَ فَوْقَهُ خالِقٌ يُخْشى،

     waya man laysa fawqahu khaliqun yukhsha,

     O He above Whom there is no other creator to be feared;

353. وَيا مَنْ لَيْسَ دونَهُ إلَهٌ يُتَّقى

     waya man laysa dunahu ilahun yuttaqa

     O He other than Whom there is no god to be feared;

354. وَيا مَنْ لَيْسَ لَهُ وَزيرٌ يُؤْتى،

     waya man laysa lahu wazirun yuu´ta,

     O He Who has no assistant that may be seen first;

355. وَيا مَنْ لَيْسَ لَهُ حاجِبٌ يُرْشى،

     waya man laysa lahu hajibun yursha,

     O He Who has no janitor that may be bribed;

356. وَيا مَنْ لَيْسَ لَهُ بَوّابٌ يُنادى،

     waya man laysa lahu bawwabun yunada,

     O He Who has no doorkeeper that may be called;

357. وَيا مَنْ لا يَزْدادُ عَلى كَثْرَةِ العَطاءِ إلاَّ كَرَماً وَجُوداً،

     waya man la yazdadu `ala kathrati al`ata‘i illa karaman wajuwdan,

     O He Whose abundant gifting increases him nothing but more generosity and more magnanimity;

358. وَعَلى تَتابُعِ الذُّنوبِ إلاَّ مَغْفِرَةً وَعَفْواً،

     wa`ala tatabu`i aldhdhunubi illamaghfiratan wa`afuan,

     And the flow of sinning (of His servants) increases him nothing but forgiveness and pardon.

359. صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

     salli `ala muhammadin wali muhammadin

     (please) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

360. وَافْعَلْ بي ما أنْتَ أهْلُهُ،

     waf`al by ma anta ahluhu,

     And do to me that which befits You,

361. وَلا تَفْعَلْ بي ما أنا أهْلُهُ،

     wala taf`al by ma ana ahluhu,

     And do not do to me that which I deserve,

362. فَإنَّك أهْلُ التَّقْوى وَأهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ.

     Fa’innak ahlu alttaqwa wa-ahlu almaghfirati.

     For You are the worthiest of being feared and the worthiest of forgiving.

363. إِلٰهِي لاَ تُؤَدِّبْنِي بِعُقُوبَتِكَ

     ilahi la tu'addibni bi`uqubatika

     O Allah, do not discipline me by means of Your punishment

364. وَلاَ تَمْكُرْ بِي فِي حِيلَتِكَ

     wa la tamkur bi fi hilatika

     and do not subject me to Your planned strategy.

365. مِنْ أَيْنَ لِيَ ٱلْخَيْرُ يَا رَبِّ

     min ayna liya alkhayru ya rabbi

     How can I attain welfare, O Lord,

366. وَلاَ يُوجَدُ إِلاَّ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ

     wa la yujadu illa min `indika

     while it is not found elsewhere save with You?

367. وَمِنْ أَيْنَ لِيَ ٱلنَّجَاةُ

     wa min ayna liya alnnajatu

     How can I find redemption

368. وَلاَ تُسْتَطَاعُ إِلاَّ بِكَ

     wa la tustata`u illa bika

     while it cannot be attained save through You?

369. لاَ ٱلَّذِي أَحْسَنَ ٱسْتَغْنَىٰ عَنْ عَوْنِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ

     la alladhi ahsana istaghna `an `awnika wa rahmatika

     Neither he who has done righteous deeds can dispense with Your aid and mercy

370. وَلاَ ٱلَّذِي أَسَاءَ وَٱجْتَرَأَ عَلَيْكَ

     wa la alladhi asa'a wa ijtara'a `alayka wa lam yurdika

     nor can he who did evildoings, dare to challenge you,

371. وَلَمْ يُرْضِكَ خَرَجَ عَنْ قُدْرَتِكَ

     kharaja `an qudratika

     and did not arrive at Your pleasure find an exit out of Your power.

373. يَا رَبِّ …

     ya rabbi

     O Lord…

375. بِكَ عَرَفْتُكَ

     bika `arabftuka

     Through You have I known You.

376. وَأَنْتَ دَلَلْتَنِي عَلَيْكَ

     wa anta dalaltani `alayka

     You showed me the way to You

377. وَدَعَوْتَنِي إِلَيْكَ

     wa da`awtani ilakya

     and invited me to come towards You.

378. وَلَوْلا أَنْتَ لَمْ أَدْرِ مَا أَنْتَ

     wa lawla anta lam adri ma anta

     Had it been not for You, I would have never known who You are.

379. الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي أَدْعُوهُ فَيُجِيبُنِي

     alhamdu lillahi alladhi ad`uhu fayujibuni

     All praise be to Allah alone Who gives answer to me whenever I pray Him

380. وَإِنْ كُنْتُ بَطِيئاً حِينَ يَدْعُونِي

     wa in kuntu bati'an hina yad`uni

     although I am slow whenever He invites me.

381. وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي أَسْأَلُهُ فَيُعْطِينِي

     walhamdu lillahi alladhi as'aluhu fayu`tini

     All praise be to Allah alone Who gives me whenever I ask Him

382. وَإِنْ كُنْتُ بَخِيلاً حِينَ يَسْتَقْرِضُنِي

     wa in kuntu bakhilan hina yastaqriduni

     although I become close-fisted when He asks me.

383. وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي أُنَادِيهِ كُلَّمَا شِئْتُ لِحَاجَتِي

     walhamdu lillahi alladhi unadihi kullama shi'tu lihajati

     All praise be to Allah alone Whom I call whenever I need something

384. وَأَخْلُو بِهِ حَيْثُ شِئْتُ لِسِرِّي بِغَيْرِ شَفِيعٍ

     wa akhlu bihi haythu shi'tu lisirri bighayri shafi`in

     and Whom I secretly converse whenever I want without need for an intercessor;

385. فَيَقْضِي لِي حَاجَتِي

     fayaqdi li hajati

     He thus grants my need.

386. الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي لاَ أَدْعُو غَيْرَهُ

     alhamdu lillahi alladhi la ad`u ghayrahu

     All praise be to Allah alone other than Whom I never pray,

387. وَلَوْ دَعَوْتُ غَيْرَهُ لَمْ يَسْتَجِبْ لِي دُعَائِي

     wa law da`awtu ghayrahu lam yastajib li du`a'i

     and even if I pray anyone else, he shall never be able to respond to my prayer.

388. وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي لاَ أَرْجُو غَيْرَهُ

     walhamdu lillahi alladhi la arju ghayrahu

     All praise be to Allah alone for other than Whom I do not hope,

389. وَلَوْ رَجَوْتُ غَيْرَهُ َلأَخْلَفَ رَجَائِي

     wa law rajawtu ghayrahu la'akhlafa raja'i

     and even if I hope for anyone else, he shall certainly disappoint me.

390. وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي وَكَلَنِي إِلَيْهِ فَأَكْرَمَنِي

     walhamdu lillahi alladhi wakalani ilayhi fa akramani

     All praise be to Allah alone Who has accepted me to depend upon Him and, thus, bestowed favors upon me.

391. وَلَمْ يَكِلْنِي إِلَىٰ ٱلنَّاسِ فَيُهِينُونِي

     wa lam yakilni ila alnnasi fayuhinuni

     He has not left me to people who will thus definitely humiliate me.

392. وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي تَحَبَّبَ إِلَيَّ

     walhamdu lillahi alladhi tahabbaba ilayya

     All praise be to Allah alone Who has sought my friendship

393. وَهُوَ غَنِيٌّ عَنِّي

     wa huwa ghaniyyun `anni

     while He can dispense with me.

394. وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي يَحْلُمُ عَنِّي

     walhamdu lillahi alladhi yahlumu `anni

     All praise be to Allah alone Who showed Himself gentle and considerate towards me

395. حَتَّىٰ كَأَنِّي لاَ ذَنْبَ لِي

     hatta ka'anni la dhanba li

     as if I have not sinned.

396. فَرَبِّي أَحْمَدُ شَيْءٍ عِنْدِي

     fa rabbi ahmadu shay'in `indi

     Accordingly, my Lord is the only One Whom I should thank

397. وَأَحَقُّ بِحَمْدِي

     wa ahaqqu bihamdi

     and He is the worthiest of being thanked by me.

398. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَجِدُ سُبُلَ ٱلْمَطَالِبِ إِلَيْكَ مُشْرَعَةً

     allahumma inni ajidu subula almatalibi ilayka mushra`atan

     O Allah, I find the courses to asking from You wide open,

399. وَمَنَاهِلَ ٱلرَّجَاءِ لَدَيْكَ مُتْرَعَةً

     wa manahila alrraja'i ladayka mutra`atan

     the springs to hoping for You overflowing,

400. وَٱلاِسْتِعَانَةَ بِفَضْلِكَ لِمَنْ أَمَّلَكَ مُبَاحَةً

     walisti`anata bifadlika liman ammalaka mubahatan

     seeking the help of Your favors reachable for them who have hopefully looked forward to You,

401. وَأَبْوَابَ ٱلدُّعَاءِ إِلَيْكَ لِلصَّارِخِينَ مَفْتُوحَةً

     wa abwaba alddu`a'i ilayka lilssarikhina maftuhatan

     and the doors of praying You vulnerable for them who cry to You.

402. وَأَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ لِلرَّاجِين بِمَوْضِعِ إِجَابَةٍ

     wa a`lamu annaka lilrrajina bimawdi`i ijabatin

     I know for sure that You give favorable reply to the petitioners

403. وَلِلْمَلْهُوفِينَ بِمَرْصَدِ إِغَاثَةٍ

     wa lilmalhufina bimarsadi ighathatin

     and relentlessly succor the aggrieved;

404. وَأَنَّ فِي ٱللَّهْفِ إِلَىٰ جُودِكَ

     wa anna fi allahfi ila judika

     and to long for Your beneficence

405. وَٱلرِّضَا بِقَضَائِكَ

     wa alrrida biqada'ika

     and to accept Your will and judgment

406. عِوَضاً مِنْ مَنْعِ ٱلْبَاخِلِينَ

     `iwadan min man`i albakhilina

     are well compensations for that which the close-fisted misers deny

407. وَمَنْدُوحَةً عَمَّا فِي أَيْدِي ٱلْمُسْتَأْثِرِينَ

     wa manduhatan `amma fi aydi almusta'thirina

     and alternative to that which is possessed by the stingy.

408. وَأَنِّ ٱلرَّاحِـلَ إِلَيْكَ قَرِيبُ ٱلْمَسَافَةِ

     wa anna alrrahila ilayka qaribu almasafati

     He who travels towards You will easily reach his destination.

409. وَأَنَّكَ لاَ تَحْتَجِبُ عَنْ خَلْقِكَ

     wa annaka la tahtajibu `an khalqika

     You do not conceal Yourself against Your creatures

410. إِلاَّ أَنْ تَحْجُبَهُمُ ٱلأَعْمَالُ دُونَكَ

     illa an tahjibahum al-a`malu dunaka

     unless their evildoings stand between them and You.

411. وَقَدْ قَصَدْتُ إِلَيْكَ بِطَلِبَتِي

     wa qad qasadtu ilayka bitalibati

     I am thus turning to You carrying my appeals

412. وَتَوَجَّهْتُ إِلَيْكَ بِحَاجَتِي

     wa tawajjahtu ilayka bihajati

     and directing towards You carrying my needs.

413. وَجَعَلْتُ بِكَ ٱسْتِغَاثَتِي

     wa ja`altu bika istighathati

     I have sought the help of You alone

414. وَبِدُعَائِكَ تَوَسُّلِي

     wa bidu`a'ika tawassuli

     and begging You through my prayer

415. مِنْ غَيْرِ ٱسْتِحْقَاقٍ لاﹾِسْتِمَاعِكَ مِنِّي

     min ghayri istihqaqin listima`ika minni

     although I do not deserve to be observed by You

416. وَلاَ ٱسْتِيجَابٍ لِعَفْوِكَ عَنِّي

     wa la istijabin li`afwika `anni

     or to be pardoned by You.

417. بَلْ لِثِقَتِي بِكَرَمِكَ

     bal lithiqati bikaramika

     Rather, I have full confidence in Your generosity,

418. وَسُكُونِي إِلَىٰ صِدْقِ وَعْدِكَ

     wa sukuni ila sidqi wa`dika

     I have relied upon the truthfulness of Your promise,

419. وَلَجَائِي إِلَىٰ ٱلإِيـمَانِ بِتَوْحِيدِكَ

     wa laja'i ila al-imani bitawhidika

     I have sought shelter with my faith in Your Oneness

420. وَيَقِينِي بِمَعْرِفَتِكَ مِنِّي

     wa yaqini bima`rifatika minni

     and my certitude in the fact -which you know-

421. أَنْ لاَ رَبَّ لِي غَيْرُكَ

     an la rabba li ghayruka

     that I have no Lord other than You

422. وَلاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ

     wa la ilaha illa anta

     and there is no god save You

423. وَحْدَكَ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَكَ

     wahdaka la sharika laka

     alone, without having any partner.

424. اَللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ ٱلْقَائِلُ وَقَوْلُكَ حَقٌّ

     allahumma anta alqa'ilu wa qawluka haqqun

     O Allah, It is You Who have said, and Your sayings are always true

425. وَوَعْدُكَ صِدْقٌ:

     wa wa`duka sidqun

     and Your promise is always valid:

426. ”وَٱسْأَلُوٱ ٱللَّهَ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ

     was'alu alllaha min fadlihi

     “Ask Allah of His bounty.

427. إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ بکم رحیماً“

     inna allaha kana bikum rahiman

     Verily Allah is ever Merciful to you.”

428. وَلَيْسَ مِنْ صِفَاتِكَ يَا سَيِّدِي

     wa laysa min sifatika ya sayyidi

     It is not Your habit, O my Chief,

429. أَنْ تَأْمُرَ بِٱلسُّؤَالِ وَتَمْنَعَ ٱلْعَطِيَّةَ

     an ta'mura bissu'ali wa tamna`a al`atiyyata

     that You instruct us to implore You and then You stop giving us,

430. وَأَنْتَ ٱلْمَنَّانُ بِٱلْعَطِيَّاتِ عَلَىٰ أَهْلِ مَمْلَكَتِكَ

     wa anta almannanu bil`atiyyati `ala ahli mamlakatika

     while You are the All-benefactor Who confers upon the people of Your Kingdom with (innumerable) donations

431. وَٱلْعَائِدُ عَلَيْهِمْ بِتَحَنُّنِ رَأْفَتِكَ

     wal`a'idu `alayhim bitahannuni ra'fatika

     and You are the All-generous Who meets them with the kindness of Your compassion.

432. إِلٰهِي رَبَّيْتَنِي فِي نِعَمِكَ وَإِحْسَانِكَ صَغِيراً

     ilahi rabbaytani fi ni`amika wa ihsanika saghiran

     O my God, You brought me up amid Your bounties and favors when I was little

433. وَنَوَّهْتَ بِٱسْمِي كَبِيراً

     wa nawwahta bismi kabiran

     and You have mentioned me when I have grown up.

434. فَيَا مَنْ رَبَّانِي فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا بِإِحْسَانِهِ

     faya man rabbani fi alddunya bi'ihsanihi

     So, O He Who brought me up in this world with His bounties,

435. وَتَفَضُّلِهِ وَنِعَمِهِ

     wa tafaddulihi wa ni`amihi

     favors, and graces,

436. وَأَشَارَ لِي فِي ٱلآخِرَةِ إِلَىٰ عَفْوِهِ وَكَرَمِهِ

     wa ashara li fi al-akhirati ila `afwihi wa karamihi

     and, in the Hereafter, will have referred to me with His amnesty and generosity!

437. مَعْرِفَتِي يَا مَوْلاَيَ دَلِيلِي عَلَيْكَ

     ma`rifati ya mawlaya dalili `alayka

     My acquaintance with You, O my Lord, is the path taking me to You

438. وَحُبِّي لَكَ شَفِيعِي إِلَيْكَ

     wa hubbi laka shafi`i ilayka

     and my love for You is the intermediary between You and me.

439. وَأَنَا وَاثِقٌ مِنْ دَلِيلِي بِدَلاَلَتِكَ

     wa ana wathiqun min dalili bidalalatika

     I am sure of the path to which You have lead me

440. وَسَاكِنٌ مِنْ شَفِيعِي إِلَىٰ شَفَاعَتِكَ

     wa sakinun min shafi`i ila shafa`atika

     and I rely upon my intermediary’s success before You.

441. أَدْعُوكَ يَا سَيِّدِي بِلِسَانٍ قَدْ أَخْرَسَهُ ذَنْبُهُ

     ad`uka ya sayyidi bilisanin qad akhrasahu dhanbuhu

     I pray You, O my Chief, with a tongue muted by its sins.

442. رَبِّ أُنَاجِيكَ بِقَلْبٍ قَدْ أَوْبَقَهُ جُرْمُهُ

     rabbi unajika biqalbin qad awbaqahu jurmuhu

     O Lord! I confidentially speak to You with a heart degraded by its offenses.

443. أَدْعُوكَ يَا رَبِّ رَاهِباً رَاغِباً

     ad`uka ya rabbi rahiban raghiban

     I pray You, O Lord, with terror, desire,

444. رَاجِياً خَائِفاً

     rajiyan kha'ifan

     hope, and fear.

445. إِذَا رَأَيْتُ مَوْلاَيَ ذُنُوبِي فَزِعْتُ

     idha ra'aytu mawlaya dhunubi fazi`tu

     Whenever I think of my sins, O my Master, I panic,

446. وَإِذَا رَأَيْتُ كَرَمَكَ طَمِعْتُ

     wa idha ra'aytu karamaka tami`tu

     but when I think of Your generosity, I feel desirous (for Your pardon).

447. فَإِنْ عَفَوْتَ فَخَيْرُ رَاحِمٍ

     fa'in `afawta fakhayru rahimin

     Therefore, if You forgive me, You are already the best of those who show mercy,

448. وَإِنْ عَذَّبْتَ فَغَيْرُ ظَالِمٍ

     wa'in `adhdhabta faghayru zalimin

     and If You punish me, You are then not wronging me.

449. حُجَّتِي يَا اللَّهُ فِي جُرْأَتِي عَلَىٰ مَسْأَلَتِكَ

     hujjati ya allahu fi jur'ati `ala mas'alatika

     Yet, it is Your munificence and Your generosity, O Allah, that gave me the courage to pray You,

450. مَعَ إِتْيَانِي مَا تَكْرَهُ جُودُكَ وَكَرَمُكَ

     ma`a ityani ma takrahu juduka wa karamuka

     despite that I have committed things that You dislike.

451. وَعُدَّتِي فِي شِدَّتِي مَعَ قِلَّةِ حَيَائِي رَأْفَتُكَ وَرَحْمَتُكَ

     wa `uddati fi shiddati ma`a qillati haya'i ra'fatuka wa rahmatuka

     It is Your kindness and mercy that I use as my means during misfortunes inflicting me despite my shamelessness.

452. وَقَدْ رَجَوْتُ أَنْ لاَ تَخِيبَ بَيْنَ ذَيْنِ وَذَيْنِ مُنْيَتِي

     wa qad rajawtu an la takhiba bayna dhayni wa dhayni munyati

     I thus hope that my expectation will not be disappointed amid these two matters.

453. فَحَقِّقْ رَجَائِي

     fahaqqiq raja'i

     So, make my hopes become real

454. وَٱسْمَعْ دُعَائِي

     wasma` du`a'i

     and answer my prayers.

455. يَا خَيْرَ مَنْ دَعَاهُ دَاعٍ

     ya khayra man da`ahu da`in

     O Greatest Besought One that has been ever besought,

456. وَأَفْضَلَ مَنْ رَجَاهُ رَاجٍ

     wa afdala man rajahu rajin

     and the Most Favorable Hoped One!

457. عَظُمَ يَا سَيِّدِي أَمَلِي وَسَاءَ عَمَلِي

     `azuma ya sayyidi amali wa sa'a `amali

     My expectation, O my Chief, has been great but my deed has been bad.

458. فَأَعْطِنِي مِنْ عَفْوِكَ بِمِقْدَارِ أَمَلِي

     fa'a`tini min `afwika bimiqdari amali

     So, grant me Your pardon as much as my expectation,

459. وَلاَ تُؤَاخِذْنِي بِأَسْوَءِ عَمَلِي

     wa la tu'akhidhni bi'aswa'i `amali

     and do not punish me for the worst of my deed.

460. فَإِنَّ كَرَمَكَ يَجِلُّ عَنْ مُجَازَاةِ ٱلْمُذْنِبِينَ

     fa'inna karamaka yajillu `an mujazati almudhnibina

     Verily, Your generosity is too great to be compared to the penalty of the guilty,

461. وَحِلْمَكَ يَكْبُرُ عَنْ مُكَافَأَةِ ٱلْمُقَصِّرِينَ

     wa hilmaka yakburu `an mukafa'ati almuqassirina

     and Your tolerance is too immense to be compared to the punishment of the negligent.

462. وَأَنَا يَا سَيِّدِي عَائِذٌ بِفَضْلِكَ

     wa ana ya sayyidi `a'idhun bifadlika

     I, O my Chief, am seeking refuge with Your benevolence,

463. هَارِبٌ مِنْكَ إِلَيْكَ

     haribun minka ilayka

     fleeing from You towards You,

464. مُتَنَجِّزٌ مَا وَعَدْتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّفْحِ عَمَّنْ أَحْسَنَ بِكَ ظَنّاً

     mutanajjizun ma wa`adta min alssafhi `amman ahsana bika zannan

     hoping for the amnesty that You have promised to confer upon one who keeps good idea about You.

465. وَمَا أَنَا يَا رَبِّ وَمَا خَطَرِي

     wa ma ana ya rabbi wa ma khatari

     What am I? O Lord! What importance do I have?

466. هَبْنِي بِفَضْلِكَ

     habni bifadlika

     Do me a favor out of Your benevolence

467. وَتَصَدَّقْ عَلَيَّ بِعَفْوِكَ

     wa tasaddaq `alayya bi`afwika

     and be charitable to me by means of pardoning me.

468. أَيْ رَبِّ جَلِّلْنِي بِسِتْرِكَ

     ay rabbi jallilni bisitrika

     O my Lord! Cover me with Your protective covering

469. وَٱعْفُ عَنْ تَوْبِيخِي بِكَرَمِ وَجْهِكَ

     wa`fu `an tawbikhi bikarami wajhika

     and overlook reproaching me out of the generosity of Your Face.

470. فَلَوِ ٱطَّلَعَ ٱلْيَوْمَ عَلَىٰ ذَنْبِي غَيْرُكَ مَا فَعَلْتُهُ

     falaw ittala`a alyawma `ala dhanbi ghayruka ma fa`altuhu

     In fact, if anyone other than You has watched me while committing these sins, I may not commit them.

471. وَلَوْ خِفْتُ تَعْجِيلَ ٱلْعُقُوبَةِ لاﹾجْتَنَبْتُهُ

     wa law khiftu ta`jila al`uqubati lajtanabtuhu

     Had I anticipated immediateness of punishment, I might have avoided doing them.

472. لاَ لأَنَّكَ أَهْوَنُ ٱلنَّاظِرِينَ إِلَيَّ

     la li'annaka ahwanu alnnazirina ilayya

     Yet, this does not mean that You are the least important of those who watch over me

473. وَأَخَفُّ ٱلْمُطَّلِعِينَ عَلَيَّ

     wa akhaffu almuttali`ina `alayya

     or You are the least weighty of those who observe me.

474. بَلْ لأَنَّكَ يَا رَبِّ خَيْرُ ٱلسَّاتِرِينَ

     bal li'annaka ya rabbi khayru alssatirina

     Rather, this is because You, O my Lord, are the best of those who cover up (one’s defects),

475. وَأَحْكَمُ ٱلْحَاكِمِينَ

     wa ahkamu alhakimina

     the wisest of those who judge,

476. وَأَكْرَمُ ٱلأَكْرَمِينَ

     wa akramu al-akramina

     the most generous of those who act generously,

477. سَتَّارُ ٱلْعُيُوبِ

     sattaru al`uyubi

     the concealer of defects,

478. غَفَّارُ ٱلذُّنُوبِ

     ghaffaru aldhdhunubi

     the Forgiver of sins,

479. عَلاَّمُ ٱلْغُيُوبِ

     `allamu alghuyubi

     and the Knower of the unseen.

480. تَسْتُرُ ٱلذَّنْبَ بِكَرَمِكَ

     tasturu aldhdhanba bikaramika

     You conceal the defects out of Your liberality

481. وَتُؤَخِّرُ ٱلْعُقُوبَةَ بِحِلْمِكَ

     wa tu'akhkhiru al`uqubata bihilmika

     and put off punishment because of Your forbearance.

482. فَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ عَلَىٰ حِلْمِكَ بَعْدَ عِلْمِكَ

     falaka alhamdu `ala hilmika ba`da `ilmika

     Hence, all praise be to You, for You act tolerably although You have full knowledge

483. وَعَلَىٰ عَفْوِكَ بَعْدَ قُدْرَتِكَ

     wa `ala `afwika ba`da qudratika

     and for Your pardon even though You have the absolute authority.

484. وَيَحْمِلُنِي وَيُجَرِّئُنِي عَلَىٰ مَعْصِيَتِكَ حِلْمُكَ عَنِّي

     wa yahmiluni wa yujarri'uni `ala ma`siyatika hilmuka `anni

     It is Your forbearance with me that gives me latitude and makes me dare to break Your laws.

485. وَيَدْعُونِي إِلَىٰ قِلَّةِ ٱلْحَيَاءِ سِتْرُكَ عَلَيَّ

     wa yad`uni ila qillati alhaya'i sitruka `alayya

     It is Your concealing my faults that makes me act shamelessly before You.

486. وَيُسْرِعُنِي إِلَىٰ ٱلتَوَثُّبِ عَلَىٰ مَحَارِمِكَ مَعْرِفَتِي بِسَعَةِ رَحْمَتِكَ وَعَظِيمِ عَفْوِكَ

     wa yusri`uni ila alttawaththubi `ala maharimika ma`rifati bias`ati rahmatika wa `azimi `afwika

     It is my acquaintance with the broadness of Your mercy and the magnitude of Your pardon that make me hurry to violate that which You have deemed forbidden.

487. يَا حَلِيمُ يَا كَرِيمُ

     ya halimu ya karimu

     O Indulgent! O Compassionate!

488. يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ

     ya hayyu ya qayyumu

     O Ever-living! O Self-subsistent!

489. يَا غَافِرَ ٱلذَّنْبِ

     ya ghafira aldhdhanbi

     O Forgiver of sins!

490. يَا قَابِلَ ٱلتَّوْبِ

     ya qabila alttawbi

     O Accepter of repentance!

491. يَا عَظِيمَ ٱلْمَنِّ

     ya `azima almanni

     O Owner of matchless bounties!

492. يَا قَدِيمَ ٱلإِحْسَانِ

     ya qadima al-ihsani

     O He who has been doing favors since eternity!

493. أَيْنَ سِتْرُكَ ٱلْجَمِيلُ

     ayna sitruka aljamilu

     Where is Your magnificent concealment (of one’s faults)?

494. أَيْنَ عَفْوُكَ ٱلْجَلِيلُ

     ayna `afwuka aljalilu

     Where is Your irreversible pardon?

495. أَيْنَ فَرَجُكَ ٱلْقَرِيبُ

     ayna farajuka alqaribu

     Where is Your abrupt relief?

496. أَيْنَ غِيَاثُكَ ٱلسَّرِيعُ

     ayna ghiyathuka alssari`u

     Where is Your immediate aid?

497. أَيْنَ رَحْمَتُكَ ٱلْوَاسِعَةُ

     ayna rahmatuka alwasi`atu

     Where is Your boundless mercy?

498. أَيْنَ عَطَايَاكَ ٱلْفَاضِلَةُ

     ayna `atayaka alfadilatu

     Where is Your overflowing gifts?

499. أَيْنَ مَوَاهِبُكَ ٱلْهَنِيئَةُ

     ayna mawahibuka alhani'atu

     Where are Your pleasant endowments?

500. أَيْنَ صَنَائِعُكَ ٱلسَّنِيَّةُ

     ayna sana'i`uka alssaniyyatu

     Where are Your beautiful benefits?

501. أَيْنَ فَضْلُكَ ٱلْعَظِيمُ

     ayna fadluka al`azimu

     Where is Your outstanding grace?

502. أَيْنَ مَنُّكَ ٱلْجَسِيمُ

     ayna mannuka aljasimu

     Where are Your giant bounties?

503. أَيْنَ إِحْسَانُكَ ٱلْقَدِيمُ

     ayna ihsanuka alqadimu

     Where are Your eternal favors?

504. أَيْنَ كَرَمُكَ يَا كَرِيمُ

     ayna karamuka ya karimu

     Where is Your generous liberality? O Generous Giver!

505. بِهِ وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ فَٱسْتَنْقِذْنِي

     bihi wa bimuhammadin wa ali muhammadin fastanqidhni

     In Your name and in the name of Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, save me!

506. وَبِرَحْمَتِكَ فَخَلِّصْنِي

     wa birahmatika fakhallisni

     In the name of Your mercy, deliver me!

507. يَا مُحْسِنُ

     ya muhsinu

     O All-benevolent!

508. يَا مُجْمِلُ

     ya mujmilu

     O All-beneficent!

509. يَا مُنْعِمُ يَا مُفْضِلُ

     ya mun`imu ya mufdilu

     O All-gracious! O All-compassionate!

510. لَسْتُ أَتَّكِلُ فِي ٱلنَّجَاةِ مِنْ عِقَابِكَ عَلَىٰ أَعْمَالِنَا

     lastu attakilu fi alnnajati min `iqabika `ala a`malina

     In my salvation from Your punishment, I do not rely upon my deeds;

511. بَلْ بِفَضْلِكَ عَلَيْنَا

     bal bifadlika `alayna

     rather, I depend on Your liberal generosity to us,

512. لأَنَّكَ أَهْلُ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ وَأَهْلُ ٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ

     li'annaka ahlu alttaqwa wa ahlu almaghfirati

     because You are verily the Lord of righteousness and the Lord of forgiveness.

513. تُبْدِئُ بِٱلإِحْسَانِ نِعَماً

     tubdi'u bil-ihsani ni`aman

     You take the initiative in doing good out of Your graciousness

514. وَتَعْفُو عَنِ ٱلذَّنْبِ كَرَماً

     wa ta`fu `an aldhdhanbi karaman

     and overlook the sins out of Your generosity.

515. فَمَا نَدْرِي مَا نَشْكُرُ

     fama nadri ma nashkuru

     We thus do not know which of Your graces we should thank:

516. أَجَمِيلَ مَا تَنْشُرُ أَمْ قَبِيحَ مَا تَسْتُرُ

     ajamila ma tanshuru am qabiha ma tasturu

     should it be the handsome elegance that you spread over us, or our offensive deeds that you conceal?

517. أَمْ عَظِيمَ مَا أَبْلَيْتَ وَأَوْلَيْتَ

     am `azima ma ablayta wa awlayta

     Or should it be the fabulous favor that You grant and present,

518. أَمْ كَثِيرَ مَا مِنْهُ نَجَّيْتَ وَعَافَيْتَ

     am kathira ma minhu najjayta wa `afayta

     or the numerous misfortunes from which You have saved and relieved?

519. يَا حَبِيبَ مَنْ تَحَبَّبَ إِلَيْكَ

     ya habiba man tahabbaba ilayka

     O Beloved of those who endear themselves to Him!

520. وَيَا قُرَّةَ عَيْنِ مَنْ لاَذَ بِكَ وَٱنْقَطَعَ إِلَيْكَ

     wa ya qurrata `ayni man ladha bika wa inqata`a ilayka

     O delight of the eyes of those who resort to Him and communicate Him incessantly!

521. أَنْتَ ٱلْمُحْسِنُ وَنَحْنُ ٱلْمُسِيئُونَ

     anta lmuhsinu wa nahnu almusi'una

     You are the All-benevolent and we are the malevolent.

522. فَتَجَاوَزْ يَا رَبِّ عَنْ قَبِيحِ مَا عِنْدَنَا بِجَمِيلِ مَا عِنْدَكَ

     fatajawaz ya rabbi `an qabihi ma `indana bijamili ma `indaka

     So, overlook, O Lord, the offensive that we hold by means of the good that You hold.

523. وَأَيُّ جَهْلٍ يَا رَبِّ لاَ يَسَعُهُ جُودُكَ

     wa ayyu jahlin ya rabbi la yasa`uhu juduka

     There is not definitely any foolishness that can be uncovered by Your liberality.

524. أَوْ أَيُّ زَمَانٍ أَطْوَلُ مِنْ أَنَاتِكَ

     aw ayyu zamanin atwalu min anatika

     There is no period that may be longer than Your tolerance.

525. وَمَا قَدْرُ أَعْمَالِنَا فِي جَنْبِ نِعَمِكَ

     wa ma qadaru a`malina fi janbi ni`amika

     What value remains for our deeds if compared to Your favors?

526. وَكَيْفَ نَسْتَكْثِرُ أَعْمَالاً نُقَابِلُ بِهَا كَرَمَكَ

     wa kayfa nastakthiru a`malan nuqabilu biha karamaka

     How can we ever deem much any deeds if compared to Your generosity?

527. بَلْ كَيْفَ يَضِيقُ عَلَىٰ ٱلْمُذْنِبِينَ مَا وَسِعَهُمْ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ

     bal kayfa yadiqu `ala almudhnibina ma wasi`ahum min rahmatika

     Moreover, how may Your broad mercy be narrow for the guilty?

528. يَا وَاسِعَ ٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ

     ya wasi`a almaghfirati

     O Extensive Forgiver!

529. يَا بَاسِطَ ٱلْيَدَيْنِ بِٱلرَّحْمَةِ

     ya basita alyadayni bilrrahmati

     O He Who extends both hands with mercy!

530. فَوَعِزَّتِكَ يَا سَيِّدِي

     fawa`izzatika ya sayyidi

     By Your Majesty I swear, O my Lord,

531. لَوْ نَهَرْتَنِي مَا بَرِحْتُ مِنْ بَابِكَ

     law nahartani ma barihtu min babika

     even if you chide me, I shall never leave Your Door

532. وَلاَ كَفَفْتُ عَنْ تَمَلُّقِكَ

     wa la kafaftu `an tamalluqika

     and I shall never stop flattering You!

533. لِمَا ٱنْتَهَىٰ إِلَيَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَعْرِفَةِ بِجُودِكَ وَكَرَمِكَ

     lima intaha ilayya min alma`rifati bijudika wa karamika

     This is because I have full acquaintance with Your (indescribable) generosity and bounty.

534. وَأَنْتَ ٱلْفَاعِلُ لِمَا تَشَاءُ

     wa anta alfa`ilu lima tasha'u

     Verily, You do whatever You will.

535. تُعَذِّبُ مَنْ تَشَاءُ بِمَا تَشَاءُ كَيْفَ تَشَاءُ

     tu`adhdhibu man tasha'u bima tasha'u kayfa tasha'u

     You punish whomsoever You want however You want by whatever means You want.

536. وَتَرْحَمُ مَنْ تَشَاءُ بِمَا تشَاءُ كَيْفَ تَشَاءُ

     wa tarhamu man tasha'u bima tasha'u kayfa tasha'u

     You have mercy upon whomsoever You want however You want by whatever means You want.

537. لاَ تُسْأَلُ عَنْ فِعْلِكَ

     la tus'alu `an fi`lika

     None is supposed to interrogate You for whatever You do,

538. وَلاَ تُنَازَعُ فِي مُلْكِكَ

     wa la tunaza`u fi mulkika

     non can ever contend with You about Your authority,

539. وَلاَ تُشَارَكُ فِي أَمْرِكَ

     wa la tusharaku fi amrika

     none can ever have a share in that which You hold,

540. وَلاَ تُضَادُّ فِي حُكْمِكَ

     wa la tudaddu fi hukmika

     none can ever object to Your decisions,

541. وَلاَ يَعْتَرِضُ عَلَيْكَ أَحَدٌ فِي تَدْبِيرِكَ

     wa la ya`taridu `alayka ahadun fi tadbirika

     and none can ever protest against that which You administer.

542. لَكَ ٱلْخَلْقُ وَٱلأَمْرُ

     laka alkhalqu wal-amru

     To You alone are creation and determination.

543. تَبَارَكَ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

     tabaraka allahu rabbu al`alamina

     Blessed be Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

544. يَا رَبِّ هٰذَا مَقَامُ مَنْ لاَذَ بِكَ

     ya rabbi hadha maqamu man ladha bika

     O my Lord, this is the manner of one who seeks Your shelter,

545. وَٱسْتَجَارَ بِكَرَمِكَ

     wastajara bikaramika

     resorts to Your liberality,

546. وَأَلِفَ إِحْسَانَكَ وَنِعَمَكَ

     wa alifa ihsanaka wa ni`amaka

     and has been accustomed to be included with Your benevolence and graciousness.

547. وَأَنْتَ ٱلْجَوَادُ ٱلَّذِي لاَ يَضِيقُ عَفْوُكَ

     wa anta aljawadu alladhi la yadiqu `afwuka

     You are certainly the All-munificent Whose amnesty never shrinks,

548. وَلاَ يَنْقُصُ فَضْلُكَ

     wa la yanqusu fadluka

     Whose favor never reduces,

549. وَلاَ تَقِلُّ رَحْمَتُكَ

     wa la taqillu rahmatuka

     and Whose mercy never diminishes.

550. وَقَدْ تَوَثَّقْنَا مِنْكَ بِٱلصَّفْحِ ٱلْقَدِيمِ

     wa qad tawaththaqna minka bilssafhi alqadimi

     We have full confidence in You on account of Your eternal habit of pardons,

551. وَٱلْفَضْلِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ وَٱلرَّحْمَةِ ٱلْوَاسِعَةِ

     walfadli al`azimi walrrahmati alwasi`ati

     boundless kindness, and limitless mercy.

552. أَفَتُرَاكَ يَا رَبِّ تُخْلِفُ ظُنُونَنَا أَوْ تُخَيِّبُ آمَالَنَا

     afaturaka ya rabbi tukhlifu zununana aw tukhayyibu amalana

     Is it ever expectable, O Lord, that You may disappoint us or may act on the contrary of our expectations?

553. كَلاَّ يَا كَرِيمُ فَلَيْسَ هٰذَا ظَنُّنَا بِكَ

     kalla ya karimu falaysa hadha zannuna bika

     No, never. O Compassionate! This is neither our idea about You

554. وَلاَ هٰذَا فِيكَ طَمَعُنَا

     wa la hadha fika tama`una

     nor our desire from You!

555. يَا رَبِّ إِنَّ لَنَا فِيكَ أَمَلاً طَوِيلاً كَثِيراً

     ya rabbi inna lana fika amalan tawilan kathiran

     O my Lord, verily we have hope, big and large, in You.

556. إِنَّ لَنَا فِيكَ رَجَاءً عَظِيماً

     inna lana fika raja'an `aziman

     Verily, we have great expectation in You.

557. عَصَيْنَاكَ وَنَحْنُ نَرْجُو أَنْ تَسْتُرَ عَلَيْنَا

     `asaynaka wa nahnu narju an tastura `alayna

     Albeit that we have disobeyed You, we still hope that You will cover our faults.

558. وَدَعَوْنَاكَ وَنَحْنُ نَرْجُو أَنْ تَسْتَجِيبَ لَنَا

     wa da`awnaka wa nahnu narju an tastajiba lana

     We have prayed You hoping that You will respond to us.

559. فَحَقِّقْ رَجَاءَنَا مَوْلانَا

     fahaqqiq raja'ana mawlana

     So, give success to our hopes, O our Lord!

560. فَقَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا نَسْتَوْجِبُ بِأَعْمَالِنَا

     faqad `alimna ma tastawjibu bi'a`malina

     We now know for sure what we deserve in exchange of our deeds.

561. وَلكِنْ عِلْمُكَ فِينَا وَعِلْمُنَا بِأَنَّكَ لاَ تَصْرِفُنَا عَنْكَ

     wa lakin `ilmuka fina wa `ilmuna bi'annaka la tasrifuna `anka

     Yet, Your knowledge about us and our knowledge that You shall never let us down

562. حَثَّنَا عَلَىٰ ٱلرَّغْبَةِ إِلَيْكَ

     haththana `ala alrraghbati ilayka

     have urged us to desire for You

563. وَإِنْ كُنَّا غَيْرَ مُسْتَوْجِبِينَ لِرَحْمَتِكَ

     wa in kunna ghayra mustawjibina lirahmatika

     even if we do not deserve Your mercy.

564. فَأَنْتَ أَهْلٌ أَنْ تَجُودَ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَىٰ ٱلْمُذْنِبِينَ بِفَضْلِ سَعَتِكَ

     fa'anta ahlun an tajuda `alayna wa `ala almudhnibina bifadli sa`atika

     However, You are the worthiest of conferring upon us and upon the guilty with the grace of Your broad benevolence.

565. فَٱمْنُنْ عَلَيْنَا بِمَا أَنْتَ أَهْلُهُ

     famnun `alayna bima anta ahluhu

     So, confer upon us with that of which You are worthy

566. وَجُدْ عَلَيْنَا فَإِنَّا مُحْتَاجُونَ إِلَىٰ نَيْلِكَ

     wa jud `alayna fa'inna muhtajuna ila naylika

     and act generously towards us, for we are in need for Your conferral.

567. يَا غَفَّارُ بِنُورِكَ ٱهْتَدَيْنَا

     ya ghaffaru binurika ihtadayna

     O Oft-Forgiving, in Your light have we found the right path,

568. وَبِفَضْلِكَ ٱسْتَغْنَيْنَا

     wa bifadlika istaghnayna

     due to Your favor have we dispensed with the others,

569. وَبِنِعْمَتِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا وَأَمْسَيْنَا

     wa bini`matika asbahna wa amsayna

     and Your grace have we experienced in morns and eves.

570. ذُنُوبُنَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ

     dhunubuna bayna yadayka

     Our sins are before You;

571. نَسْتَغْفِرُكَ ٱللَّهُمَّ مِنْهَا وَنَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ

     nastaghfiruka alllahumma minha wa natubu ilayka

     we beseech You, O Allah, to forgive them and we repent before You.

572. تَتَحَبَّبُ إِلَيْنَا بِٱلنِّعَمِ وَنُعَارِضُكَ بِٱلذُّنُوبِ

     tatahabbabu ilayna bilnni`ami wa nu`ariduka bildhdhunubi

     Whilst You show affection to us through Your graces, we take ourselves away from You through our sins.

573. خَيْرُكَ إِلَيْنَا نَازِلٌ

     khayruka nazilun ilayna

     You good descend upon us

574. وَشَرُّنَا إِلَيْكَ صَاعِدٌ

     wa sharruna ilayka sa`idun

     while our evildoing ascends to You.

575. وَلَمْ يَزَلْ وَلاَ يَزَالُ مَلَكٌ كَرِيمٌ يَأْتِيكَ عَنَّا بِعَمَلٍ قَبِيحٍ

     wa lam yazal wa la yazalu malakun karimun ya'tika `anna bi`amalin qabihin

     Albeit that a noble angel always carries to You our offensive deeds,

576. فَلاَ يَمْنَعُكَ ذٰلِكَ مِنْ أَنْ تَحُوطَنَا بِنِعَمِكَ

     fala yamna`unka dhalika min an tahutana bini`amika

     this has never made you stop encompassing us with Your graces

577. وتَتَفَضَّلَ عَلَيْنَا بِآلاَئِكَ

     wa tatafaddalu `alyna bi'ala'ika

     and conferring upon us your elegances.

578. فَسُبْحَانَكَ مَا أَحْلَمَكَ وَأَعْظَمَكَ

     fasubhanaka ma ahlamaka wa a`zamaka

     Glory be to You! How Forbearing, Magnificent,

579. وَأَكْرَمَكَ مُبْدِئاً وَمُعِيداً

     wa akramaka mubdi'an wa mu`idan

     and Generous You are at all times!

580. تَقَدَّسَتْ أَسْمَاؤُكَ

     taqaddasat asma'uka

     Sacred be Your Names.

581. وَجَلَّ ثَنَاؤُكَ

     wa jalla thana'uka

     Grand be Your praise.

582. وَكَرُمَ صَنَائِعُكَ وَفِعَالُكَ

     wa karuma sana'i`uka wa fi`aluka

     Munificent be Your deeds and acts.

583. أَنْتَ إِلٰهِي أَوْسَعُ فَضْلاً وَأَعْظَمُ حِلْماً

     anta ilahi awsa`u fadlan wa a`zamu hilman

     You, O my God, are too expansive in graciousness and too great in forbearance

584. مِنْ أَنْ تُقَايِسَنِي بِفِعْلِي وَخَطِيئَتِي

     min an tuqayisani bifi`li wa khati'ati

     to punish me for my evildoings and sins.

585. فَٱلْعَفْوَ ٱلْعَفْوَ ٱلْعَفْوَ

     fal`afwa al`afwa al`afwa

     (Here I am asking for) Amnesty! Amnesty! Amnesty!

586. سَيِّدِي سَيِّدِي سَيِّدِي

     sayyidi sayyidi sayyidi

     O my Lord! O my Lord! O my Lord!

587. اَللَّهُمَّ أَشْغَلْنَا بِذِكْرِكَ

     allahumma ashghilna bidhikrika

     O Allah, cause us to be engaged with mentioning You,

588. وَأَعِذْنَا مِنْ سَخَطِكَ

     wa a`idhna min sakhatika

     save us from Your wrath,

589. وَأَجِرْنَا مِنْ عَذَابِكَ

     wa ajirna min `adhabika

     deliver us from Your torture,

590. وَٱرْزُقْنَا مِنْ مَوَاهِبِكَ

     warzuqna min mawahibika

     grant us Your donations,

591. وَأَنْعِمْ عَلَيْنَا مِنْ فَضْلِكَ

     wa an`in `alayna min fadlika

     confer upon us with Your grace,

592. وَٱرْزُقْنَا حَجَّ بَيْتِكَ

     warzuqna hajja baytika

     and provide us the opportunity to go on pilgrimage to Your House

593. وَزِيَارَةَ قَبْرِ نَبِيِّكَ

     wa ziyarata qabri nabiyyika

     and to visit the tomb of Your Prophet,

594. صَلَوَاتُكَ وَرَحْمَتُكَ

     salawatuka wa rahmatuka

     may Your blessings, mercy,

595. وَمَغْفِرَتُكَ وَرِضْوَانُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ

     wa maghfiratuka wa ridwanuka `alayhi wa `ala ahli baytihi

     forgiveness, and pleasure be upon him and his Household.

596. إِنَّكَ قَرِيبٌ مُجِيبٌ

     innaka qaribun mujibun

     Verily, You are nigh and ready to answer.

597. وَٱرْزُقْنَا عَمَلاً بِطَاعَتِكَ

     warzuqna `amalan bita`atika

     Bless us with acting upon the obedience to You,

598. وَتَوَفَّنَا عَلَىٰ مِلَّتِكَ وَسُنَّةِ نَبِيِّكَ

     wa tawaffana `ala millatika wa sunnati nabiyyika

     and receive us following the rule of You and Your Prophet,

599. صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰ آلِهِ

     salla allahu `alayhi wa `ala alihi

     blessings of Allah be on him and on his Household.

600. اَللَّهُمَّ ٱغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ

     allahumma ighfir li wa liwalidayya

     O Allah, forgive me and my parents,

601. وَٱرْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيراً

     warhamhuma kama rabbayani saghiran

     and have mercy on them as they cared for me when I was little.

602. إِجْزِهِمَا بِٱلإِحْسَانِ إِحْسَاناً

     ijzihima bil-ihsani ihsanan

     Reward them generously for their good deeds

603. وَبِٱلسَّيِّئَاتِ غُفْرَاناً

     wa bilssayyi'ati ghufranan

     and forgive their sins.

604. اَللَّهُمَّ ٱغْفِرْ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَاتِ

     allahumma ighfir lilmu'minina walmu'minati

     O Allah, forgive the faithful men and women,

605. ٱلأَحْيَاءِ مِنْهُمْ وَٱلأَمْوَاتِ

     al-ahya'i minhum wal-amwati

     be they alive or dead,

606. وَتَابِعْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهُمْ بِٱلْخَيْرَاتِ

     wa tabi` baynana wa baynahum bilkhayrati

     and join us together in bliss and happiness.

607. اَللَّهُمَّ ٱغْفِرْ لِحَيِّنَا وَمَيِّتِنَا

     allahumma ighfir lihayyina wa mayyitina

     O Allah, forgive our living and dead persons,

608. وَشَاهِدِنَا وَغَائِبِنَا

     wa shahidina wa gha'ibina

     our present and absent ones,

609. ذَكَرِنَا وَأُنْثَانَا

     dhakarina wa unthana

     our male and female ones,

610. صَغِيرِنَا وَكَبِيرِنَا

     saghirina wa kabirina

     our infants and adults,

611. حُرِّنَا وَمَمْلُوكِنَا

     hurrina wa mamlukina

     and our free ones and slaves.

612. كَذَبَ ٱلْعَادِلُونَ بِٱللَّهِ

     kadhaba al`adiluna billahi

     Liars are those who ascribe rivals to Allah;

613. وَضَلُّوٱ ضَلاَلاً بَعِيداً

     wa dallu dalalan ba`idan

     they have wandered far astray

614. وَخَسِرُوٱ خُسْرَاناً مُبِيناً

     wa khasiru khusranan mubinan

     and they will have suffered a manifest loss.

615. اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

     allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

     O Allah, send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

616. وَٱخْتِمْ لِي بِخَيْرٍ

     wakhtim li bikhayrin

     seal my life with decency,

617. وَٱكْفِنِي مَا أَهَمَّنِي مِنْ أَمْرِ دُنْيَايَ وَآخِرَتِي

     wa ikfini ma ahammani min amri dunyaya wa akhirati

     help me overcome all that which aggrieves me in this world as well as the Hereafter,

618. وَلاَ تُسَلِّطْ عَلَيَّ مَنْ لاَ يَرْحَمُنِي

     wa la tusallit `alayya man la yarhamuni

     do not let him who does not have mercy upon me prevail on me,

619. وَٱجْعَلْ عَلَيَّ مِنْكَ وَاقِيَةً بَاقِيَةً

     waj`al `alayya minka waqiyatan baqiyatan

     always keep on me an everlasting, protective covering,

620. وَلاَ تَسْلُبْنِي صَالِحَ مَا أَنْعَمْتَ بِهِ عَلَيَّ

     wa la taslubni saliha ma an`amta bihi `alayya

     do not divest me of the well-mannered graces that You have conferred upon me,

621. وَٱرْزُقْنِي مِنْ فَضْلِكَ رِزْقاً وَاسِعاً حَلاَلاً طَيِّباً

     warzuqni min fadlika rizqan wasi`an halalan tayyiban

     and provide me, out of Your grace, with lawfully gotten, delightful sustenance.

622. اَللَّهُمَّ ٱحْرُسْنِي بِحَرَاسَتِكَ

     allahumma ihrusni biharasatika

     O Allah, keep me under Your alert surveillance,

623. وَٱحْفَظْنِي بِحِفْظِكَ

     wa ihfazni bihifzika

     protect me with Your support,

624. وَٱكْلَأْنِي بِكَلاَءَتِكَ

     wa ikla'ni bikala'atika

     take care of me with Your comprehensive care,

625. وَٱرْزُقْنِي حَجَّ بَيْتِكَ ٱلْحَرَامِ

     warzuqni hajja baytika alharami

     grant me opportunity to go on pilgrimage to Your Holy House

626. فِي عَامِنَا هٰذَا وَفِي كُلِّ عَامٍ

     fi `amina hadha wa fi kulli `amin

     in this year as well as all coming years,

627. وَزِيَارَةَ قَبْرِ نَبِيِّكَ وَٱلأَئِمَّةِ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلسَّلامُ

     wa ziyarata qabri nabiyyika wal-a'immati `alayhim alssalamu

     grant me to go on pilgrimage to the tombs of Your Prophet and the Imams, peace be upon them,

628. وَلاَ تُخْلِنِي يَا رَبِّ مِنْ تِلْكَ ٱلْمَشَاهِدِ ٱلشَّرِيفَةِ

     wa la tukhlini ya rabbi min tilka almashahidi alshsharifati

     and do not deprive me, O Lord, of such honorable scenes

629. وَٱلْمَوَاقِفِ ٱلْكَرِيمَةِ

     walmawaqifi alkarimati

     and noble situations.

630. اَللَّهُمَّ تُبْ عَلَيَّ حَتَّىٰ لاَ أَعْصِيَكَ

     allahumma tub `alayya hatta la a`siyaka

     O Allah, accept my repentance so that I will not disobey you ever again,

631. وَأَلْهِمْنِي ٱلْخَيْرَ وَٱلْعَمَلَ بِهِ

     wa alhimni alkhayra wa al`amala bihi

     inspire me with goodness, good-doing,

632. وَخَشْيَتَكَ بِٱللَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ مَا أَبْقَيْتَنِي

     wa khashyataka billayli wa alnnahari ma abqaytani

     and fear of You all over day and night as long as You keep me alive.

633. يَا رَبَّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

     ya rabba al`alamina

     O Lord of the worlds!

634. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي كُلَّمَا قُلْتُ قَدْ تَهَيَّأْتُ وَتَعَبَّأْتُ

     allahumma inni kullama qultu qad tahayya'tu wa ta`abba'tu

     O Allah, each time I decide to prepare and ready myself

635. وَقُمْتُ لِلصَّلاَةِ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ وَنَاجَيْتُكَ

     wa qumtu lilssalati bayna yadayka wa najaytuka

     for offering prayers before You and conversing confidentially with You,

636. أَلْقَيْتَ عَلَيَّ نُعَاساً إِذَا أَنَا صَلَّيْتُ

     alqayta `alayya nu`asan idha ana sallaytu

     You throw on me slumber whenever I stand for prayer;

637. وَسَلَبْتَنِي مُنَاجَاتَكَ إِذَا أَنَا نَاجَيْتُ

     wa salabtani munajataka idha ana najaytu

     thus, You deprive me of conversing with You confidentially whenever I try so.

638. مَالِي كُلَّمَا قُلْتُ قَدْ صَلُحَتْ سَرِيرَتِي

     mali kullama qultu qad saluhat sarirati

     What is the wrong with me? Whenever I feel that my inner self has become decent

639. وَقَرُبَ مِنْ مَجَالِسِ ٱلتَّوَّابِينَ مَجْلِسِي

     wa qaruba min majalisi alttawwabina majlisi

     and that my session has become similar to the sessions of those who turn much to You,

640. عَرَضَتْ لِي بَلِيَّةٌ أَزَالَتْ قَدَمِي وَحَالَتْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ خِدْمَتِكَ

     `aradat li baliyyatun azalat qadami wa halat bayni wa bayna khidmatika

     a misfortune would inflict me, causing my feet to be shaken, and standing against my showing servitude to You.

641. سَيِّدِي لَعَلَّكَ عَنْ بَابِكَ طَرَدْتَنِي

     sayyidi la`allaka `an babika taradtani

     O my Master, perhaps You have pushed me away from Your door

642. وَعَنْ خِدْمَتِكَ نَحَّيْتَنِي

     wa `an khidmatika nahhaytani

     and You have dismissed me from Your service!

643. أَوْ لَعَلَّكَ رَأَيْتَنِي مُسْتَخِفّاً بِحَقِّكَ فَأَقْصَيْتَنِي

     aw la`allaka ra'aytani mustakhiffan bihaqqika fa'aqsaytani

     Or, perhaps, You have noticed that I belittled the duties that You have made incumbent upon me, and You thus set me aside!

644. أَوْ لَعَلَّكَ رَأَيْتَنِي مُعْرِضاً عَنْكَ فَقَلَيْتَنِي

     aw la`allaka ra'aytani mu`ridan `anka faqalaytani

     Or, perhaps, You have seen me turning away from You and thus You have turned away from me!

645. أَوْ لَعَلَّكَ وَجَدْتَنِي فِي مَقَامِ ٱلْكَاذِبِينَ فَرَفَضْتَنِي

     aw la`allaka wajadtani fi maqami alkadhibina farafadtani

     Or, perhaps, You have found me in the manner of the liars and thus You have rejected me!

646. أَوْ لَعَلَّكَ رَأَيْتَنِي غَيْرَ شَاكِرٍ لِنَعْمَائِكَ فَحَرَمْتَنِي

     aw la`allaka ra'aytani ghayra shakirin lina`ma'ika faharamtani

     Or, perhaps, You have observed me showing no gratitude for Your graces and thus You have deprived me of them!

647. أَوْ لَعَلَّكَ فَقَدْتَنِي مِنْ مَجَالِسِ ٱلْعُلَمَاءِ فَخَذَلْتَنِي

     aw la`allaka faqadtani min majalisi al`ulama'i fakhadhaltani

     Or, perhaps, You have not found me in the meetings of the scholars and thus You have let me down!

648. أَوْ لَعَلَّكَ رَأَيْتَنِي فِي ٱلْغَافِلِينَ فَمِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ آيَسْتَنِي

     aw la`allaka ra'aytani filghafilina famin rahmatika ayastani

     Or, perhaps, You have seen me among the inattentive ones and thus You have made me despair of Your mercy!

649. أَوْ لَعَلَّكَ رَأَيْتَنِي آلِفَ مَجَالِسِ ٱلْبَطَّالِينَ فَبَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمْ خَلَّيْتَنِي

     aw la`allaka ra'aytani alafu majalisa albattalina fabayni wa baynahum khallaytani

     Or, perhaps, You have found me fond of the sessions of the wrongdoers and thus You have referred me to them!

650. أَوْ لَعَلَّكَ لَمْ تُحِبَّ أَنْ تَسْمَعَ دُعَائِي فَبَاعَدْتَنِي

     aw la`allaka lam tuhibba an tasma`a du`a'i faba`adtani

     Or, perhaps, You have not willed to hear my prayers and thus You have kept me away from You!

651. أَوْ لَعَلَّكَ بِجُرْمِي وَجَرِيرَتِي كَافَيْتَنِي

     aw la`allaka bijurmi wa jarirati kafaytani

     Or, perhaps, You have punished me for my offenses and sins!

652. أَوْ لَعَلَّكَ بِقِلَّةِ حَيَائِي مِنْكَ جَازَيْتَنِي

     aw la`allaka biqillati haya'i minka jazaytani

     Or, perhaps, You have penalized me for my shamelessness!

653. فَإِنْ عَفَوْتَ يَا رَبِّ فَطَالَمَا عَفَوْتَ عَنِ ٱلْمُذْنِبِينَ قَبْلِي

     fa'in `afawta ya rabbi fatalama `afawta `an almudhnibina qabli

     If You forgive me, O Lord, then You have occasionally forgiven the sinners like me,

654. لأَنَّ كَرَمَكَ أَيْ رَبِّ يَجِلُّ عَنْ مُكَافَاةِ ٱلْمُقَصِّرِينَ

     li'anna karamaka ay rabbi yajillu `an mukafati almuqassirina

     because Your compassion, O my Lord, is too great to be compared to the punishment of the negligent.

655. وَأَنَا عَائِذٌ بِفَضْلِكَ هَارِبٌ مِنْكَ إِلَيْكَ

     wa ana `a'idhun bifadlika haribun minka ilayka

     I am now seeking refuge with Your generosity and fleeing for You to You,

656. مُتَنَجِّزٌ مَا وَعَدْتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّفْحِ عَمَّنْ أَحْسَنَ بِكَ ظَنّاً

     mutanajjizun ma wa`adta min alssafhi `amman ahsana bika zannan

     hoping for the promise that You have taken as regards pardoning those who have good idea about You.

657. إِلٰهِي أَنْتَ أَوْسَعُ فَضْلاً

     ilahi anta awsa`u fadlan

     O my God, You are too expansive in favor

658. وَأَعْظَمُ حِلْماً مِنْ أَنْ تُقَايِسَنِي بِعَمَلِي

     wa a`zamu hilman min an tuqayisani bi`amali

     and too great in forbearance to punish me for my deed

659. أَوْ أَنْ تَسْتَزِلَّنِي بِخَطِيئَتِي

     aw an tastazillani bikhati'ati

     or to chastise me for my sin.

660. وَمَا أَنَا يَا سَيِّدِي وَمَا خَطَرِي

     wa ma ana ya sayyidi wa ma khatari

     What am I? O Master! What is my weight?

661. هَبْنِي بِفَضْلِكَ سَيِّدِي

     habni bifadlika sayyidi

     Excuse me out of Your favor, O my Master,

662. وَتَصَدَّقْ عَلَيَّ بِعَفْوِكَ

     wa tasaddaq `alayya bi`afwika

     act to me charitably our of Your pardon,

663. وَجَلِّلْنِي بِسِتْرِكَ

     wa jallilni bisitrika

     cover me with Your covering,

664. وَٱعْفُ عَنْ تَوْبِيخِي بِكَرَمِ وَجْهِكَ

     wa`fu `an tawbikhi bikarami wajhika

     and let off chiding me out of the liberality of Your Face.

665. سَيِّدِي أَنَا ٱلصَّغِيرُ ٱلَّذِي رَبَّيْتَهُ

     sayyidi ana alssaghiru alladhi rabbaytahu

     O my Master! I am the little that You have brought up,

666. وَأَنَا ٱلْجَاهِلُ ٱلَّذِي عَلَّمْتَهُ

     wa ana aljahilu alladhi `allamtahu

     I am the ignorant that You have taught,

667. وَأَنَا ٱلضَّالُّ ٱلَّذِي هَدَيْتَهُ

     wa ana alddallu alladhi hadaytahu

     I am the straying that You have guided,

668. وَأَنَا ٱلْوَضِيعُ ٱلَّذِي رَفَعْتَهُ

     wa ana alwadi`u alladhi rafa`tahu

     I am the humble that You have given rise,

669. وَأَنَا ٱلْخَائِفُ ٱلَّذِي آمَنْتَهُ

     wa ana alkha'ifu alladhi amantahu

     I am the afraid that You have given security,

670. وَٱلْجَائِعُ ٱلَّذِي أَشْبَعْتَهُ

     walja'i`u alladhi ashba`tahu

     I am the hungry that You have satiated,

671. وَٱلْعَطْشَانُ ٱلَّذِي أَرْوَيْتَهُ

     wal`atshanu alladhi arwaytahu

     I am the thirsty that You have watered,

672. وَٱلْعَارِي ٱلَّذِي كَسَوْتَهُ

     wal`ari alladhi kasawtahu

     I am the naked that You have dressed,

673. وَٱلْفَقِيرُ ٱلَّذِي أَغْنَيْتَهُ

     walfaqiru alladhi aghnaytahu

     I am the poor that You have given affluence,

674. وَٱلضَّعِيفُ ٱلَّذِي قَوَّيْتَهُ

     waldda`ifu alladhi qawwaytahu

     I am the weak that You have strengthened,

675. وَٱلذَّلِيلُ ٱلَّذِي أَعْزَزْتَهُ

     waldhdhalilu alladhi a`zaztahu

     I am the lowly that You have given might,

676. وَٱلسَّقِيمُ ٱلَّذِي شَفَيْتَهُ

     walssaqimu alladhi shafaytahu

     I am the ill that You have cured,

677. وَٱلسَّائِلُ ٱلَّذِي أَعْطَيْتَهُ

     walssa'ilu alladhi a`taytahu

     I am the beggar that You have donated,

678. وَٱلْمُذْنِبُ ٱلَّذِي سَتَرْتَهُ

     walmudhnibu alladhi satartahu

     I am the sinner that You have covered,

679. وَٱلْخَاطِئُ ٱلَّذِي أَقَلْتَهُ

     walkhati'u alladhi aqaltahu

     I am the guilty that You have excused,

680. وَأَنَا ٱلْقَلِيلُ ٱلَّذِي كَثَّرْتَهُ

     wa ana alqalilu alladhi kaththartahu

     I am the valueless that You have evaluated,

681. وَٱلْمُسْتَضْعَفُ ٱلَّذِي نَصَرْتَهُ

     walmustad`afu alladhi nasartahu

     I am the helpless that You have backed,

682. وَأَنَا ٱلطَّرِيدُ ٱلَّذِي آوَيْتَهُ

     wa ana alttaridu alladhi awaytahu

     and I am the expelled that You have boarded.

683. أَنَا يَا رَبِّ ٱلَّذِي لَمْ أَسْتَحْيِكَ فِي ٱلْخَلاَءِ

     ana ya rabbi alladhi lam astahyika fi alkhala'i

     I am, O my Lord, the one who has not felt ashamed of You in secrets

684. وَلَمْ أُرَاقِبْكَ فِي ٱلْمَلاَءِ

     wa lam uraqibka fi almala'i

     and the one who has not considered Your watching over him in the public.

685. أَنَا صَاحِبُ ٱلدَّوَاهِي ٱلْعُظْمَىٰ

     ana sahibu alddawahi al`uzma

     I am the committer of the grave transgressions,

686. أَنَا ٱلَّذِي عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِهِ ٱجْتَرأَ

     ana alladhi `ala sayyidihi ijtara'a

     I am the one who challenged his Master,

687. أَنَا ٱلَّذِي عَصَيْتُ جَبَّارَ ٱلسَّمَاءِ

     ana alladhi `asaytu jabbara alssama'a

     I am the one who disobeyed the All-great of the heavens,

688. أَنَا ٱلَّذِي أَعْطَيْتُ عَلَىٰ مَعَاصِي ٱلْجَلِيلِ ٱلرِّشَىٰ

     ana alladhi a`taytu `ala ma`asi aljalili alrrisha

     I am the one who has given bribes violating the laws of the All-lofty Lord,

689. أَنَا ٱلَّذِي حِينَ بُشِّرْتُ بِهَا خَرَجْتُ إِلَيْهَا أَسْعَىٰ

     ana alladhi hina bushshirtu biha kharajtu ilayha as`a

     I am the one who has been delighted for committing such sins,

690. أَنَا ٱلَّذِي أَمْهَلْتَنِي فَمَا ٱرْعَوَيْتُ

     ana alladhi amhaltani fama ir`awaytu

     I am the one who, although You have respited, has not cared,

691. وَسَتَرْتَ عَلَيَّ فَمَا ٱسْتَحْيَيْتُ

     wa satarta `alayya fama istahyaytu

     I am the one whom, although You have covered him, has not felt ashamed,

692. وَعَمِلْتُ بِٱلْمَعَاصِي فَتَعَدَّيْتُ

     wa `amiltu bilma`asi fata`addaytu

     who committed so many acts of disobedience that he has violated (all terms),

693. وَأَسْقَطْتَنِي مِنْ عَيْنِكَ فَمَا بَالَيْتُ

     wa asqattani min `aynika fama balaytu

     and who, although You have disregarded, has not minded.

694. فَبِحِلْمِكَ أَمْهَلْتَنِي

     fabihilmika amhaltani

     So, out of Your forbearance have You given me respite.

695. وَبِسِتْرِكَ سَتَرْتَنِي حَتَّىٰ كَأَنَّكَ أَغْفَلْتَنِي

     wa bisitrika satartani hatta ka'annaka aghfaltani

     You have concealed (my faults) with Your untouchable concealment as if You have been unaware of my acts.

696. وَمِنْ عُقُوبَاتِ ٱلْمَعَاصِي جَنَّبْتَنِي حَتَّىٰ كَأَنَّكَ ٱسْتَحْيَيْتَنِي

     wa min `uqubati alma`asi jannabtani hatta ka'annaka istahyaytani

     You have not applied to me the punishments of committing acts of disobedience (to You) as if You are ashamed to face me.

697. إِلٰهِي لَمْ أَعْصِكَ حِينَ عَصَيْتُكَ وَأَنَا بِرُبُوبِيَّتِكَ جَاحِدٌ

     ilahi lam a`sika hina `asaytuka wa ana birububiyyatika jahidun

     O my God, as I disobeyed You, I have never denied Your Lordship,

698. وَلاَ بِأَمْرِكَ مُسْتَخِفٌّ

     wa la bi-amrika mustakhiffun

     have never belittled Your ordains,

699. وَلاَ لِعُقُوبَتِكَ مُتَعَرِّضٌ

     wa la li`uqubatika muta`arridun

     have never wished for exposing myself to Your chastisement,

700. وَلاَ لِوَعِيدِكَ مُتَهَاوِنٌ

     wa la liwa`idika mutahawinun

     and have never disparaged Your threat.

701. لَكِنْ خَطِيئَةٌ عَرَضَتْ وَسَوَّلَتْ لِي نَفْسِي

     lakin khati'atun `aradat wa sawwalat li nafsi

     Nevertheless, sins showed themselves desirable before me, my self commended to me,

702. وَغَلَبَنِي هَوَايَ

     wa ghalabani hawaya

     my whim overwhelmed me,

703. وَأَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهَا شِقْوَتِي

     wa a`anani `alayha shiqwati

     my impudence helped me accordingly,

704. وَغَرَّنِي سِتْرُكَ ٱلْمُرْخَىٰ عَلَيَّ

     wa gharrani sitruka almurkha `alayya

     and I have been deceived by Your covering that You have laid on me.

705. فَقَدْ عَصَيْتُكَ وَخَالَفْتُكَ بِجُهْدِي

     faqad `asaytuka wa khalaftuka bijuhdi

     So, I have exerted efforts in violating Your orders and disobeying You.

706. فَٱلآنَ مِنْ عَذَابِكَ مَنْ يَسْتَنْقِذُنِي

     fal'ana min `adhabika man yastanqidhuni

     Now, who can ever save me from Your chastisement?

707. وَمِنْ أَيْدِي ٱلْخُصَمَاءِ غَداً مَنْ يُخَلِّصُنِي

     wa min aydi alkhusama'i ghadan man yukhallisuni

     Tomorrow, who can save me from the hands of my rivals?

708. وَبِحَبْلِ مَنْ أَتَّصِلُ إِنْ أَنْتَ قَطَعْتَ حَبْلَكَ عَنِّي

     wa bihabli man attasilu in anta qata`ta hablaka `anni

     Whose rope will I catch if You cut off the rope between You and me?

709. فَوَاسَوْأَتَا عَلَىٰ مَا أَحْصَىٰ كِتَابُكَ مِنْ عَمَلِي

     fa wa saw'ata `ala ma ahsa kitabuka min `amaliya alladhi

     Shame on me for my evildoings that Your Book has recorded.

710. ٱلَّذِي لَوْلاَ مَا أَرْجُو مِنْ كَرَمِكَ وَسَعَةِ رَحْمَتِكَ

     lawla ma arju min karamika wa sa`ati rahmatika

     Had it not been for Your generosity, the breadth of Your mercy,

711. وَنَهْيِكَ إِيَّايَ عَنِ ٱلَّذِي لْقُنُوطِ لَقَنَطْتُ عِنْدَمَا أَتَذَكَّرُهَا

     wa nahyika iyyaya `an alqunuti laqanattu `indama atadhakkaruha

     and Your warning me against being desperate—the matters that I hopefully depend on, I would have despaired whenever I remember my sins.

712. يَا خَيْرَ مَنْ دَعَاهُ دَاعٍ

     ya khayra man da`ahu da`in

     O Greatest Besought Who has been ever besought!

713. وَأَفْضَلَ مَنْ رَجَاهُ رَاجٍ

     wa afdala man rajahu rajin

     O Most Favorable Hoped!

714. اَللَّهُمَّ بِذِمَّةِ ٱلإِسْلاَمِ أَتَوَسَّلُ إِلَيْكَ

     allahumma bidhimmati al-islami atawassalu ilayka

     O Allah! I beseech You in the name of the liability of Islam,

715. وَبِحُرْمَةِ ٱلْقُرْآنِ أَعْتَمِدُ عَلَيْكَ

     wa bihurmati alqur'ani a`tamidu `alayka

     I rely upon You in the name of the sanctity of the Qur’an,

716. وَبِحُبِّي ٱلنَّبِيَّ ٱلأُمِّيَّ

     wa bihubbi alnnabiyya al-ummiyya

     in the name of my love for the Prophet; the Ummi (inhabitant of Mecca),

717. ٱلْقُرَشِيَّ ٱلْهَاشِمِيَّ

     alqurashiyya alhashimiyya

     the Qurayshite, the Hashemite,

718. ٱلْعَرَبِيَّ ٱلتُّهَامِيَّ

     al`arabiyya alttuhamiyya

     the Arab, the Tuhamite,

719. ٱلْمَكِّيَّ ٱلْمَدَنِيَّ

     almakkiyya almadaniyya

     the Meccan, and the Madanite,

720. أَرْجُو ٱلزُّلْفَةَ لَدَيْكَ

     arju alzzulfata ladayka

     I hope for proximity to You.

721. فَلاَ تُوحِشِ ٱسْتِينَاسَ إِيـمَانِي

     fala tuhish isti'nasa imani

     So, do not disturb my familiarity with faith

722. وَلاَ تَجْعَلْ ثَوَابِي ثَوَابَ مَنْ عَبَدَ سِوَاكَ

     wa la taj`al thawabi thawaba man `abada siwaka

     and do not make my reward the same as reward given to those who serve one other than You.

723. فَإِنَّ قَوْماً آمَنُوٱ بِأَلْسِنَتِهِمْ لِيَحْقِنُوٱ بِهِ دِمَاءَهُمْ

     fa'inna qawman amanu bi'alsinatihim liyahqinu bihi dima'ahum

     Certainly, some people outwardly declared the faith so that they could prevent their blood from being shed.

724. فَأَدْرَكُوٱ مَا أَمَّلُوٱ

     fa'adraku ma ammalu

     However, they attained their goals.

725. وَإِنَّا آمَنَّا بِكَ بِأَلْسِنَتِنَا وَقُلُوبِنَا لِتَعْفُوَ عَنَّا

     wa'inna amanna bika bi'alsinatina wa qulubina lita`fuwa `anna

     We have believed in You by heart and tongue so that You may excuse us.

726. فَأَدْرِكْنَا مَا أَمَّلْنَا

     fa'adrikna ma ammalna

     Hence, make us attain our goals,

727. وَثَبِّتْ رَجَاءَكَ فِي صُدُورِنَا

     wa thabbit raja'aka fi sudurina

     make firm our hope for You in our hearts,

728. وَلاَ تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا

     wa la tuzigh qulubana ba`da idh hadaytana

     make not our hearts to deviate after You have guided us aright,

729. وَهَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً

     wa hab lana min ladunka rahmatan

     and grant us from You mercy.

730. إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ ٱلْوَهَّابُ

     innaka anta alwahhabu

     Surely, You are the most liberal Giver.

731. فَوَعِزَّتِكَ لَوِ ٱنْتَهَرْتَنِي مَا بَرِحْتُ مِنْ بَابِكَ

     fawa`izzatika law intahartani ma barihtu min babika

     By Your Majesty I swear, O my Lord, even if You chide me, I shall never leave Your Door

732. وَلاَ كَفَفْتُ عَنْ تَمَلُّقِكَ

     wa la kafaftu `an tamalluqika

     and I shall never stop flattering You.

733. لِمَا أُلْهِمَ قَلْبِي مِنَ ٱلْمَعْرِفَةِ بِكَرَمِكَ وَسَعَةِ رَحْمَتِكَ

     lima ulhima qalbi min alma`rifati bikaramika wa sa`ati rahmatika

     This is because I have full acquaintance with Your (indescribable) generosity and bounty.

734. إِلَىٰ مَنْ يَذْهَبُ ٱلْعَبْدُ إِلاَّ إِلَىٰ مَوْلاهُ

     ila man yadhhabu al`abdul illa ila mawlahu

     To whom may a servant go save to his Lord?

735. وَإِلَىٰ مَنْ يَلْتَجِئُ ٱلْمَخْلُوقُ إِلاَّ إِلَىٰ خَالِقِهِ

     wa ila man yaltaji'u almakhluqu illa ila khaliqihi

     To whom may a mortal resort save to his Creator?

736. إِلٰهِي لَوْ قَرَنْتَنِي بِٱلأَصْفَادِ

     ilahi law qarantani bil-asfadi

     O my God, even if You tie me with chains,

737. وَمَنَعْتَنِي سَيْبَكَ مِنْ بَيْنِ ٱلأَشْهَادِ

     wa mana`tani saybaka min bayni al-ashhadi

     deprive me of the stream of Your bounties in the presence of people,

738. وَدَلَلْتَ عَلَىٰ فَضَائِحِي عُيُونَ ٱلْعِبَادِ

     wa dalalta `ala fada'ihi `uyuna al`ibadi

     divulge all my scandalous acts before the eyes of all Your servants,

739. وَأَمَرْتَ بِي إِلَىٰ ٱلنَّارِ

     wa amarta bi ila alnnari

     order me to Hell,

740. وَحُلْتَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ ٱلأَبْرَارِ

     wa hulta bayni wa bayna al-abrari

     and prevent me from communicating the Pious ones,

741. مَا قَطَعْتُ رَجَائِي مِنْكَ

     ma qata`tu raja'i minka

     (in spite of all that) I will never stop hoping for You,

742. وَمَا صَرَفْتُ تَأْمِيلِي لِلْعَفْوِ عَنْكَ

     wa ma saraftu ta'mili lil`afwi `anka

     I will never stop expecting Your pardon,

743. وَلاَ خَرَجَ حُبُّكَ مِنْ قَلْبِي

     wa la kharaja hubbuka min qalbi

     and Your love will never exit my heart.

744. أَنَا لاَ أَنْسَىٰ أَيَادِيَكَ عِنْدِي

     ana la ansa ayadiyaka `indi

     I never forget Your graces that I enjoy

745. وَسِتْرَكَ عَلَيَّ فِي دَارِ ٱلدُّنْيَا

     wa sitraka `alayya fi dari alddunya

     and Your having concealed my defects in the worldly abode.

746. سَيِّدِي أَخْرِجْ حُبَّ ٱلدُّنْيَا مِنْ قَلْبِي

     sayyidi akhrij hubba alddunya min qalbi

     O my Master, (please) expel love for the world out of my heart,

747. وَٱجْمَعْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ ٱلْمُصْطَفَىٰ وَآلِهِ

     wa ijma` bayni wa bayna almustafa wa alihi

     join me with the Divinely-chosen Prophet and his Household,

748. خِيَرَتِكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ وَخَاتَمِ ٱلنَّبِيِّينَ

     khiyaratika min khalqika wa khatami alnnabiyyina

     the choicest of Your creatures and the seal of the Prophets:

749. مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰ آلِهِ

     muhammadin salla allahu `alyhi wa alihi

     Muhammad, blessings of Allah be on him and on his Household.

750. وَٱنْقُلْنِي إِلَىٰ دَرَجَةِ ٱلتَّوْبَةِ إِلَيْكَ

     wanqulni ila darajati alttawbati ilayka

     Move me to the rank of repentance with You,

751. وَأَعِنِّي بِٱلْبُكَاءِ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِي فَقَدْ أَفْنَيْتُ عُمْرِي

     wa a`inni bilbuka'i `ala nafsi faqad afnaytu `umuri

     help me weep for myself after I have come upon the last of my age,

752. وَقَدْ نَزَلْتُ مَنْزِلَةَ ٱلآيِسِينَ مِنْ خَيْرِي

     wa qad nazaltu manzilata al-ayisina min khayri

     being in the manner of those who despair of any self-decency.

753. فَمَنْ يَكُونُ أَسْوَأَ حَالاً مِنِّي

     faman yakunu aswa'a halan minni

     Who is then worse than I am

754. إِنْ أَنَا نُقِلْتُ عَلَىٰ مِثْلِ حَالِي

     in ana nuqiltu `ala mithli hali ila qabrin

     when I, such being my case, will be taken to a grave

755. إِلَىٰ قَبْرٍ لَمْ أُمَهِّدْهُ لِرَقْدَتِي

     lam umahhid-hu liraqdati

     that I have neither paved for my long stay

756. وَلَمْ أَفْرُشْهُ بِٱلْعَمَلِ ٱلصَّالِحِ لِضَجْعَتِي

     wa lam afrishhu bil`amali alssalihi lidaj`ati

     nor furnished with righteous deed for my extended abode.

757. وَمَا لِي لاَ أَبْكِي

     wa mali la abki

     Why should I not weep

758. وَلاَ أَدْرِي إِلَىٰ مَا يَكُونُ مَصِيرِي

     wa la adri ila ma yakunu masiri

     while I do not know what my destiny will be?

759. وَأَرَىٰ نَفْسِي تُخَادِعُنِي

     wa ara nafsi tukhadi`uni

     And while I notice that my self is cheating me,

760. وَأَيَّامِي تُخَاتِلُنِي

     wa ayyami tukhatiluni

     my days are deceiving me,

761. وَقَدْ خَفَقَتْ عِنْدَ رَأْسِي أَجْنِحَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ

     wa qad khafaqat `inda ra'si ajnihatu almawti

     and the wings of death are fluttering over my head.

762. فَمَا لِي لاَ أَبْكِي

     famali la abki

     So, why should I not weep?

763. أَبْكِي لِخُرُوجِ نَفْسِي

     abki likhuruji nafsi

     I weep for my soul’s departing my body.

764. أَبْكِي لِظُلْمَةِ قَبْرِي

     abki lizulmati qabri

     I weep for the darkness of my grave.

765. أَبْكِي لِضِيقِ لَحْدِي

     abki lidiqi lahdi

     I weep for the narrowness of my vault.

766. أَبْكِي لِسُؤَالِ مُنْكَرٍ وَنَكِيرٍ إِيَّايَ

     abki lisu'ali munkarin wa nakirin iyyaya

     I weep for Munkar and Nakir (the two angels interrogating in graves) being interrogating me.

767. أَبْكِي لِخُرُوجِي مِنْ قَبْرِي عُرْيَاناً ذَلِيلاً

     abki likhuruji min qabri `uryanan dhalilan

     I weep for my coming out of my grave (on the Resurrection Day) naked, humiliated,

768. حَامِلاً ثِقْلِي عَلَىٰ ظَهْرِي

     hamilan thiqli `ala zahri

     carrying my burdens on my back,

769. أَنْظُرُ مَرَّةً عَنْ يَمِينِي وَأُخْرَىٰ عَنْ شِمَالِي

     anzuru marratan `an yamini wa ukhra `an shimali

     distributing my sights to my right and my left.

770. إِذِ ٱلْخَلائِقُ فِي شَأْنٍ غَيْرِ شَأْنِي

     idh alkhala'iqu fi sha'nin ghayri sha'ni

     Behold! The creatures will each be engaged with matters other than mine.

771. ”لِكُلِّ ٱمْرِئٍ مِنْهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ شَأْنٌ يُغْنِيهِ“

     likulli imri'in minhum yawma'idhin sha'nun yughnihi

     Every man that day will have concern enough to make him heedless of others.

772. ”وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُسْفِرَةٌ ضَاحِكَةٌ مُسْتَبْشِرَةٌ

     wujuhun yawma'idhin musfiratun dahikatun mustabshiratun

     Many faces on that day shall be bright, laughing, joyous.

773. وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَلَيْهَا غَبَرَةٌ تَرْهَقُهَا قَتَرَةٌ“ وَذِلَّةٌ

     wa wujuhun yawma'idhin `alayha ghabaratun tarhaquha qataratun wa dhillatun

     And many faces on that day, on them shall be dust. Darkness, and humiliation shall cover them.

774. سَيِّدِي عَلَيْكَ مُعَوَّلِي وَمُعْتَمَدِي

     sayyidi `alayka mu`awwali wa mu`tamadi

     O my Master, on You I depend and rely.

775. وَرَجَائِي وَتَوَكُّلِي

     wa raja'i wa tawakkuli

     In You I put my hope and faith.

776. وَبِرَحْمَتِكَ تَعَلُّقِي

     wa birahmatika ta`alluqi

     To Your mercy I hang.

777. تُصِيبُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ مَنْ تَشَاءُ

     tusibu birahmatika man tasha'u

     You direct Your mercy towards whomsoever You like

778. وَتَهْدِي بِكَرَامَتِكَ مَنْ تُحِبُّ

     wa tahdi bikaramatika man tuhibbu

     and You guide, out of Your honoring, whomsoever You will.

779. فَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ عَلَىٰ مَا نَقَّيْتَ مِنَ ٱلشِّرْكِ قَلْبِي

     falaka alhamdu `ala ma naqqayta min alshshirki qalbi

     So, all praise be to You for You have purified my heart from polytheism.

780. وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ عَلَىٰ بَسْطِ لِسَانِي

     wa laka alhamdu `ala basti lisani

     All praise be to You for You have made my tongue express utterly.

781. أَفَبِلِسَانِي هٰذَا ٱلْكَالِّ أَشْكُرُكَ

     afabilisani hadha alkalli ashkuruka

     How can I praise You properly while my tongue is too short to do so?

782. أَمْ بِغَايَةِ جُهْدِي فِي عَمَلِي أُرْضِيكَ

     am bighayati juhdi fi `amali urdika

     How can I please You while the extent of my efforts is too short to do so?

783. وَمَا قَدْرُ لِسَانِي يَا رَبِّ فِي جَنْبِ شُكْرِكَ

     wa ma qadru lisani ya rabbi fi janbi shukrika

     What extent can my tongue reach if compared to the limitless extent of thanking You?

784. وَمَا قَدْرُ عَمَلِي فِي جَنْبِ نِعَمِكَ وَإِحْسَانِكَ

     wa ma qadru `amali fi janbi ni`amika wa ihsanika

     What amount can my efforts reach if compared to the limitless amount of Your graces and favors?

785. إِلٰهِي إِنَّ جُودَكَ بَسَطَ أَمَلِي

     ilahi inna judaka basata amali

     O my God! It is certainly Your benevolence that has given me hope.

786. وَشُكْرَكَ قَبِلَ عَمَلِي

     wa shukraka qabila `amali

     It is my thanks to You that have granted approval for my deeds.

787. سَيِّدِي إِلَيْكَ رَغْبَتِي

     sayyidi ilayka raghbati

     O my Master, for You do I desire,

788. وَإِلَيْكَ رَهْبَتِي

     wa ilayka rahbati

     You do I fear,

789. وَإِلَيْكَ تَأْمِيلِي

     wa ilayka ta'mili

     and to You do I look forward.

790. وَقَدْ سَاقَنِي إِلَيْكَ أَمَلِي

     wa qad saqani ilayka amali

     It is my hope that has driven me towards You.

791. وَعَلَيْكَ يَا وَاحِدِي عَكَفَتْ هِمَّتِي

     wa `alayka ya wahidi `akaftu himmati

     To You, O my One and Only God, do I direct my determination.

792. وَفِيمَا عِنْدَكَ ٱنْبَسَطَتْ رَغْبَتِي

     wa fima `indaka inbasatat raghbati

     Towards what You have in possession are my desires directed.

793. وَلَكَ خَالِصُ رَجَائِي وَخَوْفِي

     wa laka khalisu raja'i wa khawfi

     For You is the ultimate of my hope and fear.

794. وَبِكَ أَنِسَتْ مَحَبَّتِي

     wa bika anisat mahabbati

     With You have I become familiar.

795. وَإِلَيْكَ أَلْقَيْتُ بِيَدِي

     wa ilayka alqaytu biyadi

     To You have I submitted my hand.

796. وَبِحَبْلِ طَاعَتِكَ مَدَدْتُ رَهْبَتِي

     wa bihabli ta`atika madadtu rahbati

     To the rope of obedience to You have I extended my fears.

797. يَا مَوْلايَ بِذِكْرِكَ عَاشَ قَلْبِي

     ya mawlaya bidhikrika `asha qalbi

     O my Master, only through mentioning You have my heart lived.

798. وَبِمُنَاجَاتِكَ بَرَّدْتُ أَلَمَ ٱلْخَوْفِ عَنِّي

     wa bimunajatika barradtu alama alkhawfi `anni

     Only through my confidential conversations with You have I cooled the pains of my fear.

799. فَيَا مَوْلايَ وَيَا مُؤَمَّلِي وَيَا مُنْتَهَىٰ سُؤْلِي

     faya mawlaya wa ya mu'ammali wa ya muntaha su'li

     So, O my Master! O my Trusty Patron! O Ultimate Hope!

800. فَرِّقْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ ذَنْبِيَ ٱلْمَانِعِ لِي مِنْ لُزُومِ طَاعَتِكَ

     farriq bayni wa bayna dhanbiya almani`i li min luzumi ta`atika

     Separate me from my transgressions which prevent me from adhering to the obedience to You.

801. فَإِنَّمَا أَسْأَلُكَ لِقَدِيمِ ٱلرَّجَاءِ فِيكَ

     fa'innama as'aluka liqadimi alrraja'i fika

     I only pray You on account of my eternal faith in You

802. وَعَظِيمِ ٱلطَّمَعِ مِنْكَ

     wa `azimi alttama`i minka

     and my desire for Your mercy and kindness

803. ٱلَّذِي أَوْجَبْتَهُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِكَ مِنَ ٱلرَّأْفَةِ وَٱلرَّحْمَةِ

     alladhi awjabtahu `ala nafsika min alrra'fati walrrahmati

     that You have made incumbent upon Yourself.

804. فَٱلأَمْرُ لَكَ وَحْدَكَ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَكَ

     fal-amru laka wahdaka la sharika laka

     So, the whole affair is Yours alone. There is no partner with You at all.

805. وَٱلْخَلْقُ كُلُّهُمْ عِيَالُكَ وَفِي قَبْضَتِكَ

     walkhalqu kulluhum `iyaluka wa fi qabdatika

     All the creatures are dependent upon You and are in Your grip.

806. وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ خَاضِعٌ لَكَ

     wa kullu shay'in khadi`un laka

     All things are submissive to You.

807. تَبَارَكْتَ يَا رَبَّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

     tabarakta ya rabba al`alamina

     Blessed be You, O Lord of the worlds.

808. إِلٰهِي ٱرْحَمْنِي إِذَا ٱنْقَطَعَتْ حُجَّتِي

     ilahi irhamni idha inqata`at hujjati

     O my God, have mercy on me when my argument is proven nil,

809. وَكَلَّ عَنْ جَوَابِكَ لِسَانِي

     wa kalla `an jawabika lisani

     when my tongue can no longer find any answer,

810. وَطَاشَ عِنْدَ سُؤَالِكَ إِيَّايَ لُبِّي

     wa tasha `inda su'alika iyyaya lubbi

     and when my mind scatters as soon as You start interrogating me.

811. فَيَا عَظِيمَ رَجَائِي لاَ تُخَيِّبْنِي إِذَا ٱشْتَدَّتْ فَاقَتِي

     faya `azima raja'i la tukhayyibni idha ishtaddat faqati

     So, O my great hope, do not forsake me when my need terribly increases,

812. وَلاَ تَرُدَّنِي لِجَهْلِي

     wa la taruddani lijahli

     do not reject me on account of my ignorance,

813. وَلاَ تَمْنَعْنِي لِقِلَّةِ صَبْرِي

     wa la tamna`ni liqillati sabri

     and do not stop conferring upon me on account of my lack of patience.

814. أَعْطِنِي لِفَقْرِي

     a`tini lifaqri

     Grant me for I am poor.

815. وَٱرْحَمْنِي لِضَعْفِي

     warhamni lida`fi

     Have mercy upon me for I am weak.

816. سَيِّدِي عَلَيْكَ مُعْتَمَدِي وَمُعَوَّلِي

     sayyidi `alayka mu`tamadi wa mu`awwali

     O my Master, on You do I rely and lean.

817. وَرَجَائِي وَتَوَكُّلِي

     wa raja'i wa tawakkuli

     You are my hope, and in You do I have faith.

818. وَبِرَحْمَتِكَ تَعَلُّقِي

     wa birahmatika ta`alluqi

     To Your mercy do I attach myself.

819. وَبِفِنَائِكَ أَحُطُّ رَحْلِي

     wa bifina'ika ahuttu rahli

     In Your courtyard do I dwell.

820. وَبِجُودِكَ أَقْصِدُ طَلِبَتِي

     wa bijudika aqsidu talibati

     On account of Your benevolence do I declare my request.

821. وَبِكَرَمِكَ أَيْ رَبِّ أَسْتَفْتِحُ دُعَائِي

     wa bikaramika ay rabbi astaftihu du`a'i

     With Your generosity, O my Lord, do I begin my prayers.

822. وَلَدَيْكَ أَرْجُو فَاقَتِي

     wa ladayka arju faqati

     With You do I desire for meeting my needs.

823. وَبِغِنَاكَ أَجْبُرُ عَيْلَتِي

     wa bighinaka ajburu `aylati

     Through Your wealth do I settle my poverty.

824. وَتَحْتَ ظِلِّ عَفْوِكَ قِيَامِي

     wa tahta zilli `afwika qiyami

     Under the shade of Your pardon do I stand.

825. وَإِلَىٰ جُودِكَ وَكَرَمِكَ أَرْفَعُ بَصَرِي

     wa ila judika wa karamika arfa`u basari

     Towards Your benevolence and generosity do I raise my sight.

826. وَإِلَىٰ مَعْرُوفِكَ أُدِيمُ نَظَرِي

     wa ila ma`rufika udimu nazari

     I persistently look for Your favors;

827. فَلاَ تُحْرِقْنِي بِٱلنَّارِ وَأَنْتَ مَوْضِعُ أَمَلِي

     fala tuhriqni bilnnari wa anta mawdi`u amali

     so, do not let the flames of the Fire consume me while You are my ultimate hope,

828. وَلاَ تُسْكِنِّي ٱلْهَاوِيَةَ فَإِنَّكَ قُرَّةُ عَيْنِي

     wa la tuskinni alhawiyata fa'innaka qurratu `ayni

     and do not embed me in the deep black abyss while You are the delight of my eyes.

829. يَا سَيِّدِي لاَ تُكَذِّبْ ظَنِّي بِإِحْسَانِكَ وَمَعْرُوفِكَ

     ya sayyidi la tukadhdhib zanni bi'ihsanika wa ma`rufika

     O my Master, do not thwart my idea about Your grace and favors,

830. فَإِنَّكَ ثِقَتِي

     fa'innaka thiqati

     for in You I trust.

831. وَلاَ تَحْرِمْنِي ثَوَابَكَ

     wa la tahrimni thawabaka

     Do not deprive me of Your rewards,

832. فَإِنَّكَ ٱلْعَارِفُ بِفَقْرِي

     fa'innaka al`arifu bifaqri

     for You best know my poverty.

833. إِلٰهِي إِنْ كَانَ قَدْ دَنَا أَجَلِي وَلَمْ يُقَرِّبْنِي مِنْكَ عَمَلِي

     ilahi in kana qad dana ajali wa lam yuqarribni minka `amali

     O my God, if my death is drawing near while my deeds have not yet drawn me near You,

834. فَقَدْ جَعَلْتُ ٱلإِعْتِرَافَ إِلَيْكَ بِذَنْبِي وَسَائِلَ عِلَلِي

     faqad ja`altu ali`tirafa ilayka bidhanbi wasa'ila `ilali

     then let my confession of having committed sins be my means of justification.

835. إِلٰهِي إِنْ عَفَوْتَ فَمَنْ أَوْلَىٰ مِنْكَ بِٱلْعَفْوِ

     ilahi in `afawta faman awla minka bil`afwi

     O my God, if You forgive, then who is worthier than You in forgiveness?

836. وَإِنْ عَذَّبْتَ فَمَنْ أَعْدَلُ مِنْكَ فِي ٱلْحُكْمِ

     wa in `adhdhabta faman a`dalu minka fi allhukmi

     And if You punish, then who is fairer than You in judgment?

837. ٱرْحَمْ فِي هٰذِهِ ٱلدُّنْيَا غُرْبَتِي

     irham fi hadhihi alddunya ghurbati

     Have mercy on my misery in this world,

838. وَعِنْدَ ٱلْمَوْتِ كُرْبَتِي

     wa `inda almawti kurbati

     on my grief at the time of death,

839. وَفِي ٱلْقَبْرِ وَحْدَتِي

     wa fi alqabri wahdati

     on my loneliness in the grave,

840. وَفِي ٱللَّحْدِ وَحْشَتِي

     wa fi allahdi wahshati

     on my lonesomeness in the underground hole,

841. وَإِذَا نُشِرْتُ لِلْحِسَابِ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ ذُلَّ مَوْقِفِي

     wa idha nushirtu lilhisabi bayna yadayka dhulla mawqifi

     and on my humiliating situation when I shall be resurrected for account before You.

842. وَٱغْفِرْ لِي مَا خَفِيَ عَلَىٰ ٱلآدَمِيِّينَ مِنْ عَمَلِي

     waghfir li ma khafiya `ala al-adamiyyina min `amali

     Forgive my deeds that have been concealed from the other human beings,

843. وَأَدِمْ لِي مَا بِهِ سَتَرْتَنِي

     wa adim li ma bihi satartani

     make permanent for me that on account of which You have covered my faults,

844. وَٱرْحَمْنِي صَرِيعاً عَلَىٰ ٱلْفِرَاشِ تُقَلِّبُنِي أَيْدِي أَحِبَّتِي

     warhamni sari`an `ala alfirashi tuqallibuni aydi ahibbati

     have mercy on me when I am thrown on the death bed turned over at the hands of my dear ones,

845. وَتَفَضَّلْ عَلَيَّ مَمْدُوداً عَلَىٰ ٱلْمُغْتَسَلِ يُقَلِّبُنِي صَالِحُ جِيرَتِي

     wa tafaddal `alayya mamdudan `ala almughtasali yuqallibuni salihu jirati

     do a favor to me when I am laid on the table of the dead bathroom turned over at the hands of my righteous neighbors,

846. وَتَحَنَّنْ عَلَيَّ مَحْمُولاً قَدْ تَنَاوَلَ ٱلأَقْرِبَاءُ أَطْرَافَ جِنَازَتِي

     wa tahannan `alayya mahmulan qad tanawala al-aqriba'u atrafa janazati

     act kindly towards me when I am carried while my relatives hold the edges of my coffin,

847. وَجُدْ عَلَيَّ مَنْقُولاً قَدْ نَزَلْتُ بِكَ وَحِيداً فِي حُفْرَتِي

     wa jud `alayya manqulan qad nazaltu bika wahidan fi hufrati

     be generous with me when I am carried, alone, to my hole,

848. وَٱرْحَمْ فِي ذٰلِكَ ٱلْبَيْتِ ٱلْجَدِيدِ غُرْبَتِي حَتَّىٰ لاَ أَسْتَأْنِسَ بِغَيْرِكَ

     warham fi dhalika albayti aljadidi ghurbati hatta la asta'nisa bighayrika

     have mercy on my loneliness in that (new) dwelling so that I will not feel at ease with anyone other than You.

849. يَا سَيِّدِي إِنْ وَكَلْتَنِي إِلَىٰ نَفْسِي هَلَكْتُ

     ya sayyidi in wakaltani ila nafsi halaktu

     O my Master, if You leave me for myself, I will certainly perish.

850. سَيِّدِي فَبِمَنْ أَسْتَغِيثُ إِنْ لَمْ تُقِلْنِي عَثْرَتِي

     sayyidi fabiman astaghithu in lam tuqilni `athrati

     O my Master, to whom will I resort if You do not overlook my slips?

851. فَإِلَىٰ مَنْ أَفْزَعُ إِنْ فَقَدْتُ عِنَايَتَكَ فِي ضَجْعَتِي

     fa'ila man afza`u in faqadtu `inayataka fi daj`ati

     To whom will I run for help if I miss Your care for me in my stay (in grave)?

852. وَإِلَىٰ مَنْ أَلْتَجِئُ إِنْ لَمْ تُنَفِّسْ كُرْبَتِي

     wa'ila man altaji'u in lam tunaffis kurbati

     To whom will I refer if You do not relieve my grief?

853. سَيِّدِي مَنْ لِي

     sayyidi man li

     O my Master! Who will be with me?

854. وَمَنْ يَرْحَمُنِي إِنْ لَمْ تَرْحَمْنِي

     wa man yarhamuni in lam tarhamni

     Who will have mercy on me if You do not?

855. وَفَضْلَ مَنْ أُؤَمِّلُ إِنْ عَدِمْتُ فَضْلَكَ يَوْمَ فَاقَتِي

     wa fadla man u'ammilu in `adimtu fadlaka yawma faqati

     Whose favor will I expect if I miss Your favors on the day of my neediness?

856. وَإِلَىٰ مَنِ ٱلْفِرَارُ مِنَ ٱلذُّنُوبِ إِذَا ٱنْقَضَىٰ أَجَلِي

     wa'ila man alfararu min aldhdhunubi idha inqada ajali

     To whom will I flee from my sins when my deadline comes?

857. سَيِّدِي لاَ تُعَذِّبْنِي وَأَنَا أَرْجُوكَ

     sayyidi la tu`adhdhibni wa ana arjuka

     O my Master, do not punish me while I please You hopefully.

858. إِلٰهِي حَقِّقْ رَجَائِي

     ilahi haqqiq raja'i

     O my God, (please do) give success to my expectations

859. وَآمِنْ خَوْفِي

     wa amin khawfi

     and dispel my fear.

860. فَإِنَّ كَثْرَةَ ذُنُوبِي لاَ أَرْجُو فِيهَا إِلاَّ عَفْوَكَ

     fa'inna kathrata dhunubi la arju fiha illa `afwaka

     As for my numerous sins, I hope for nothing other than Your pardon.

861. سَيِّدِي أَنَا أَسْأَلُكَ مَا لاَ أَسْتَحِقُّ

     sayyidi ana as'aluka ma la astahiqqu

     O my Master, I am asking You for things that I do not deserve

862. وَأَنْتَ أَهْلُ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ وَأَهْلُ ٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ

     wa anta ahlu alttaqwa wa ahlu almaghfirati

     and You are verily the worthiest of being feared and the worthiest of forgiving.

863. فَٱغْفِرْ لِي وَأَلْبِسْنِي مِنْ نَظَرِكَ ثَوْباً يُغَطِّي عَلَيَّ ٱلتَّبِعَاتِ

     faghfir li wa albisni min nazarika thawban yughatti `alayya alttabi`ati

     So, forgive me and dress me, out of Your relief, a garment covering all my defects,

864. وَتَغْفِرُهَا لِي وَلاَ أُطَالَبُ بِهَا

     wa taghfiruha li wa la utalabu biha

     and forgive them for me so that I will not be responsible for them.

865. إِنَّكَ ذُو مَنٍّ قَدِيمٍ

     innaka dhu mannin qadimin

     Verily, You are the Lord of eternal favoring,

866. وَصَفْحٍ عَظِيمٍ

     wa safhin `azimin

     great pardon,

867. وَتَجَاوُزٍ كَرِيمٍ

     wa tajawuzin karimin

     and liberal exoneration.

868. إِلٰهِي أَنْتَ ٱلَّذِي تُفِيضُ سَيْبَكَ عَلَىٰ مَنْ لاَ يَسْأَلُكَ

     ilahi anta alladhi tufidu saybaka `ala man la yas'aluka

     O my God, You make Your flowing graces reach those who never pray You

869. وَعَلَىٰ ٱلْجَاحِدِينَ بِرُبُوْبِيَّتِكَ

     wa `ala aljahidina birububiyyatika

     and those who deny Your Lordship.

870. فَكَيْفَ سَيِّدِي بِمَنْ سَأَلَكَ وَأَيْقَنَ أَنَّ ٱلْخَلْقَ لَكَ وَٱلأَمْرَ إِلَيْكَ

     fakayfa sayyidi biman sa'alaka wa ayqana anna alkhalqa laka wal-amra ilayka

     So, O my Master, what should You do to those who pray You and believe undoubtedly that You manage all creation and all affairs!

871. تَبَارَكْتَ وَتَعَالَيْتَ يَا رَبَّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

     tabarakta wa ta`alayta ya rabba al`alamina

     Blessed by You and Exalted be You, O Lord of the worlds!

872. سَيِّدِي عَبْدُكَ بِبَابِكَ أَقَامَتْهُ ٱلْخَصَاصَةُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ

     sayyidi `abduka bibabika aqamat-hu alkhasasatu bayna yadayka

     O my Master, I, Your servant, am standing at Your door owing to neediness,

873. يَقْرَعُ بَابَ إِحْسَانِكَ بِدُعَائِهِ

     yaqra`u baba ihsanika bidu`a'ihi

     am knocking at it suppliantly.

874. فَلاَ تُعْرِضْ بِوَجْهِكَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ عَنِّي

     fala tu`rid biwajhika alkarimi `anni

     So, do not turn Your generous Face away from me.

875. وَٱقْبَلْ مِنِّي مَا أَقُولُ فَقَدْ دَعَوْتُ بِهٰذَا ٱلدُّعَاءِ

     waqbal minni ma aqulu faqad da`awtu bihadha alddu`a'i

     Accept that which I utter, for I have prayed using this supplication,

876. وَأَنَا أَرْجُو أَنْ لاَ تَرُدَّنِي مَعْرِفَةً مِنِّي بِرَأْفَتِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ

     wa ana arju an la taruddani ma`rifatan minni bira'fatika wa rahmatika

     hoping that You will not reject me since I have full awareness of Your kindness and mercifulness.

877. إِلٰهِي أَنْتَ ٱلَّذِي لاَ يُحْفِيكَ سَائِلٌ

     ilahi anta alladhi la yuhfika sa'ilun

     O my God, it is You Whom is never disturbed by any suppliant

878. وَلاَ يَنْقُصُكَ نَائِلٌ

     wa la yanqusuka na'ilun

     and Whose kingdom is never decreased owing to donations.

879. أَنْتَ كَمَا تَقُولُ وَفَوْقَ مَا نَقُولُ

     anta kama taqulu wa fawqa ma naqulu

     You are as exactly as You describe Yourself and is above all that which we say.

880. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ صَبْراً جَمِيلاً

     allahumma inni as'aluka sabran jamilan

     O Allah, I beseech You for comely patience,

881. وَفَرَجاً قَرِيباً

     wa farajan qariban

     immediate relief,

882. وَقَوْلاً صَادِقاً

     wa qawlan sadiqan

     truthful wording,

883. وَأَجْراً عَظِيماً

     wa ajran `aziman

     and splendid reward.

884. أَسْأَلُكَ يَا رَبِّ مِنَ ٱلْخَيْرِ كُلِّهِ

     as'aluka ya rabbi min alkhayri kullihi

     I pray You, O Lord, for all goodness,

885. مَا عَلِمْتُ مِنْهُ وَمَا لَمْ أَعْلَمْ

     ma `alimtu minhu wa ma lam a`lam

     be it known by me or unknown.

886. أَسْأَلُكَ ٱللَّهُمَّ مِنْ خَيْرِ مَا سَأَلَكَ مِنْهُ عِبَادُكَ ٱلصَّالِحُونَ

     as'aluka allahumma min khayri ma sa'alaka minhu `ibaduka alssalihuna

     I pray You, O Allah, for the goodness that Your righteous servants have besought from You.

887. يَا خَيْرَ مَنْ سُئِلَ

     ya khayra man su'ila

     O All-excellent One that is asked!

888. وَأَجْوَدَ مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ

     wa ajwada man a`ta

     O most benevolent of those who may give!

889. أَعْطِنِي سُؤْلِي فِي نَفْسِي وَأَهْلِي

     a`tini su'li fi nafsi wa ahli

     (Please do) respond to my request as regards myself, my family,

890. وَوَالِدَيَّ وَوُلْدِي

     wa walidayya wa wuldi

     my parents, my children,

891. وَأَهْلِ حُزَانَتِي وَإِخْوَانِي فِيكَ

     wa ahli huzanati wa ikhwani fika

     my comrades, and my brothers-in-faith.

892. وَأَرْغِدْ عَيْشِي

     wa arghid `ayshi

     Bless my living,

893. وَأَظْهِرْ مُرُوَّتِي

     wa azhir muruwwati

     manifest my integrity,

894. وَأَصْلِحْ جَمِيعَ أَحْوَالِي

     wa aslih jami`a ahwali

     set aright all my affairs,

895. وَٱجْعَلْنِي مِمَّنْ أَطَلْتَ عُمْرَهُ

     waj`alni mimman atalta `umrahu

     and include me with those whom You decide to live long,

896. وَحَسَّنْتَ عَمَلَهُ

     wa hassanta `amalahu

     whose deeds are righteous,

897. وَأَتْمَمْتَ عَلَيْهِ نِعْمَتَكَ وَرَضِيتَ عَنْهُ

     wa atmamta `alayhi ni`mataka wa radita `anhu

     those for whom You have perfected Your favors, those with whom You are pleased,

898. وَأَحْيَيْتَهُ حَيَاةً طَيِّبَةً فِي أَدْوَمِ ٱلسُّرُورِ

     wa ahyaytahu hayatan tayyibatan fi adwami alssururi

     and those whom You have granted comfortable life with permanent pleasure,

899. وَأَسْبَغِ ٱلْكَرَامَةِ وَأَتَمِّ ٱلْعَيْشِ

     wa asbaghi alkaramati wa atammi al`ayshi

     reputable honor, and perfect contentment.

900. إِنَّكَ تَفْعَلُ مَا تَشَاءُ

     innaka taf`alu ma tasha'u

     Verily, You do whatever You will,

901. وَلاَ يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَاءُ غَيْرُكَ

     wa la yaf`alu ma yasha'u ghayruka

     while none else can ever do what one wills.

902. اَللَّهُمَّ خُصَّنِي مِنْكَ بِخَاصَّةِ ذِكْرِكَ

     allahumma khussani minka bikhassati dhikrika

     O Allah, give me exclusively the grace of private mention of You,

903. وَلاَ تَجْعَلْ شَيْئاً مِمَّا أَتَقَرَّبُ بِهِ

     wa la taj`al shay'an mimma ataqarrabu bihi

     do not let any of the things by which I seek Your nearness

904. فِي آنَاءِ ٱللَّيْلِ وَأَطْرَافِ ٱلنَّهَارِ

     fi ana'i allayli wa atrafi alnnahari

     in the hours of the night and the ends of the days

905. رِيَاءً وَلاَ سُمْعَةً

     riya'an wa la sum`atan

     take the form of ostentation, showing off,

906. وَلاَ أَشَراً وَلاَ بَطَراً

     wa la asharan wa la bataran

     pretension, or insolence.

907. وَٱجْعَلْنِي لَكَ مِنَ ٱلْخَاشِعِينَ

     waj`alni laka min alkhashi`ina

     Include me with the humble ones.

908. اَللَّهُمَّ أَعْطِنِي ٱلسَّعَةَ فِي ٱلرِّزْقِ

     allahumma a`tini alssa`ata fi alrrizqi

     O Allah, grant me affluent means of livelihood,

909. وَٱلأَمْنَ فِي ٱلْوَطَنِ

     wal-amni fi alwatani

     security in my homeland,

910. وَقُرَّةَ ٱلْعَيْنِ فِي ٱلأَهْلِ وَٱلْمَالِ وَٱلْوَلَدِ

     wa qurrata al`ayni fi al-ahli walmali walwaladi

     delight in my family, property, and children,

911. وَٱلْمُقَامَ فِي نِعَمِكَ عِنْدِي

     walmuqama fi ni`amika `indi

     permanence of Your graces,

912. وَٱلصِّحَّةَ فِي ٱلْجِسْمِ

     walssihhata fi aljismi

     healthy body,

913. وَٱلْقُوَّةَ فِي ٱلْبَدَنِ

     walquwwata fi albadani

     strong physique,

914. وَٱلسَّلاَمَةَ فِي ٱلدِّينِ

     walssalamata fi addini

     and sound faith.

915. وَٱسْتَعْمِلْنِي بِطَاعَتِكَ وَطَاعَةِ رَسُولِكَ

     wasta`milni bita`atika wa ta`ati rasulika

     Dedicate my affairs to the obedience to You and to Your Messenger,

916. مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰ آلِهِ أَبَداً مَا ٱسْتَعْمَرْتَنِي

     muhammadin salla allahu `alayhi wa `ala alihi abadan ma ista`martani

     Muhammad—Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Household—as long as You give me life.

917. وَٱجْعَلْنِي مِنْ أَوْفَرِ عِبَادِكَ عِنْدَكَ نَصِيباً

     waj`alni min awfari `ibadika `indaka nasiban

     Make me one of the most rewarded servants of You

918. فِي كُلِّ خَيْرٍ أَنْزَلْتَهُ وَتُنْزِلُهُ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ

     fi kulli khayrin anzaltahu wa tunziluhu fi shahri ramadana

     in each and every item of goodness that You have descended and You will descend during the month of Ramadan

919. فِي لَيْلَةِ ٱلْقَدْرِ

     fi laylati alqadri

     and at the Destiny Night

920. وَمَا أَنْتَ مُنْزِلُهُ فِي كُلِّ سَنَةٍ مِنْ رَحْمَةٍ تَنْشُرُهَا

     wa ma anta munziluhu fi kulli sanatin min rahmatin tunshiruha

     as well as all that which You decide to descend throughout the year, including mercy that You spread,

921. وَعَافِيَةٍ تُلْبِسُهَا

     wa `afiyatin tulbisuha

     good health with which You adorn,

922. وَبَلِيَّةٍ تَدْفَعُهَا

     wa baliyyatin tadfa`uha

     misfortune that You repel,

923. وَحَسَنَاتٍ تَتَقَبَّلُهَا

     wa hasanatin tataqabbaluha

     good deeds that You admit,

924. وَسَيِّئَاتٍ تَتَجَاوَزُ عَنْهَا

     wa sayyi'atin tatajawazu `anha

     and evildoings that You excuse.

925. وَٱرْزُقْنِي حَجَّ بَيْتِكَ ٱلْحَرَامِ فِي عَامِنَا هٰذَا وَفِي كُلِّ عَامٍ

     warzuqni hajja baytika alharami fi `amina hadha wa fi kulli `amin

     Bestow upon me with pilgrimage to Your Holy House in this year plus all years,

926. وَٱرْزُقْنِي رِزْقاً وَاسِعاً مِنْ فَضْلِكَ ٱلْوَاسِعِ

     warzuqni rizqan wasi`an min fadlika alwasi`i

     grant me prosperous sustenance out of Your limitless bounty,

927. وَٱصْرِفْ عَنِّي يَا سَيِّدِي ٱلأَسْوَاءَ

     wasrif `anni ya sayyidi al-aswa'a

     dismiss, O my Master, all evils from me,

928. وَٱقْضِ عَنِّي ٱلدَّيْنَ وَٱلظًُّلاَمَاتِ حَتَّىٰ لاَ أَتَأَذَّىٰ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْهُ

     waqdi `anni alddayna walzzulamati hatta la ata'adhadha bishay'in minhu

     help me settle my debts as well as my evildoings so that I will be saved from their liabilities,

929. وَخُذْ عَنِّي بِأَسْمَاعِ وَأَبْصَارِ أَعْدَائِي وَحُسَّادِي وَٱلْبَاغِينَ عَلَيَّ

     wa khudh `anni bi'asma`i wa'absari a`da'i wa hussadi walbaghina `alayya

     save me from the hearings and sights of my enemies, those who envy me, and those who intend to oppress me,

930. وَٱنْصُرْنِي عَلَيْهِمْ

     wansurni `alayhim

     back me against them,

931. وَأَقِرَّ عَيْنِي وَفَرِّحْ قَلْبِي

     wa aqirra `ayni wa farrih qalbi

     give delight to my eye and joy to my heart,

932. وَٱجْعَلْ لِي مِنْ هَمِّي وَكَرْبِي فَرَجاً وَمَخْرَجاً

     waj`al li min hammi wa karbi farajan wa makhrajan

     grant me relief and exit against my grief and misery,

933. وَٱجْعَلْ مَنْ أَرَادَنِي بِسُوءٍ مِنْ جَمِيعِ خَلْقِكَ تَحْتَ قَدَمَيَّ

     waj`al man aradani bisu'in min jami`i khalqika tahta qadamayya

     make all those who intend evil to me, among all Your creatures, be under my feet,

934. وَٱكْفِنِي شَرَّ ٱلشَّيْطَانِ

     wakfini sharra alshshaytani

     protect me against the evil of Satan,

935. وَشَرَّ ٱلسُّلْطَانِ

     wa sharra alssultani

     the evil of the ruling authority,

936. وَسَيِّئَاتِ عَمَلِي

     wa sayyi'ati `amali

     and the consequences of my evildoings,

937. وَطَهِّرْنِي مِنَ ٱلذُّنُوبِ كُلِّهَا

     wa tahhirni min aldhdhunubi kulliha

     purify me from all my sins,

938. وَأَجِرْنِي مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ بِعَفْوِكَ

     wa ajirni min alnnari bi`afwika

     save me from Hellfire on account of Your pardon,

939. وَأَدْخِلْنِي ٱلْجَنَّةَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ

     wa adkhilni aljannata birahmatika

     allow me to enter Paradise on account of Your mercy,

940. وَزَوِّجْنِي مِنَ ٱلْحُورِ ٱلْعِينِ بِفَضْلِكَ

     wa zawwijni min alhuri al`ini bifadlika

     marry me off the Paradisiacal women on account of Your grace,

941. وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِأَوْلِيَائِكَ ٱلصَّالِحِينَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ

     wa alhiqni bi'awliya'aka alssalihina muhammadin wa alihi

     and join me to Your righteous intimate servants—Muhammad and his Household,

942. ٱلأَبْرَارِ ٱلطَّيِّبِينَ ٱلطَّاهِرِينَ ٱلأَخْيَارِ

     al-abrari alttayyibina alttahirina al-akhyari

     the purified, the immaculate, and the pious.

943. صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَعَلَىٰ أَجْسَادِهِمْ وَأَرْوَاحِهِمْ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

     salawatuka `alayhim wa `ala ajsadihim wa arwahihim wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu

     May Your peace, mercy, and blessings be upon their bodies and souls.

944. إِلٰهِي وَسَيِّدِي وَعِزَّتِكَ وَجَلالِكَ

     ilahi wa sayyidi wa `izzatika wa jalalika

     O my God and my Master, I swear by Your Mighty and Your Glory,

945. لَئِنْ طَالَبْتَنِي بِذُنُوبِي لَأُطَالِبَنَّكَ بِعَفْوِكَ

     la'in talabtani bidhunubi la'utalibannaka bi`afwika

     if You will interrogate me for my sins, I will demand with Your pardon.

946. وَلَئِنْ طَالَبْتَنِي بِلُؤْمِي لَأُطَالِبَنَّكَ بِكَرَمِكَ

     wa la'in talabtani bilu'mi la'utalibannaka bikaramika

     If You interrogate me for my meanness, I will demand with Your kindness.

947. وَلَئِنْ أَدْخَلْتَنِي ٱلنَّارَ َلأُخْبِرَنَّ أَهْلَ ٱلنَّارِ بِحُبِّي لَكَ

     wa la'in adkhaltani alnnara la'ukhbiranna ahla alnnari bihubbi laka

     If You order me to Hellfire, I will tell all the inhabitants therein that I love You.

948. إِلٰهِي وَسَيِّدِي إِنْ كُنْتَ لاَ تَغْفِرُ إِلاَّ لأَوْلِيَائِكَ وَأَهْلِ طَاعَتِكَ

     ilahi wa sayyidi in kunta la taghfiru illa li'awliya'ika wa ahli ta`atika

     O my God and Master, if you forgive only Your intimate servants and those who obey You,

949. فَإِلَىٰ مَنْ يَفْزَعُ ٱلْمُذْنِبُونَ

     fa'ila man yafza`u almudhnibuna

     to whom then will the sinful resort?

950. وَإِنْ كُنْتَ لاَ تُكْرِمُ إِلاَّ أَهْلَ ٱلْوَفَاءِ بِكَ

     wa in kunta la tukrimu illa ahla alwafa'i bika

     If You honor none but those who act loyally to You,

951. فَبِمَنْ يَسْتَغِيثُ ٱلْمُسِيئُونَ

     fabiman yastaghithu almusi'una

     then whose shelter will the evildoers seek?

952. إِلٰهِي إِنْ أَدْخَلْتَنِي ٱلنَّارَ فَفِي ذٰلِكَ سُرُورُ عَدُوِّكَ

     ilahi in adkhaltani alnnara fafi dhalika sururu `aduwwika

     O my God, if You decide to put me in Hellfire, this will definitely please Your enemies!

953. وَإِنْ أَدْخَلْتَنِي ٱلْجَنَّةَ فَفِي ذٰلِكَ سُرُورُ نَبِيِّكَ

     wa in adkhaltani aljannata fafi dhalika sururu nabiyyika

     But if You decide Paradise for me, then this will certainly please Your Prophet!

954. وَأَنَا وَٱللَّهِ أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ سُرُورَ نَبِيِّكَ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ سُرُورِ عَدُوِّكَ

     wa ana wallahi a`lamu anna surura nabiyyika ahabbu ilayka min sururi `aduwwika

     And I—by Allah I swear it—know for sure that the pleasure of Your Prophet is more favorable for You than the pleasure of Your enemies.

955. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَمْلأَ قَلْبِي حُبّاً لَكَ

     allahumma inni as'aluka an tamla'a qalbi hubban laka

     O Allah, I pray You for filling my heart with love for You,

956. وَخَشْيَةً مِنْكَ

     wa khashyatan minka

     with fear of You,

957. وَتَصْدِيقاً بِكِتَابِكَ

     wa tasdiqan bikitabika

     with belief in Your Book,

958. وَإِيـمَاناً بِكَ

     wa imanan bika

     with faith in You,

959. وَفَرَقاً مِنْكَ

     wa faraqan minka

     with dread from You,

960. وَشَوْقاً إِلَيْكَ

     wa shawqan ilayka

     and with eagerness to You.

961. يَا ذَا ٱلْجَلالِ وَٱلإِكْرَامِ حَبِّبْ إِلَيَّ لِقَاءَكَ

     ya dha aljalali wal-ikrami habbib ilayya liqa'aka

     O Lord of Glory and Honor, (please do) make me love meeting You,

962. وَأَحْبِبْ لِقَائِي

     wa ahbib liqa'i

     (please do) love my meeting,

963. وَٱجْعَلْ لِي فِي لِقَائِكَ ٱلرَّاحَةَ وَٱلْفَرَجَ وَٱلْكَرَامَةَ

     waj`al li fi liqa'ika alrrahata walfaraja walkaramata

     and make my meeting You entail comfort, relief, and honoring.

964. اَللَّهُمَّ أَلْحِقْنِي بِصَالِحِ مَنْ مَضَىٰ

     allahumma alhiqni bisalihi man mada

     O Allah, join me with the righteous ones among the past generations,

965. وَٱجْعَلْنِي مِنْ صَالِحِ مَنْ بَقِيَ وَخُذْ بِي سَبِيلَ ٱلصَّالِحِينَ

     waj`alni min salihi man baqiya wa khudh bi sabila alssalihina

     include me with the righteous ones of this generation, guide me to the path of the righteous ones,

966. وَأَعِنِّي عَلَىٰ نَفْسِي بِمَا تُعِينُ بِهِ ٱلصَّالِحِينَ عَلَىٰ أَنْفُسِهِمْ

     wa a`inni `ala nafsi bima tu`inu bihi alssalihina `ala anfusihim

     help me against myself in just as You help the righteous ones control themselves,

967. وَٱخْتِمْ عَمَلِي بِأَحْسَنِهِ

     wakhtim `amali bi'ahsanihi

     seal my deed with the best of it,

968. وَٱجْعَلْ ثَوَابِي مِنْهُ ٱلْجَنَّةَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ

     waj`al thawabi minhu aljannata birahmatika

     decide Paradise as the reward of my deeds on account of Your mercy,

969. وَأَعِنِّي عَلَىٰ صَالِحِ مَا أَعْطَيْتَنِي

     wa a`inni `ala salihi ma a`taytani

     help me manage the good things that You have endowed upon me,

970. وَثَبِّتْنِي يَا رَبِّ وَلاَ تَرُدَّنِي فِي سُوءٍ ٱسْتَنْقَذْتَنِي مِنْهُ

     wa thabbitni ya rabbi wa la taruddani fi su'in istanqadhtani minhu

     make me firm, O Lord, and do not make me return to evildoing after You have saved me from it.

971. يَا رَبَّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

     ya rabba al`alamina

     O Lord of the worlds!

972. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ إِيـمَاناً لاَ أَجَلَ لَهُ دُونَ لِقَائِكَ

     allahumma inni as'aluka imanan la ajala lahu duna liqa'ika

     O Allah, I beseech You for faith that does not stop until I meet You.

973. أَحْيِنِي مَا أَحْيَيْتَنِي عَلَيْهِ

     ahyini ma ahyaytani `alayhi

     As long as You grant me lifetime, (please do) connect me to that faith,

974. وَتَوَفَّنِي إِذَا تَوَفَّيْتَنِي عَلَيْهِ

     wa tawaffani idha tawaffaytani `alayhi

     and when You decide to grasp my soul, make me carry that faith with me.

975. وَٱبْعَثْنِي إِذَا بَعَثْتَنِي عَلَيْهِ

     wab`athni idha ba`athnati `alayhi

     When You resurrect me, make me carry it with me.

976. وَأَبْرِئْ قَلْبِي مِنَ ٱلرِّيَاءِ وَٱلشَّكِّ وَٱلسُّمْعَةِ فِي دِينِكَ

     wa abri' qalbi min alrriya'i walshshakki walssum`ati fi dinika

     Release my heart from showing off, suspicion, and pretension in the affairs of Your religion

977. حَتَّىٰ يَكُونَ عَمَلِي خَالِصاً لَكَ

     hatta takuna `amali khalisan laka

     so that my deed will be purely intended for Your sake.

978. اَللَّهُمَّ أَعْطِنِي بَصِيرَةً فِي دِينِكَ

     allahumma a`tini basiratan fi dinika

     O Allah, grant me discerning awareness in Your religion,

979. وَفَهْماً فِي حُكْمِكَ

     wa fahman fi hukmika

     understanding of Your laws,

980. وَفِقْهاً فِي عِلْمِكَ

     wa fiqhan fi `ilmika

     insight in Your knowledge,

981. وَكِفْلَيْنِ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ

     wa kiflayni min rahmatika

     two folds of Your mercy,

982. وَوَرَعاً يَحْجُزُنِي عَنْ مَعَاصِيكَ

     wa wara`an yahjuzuni `an ma`asika

     and piety that impedes me from disobeying You.

983. وَبَيِّضْ وَجْهِي بِنُورِكَ

     wa bayyid wajhi binurika

     Make my face glitter on account of Your light,

984. وَٱجْعَلْ رَغْبَتِي فِيمَا عِنْدَكَ

     waj`al raghbati fima `indaka

     make me desire for nothing but that which You hold,

985. وَتَوَفَّنِي فِي سَبِيلِكَ وَعَلَىٰ مِلَّةِ رَسُولِكَ

     wa tawaffani fi sabilika wa `ala millati rasulika

     and when I die, make me die following Your Path and carrying the principles of Your Prophet—

986. صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰ آلِهِ

     salla allahu `alayhi wa ala alihi

     Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Household.

987. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ ٱلْكَسَلِ وَٱلْفَشَلِ

     allahumma inni a`udhu bika min alkasali walfashali

     O Allah, I seek Your protection against laziness, failure,

988. وَٱلْهَمِّ وَٱلْجُبْنِ وَٱلْبُخْلِ

     walhammi waljubni walbukhli

     grief, cowardice, stinginess,

989. وَٱلْغَفْلَةِ وَٱلْقَسْوَةِ وَٱلْمَسْكَنَةِ

     walghaflati walqaswati walmaskanati

     inattentiveness, brutality, poverty,

990. وَٱلْفَقْرِ وَٱلْفَاقَةِ

     walfaqri walfaqati

     neediness, destitution,

991. وَكُلِّ بَلِيَّةٍ وَٱلْفَوَاحِشِ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ

     wa kulli baliyyatin walfawahishi ma zahara minha wa ma batana

     and against all misfortunes and all shameful deeds, whether open or secret.

992. وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ نَفْسٍ لاَ تَقْنَعُ

     wa a`udhu bika min nafsin la taqna`u

     I seek Your protection against having unsatisfied self,

993. وَبَطْنٍ لاَ يَشْبَعُ

     wa batnin la yashba`u

     insatiate stomach,

994. وَقَلْبٍ لاَ يَخْشَعُ

     wa qalbin la yakhsha`u

     fearless heart,

995. وَدُعَاءٍ لاَ يُسْمَعُ

     wa du`a'in la yusma`u

     unanswered prayers,

996. وَعَمَلٍ لاَ يَنْفَعُ

     wa `amalin la yanfa`u

     and futile deed.

997. وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ يَا رَبِّ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِي وَدِينِي وَمَالِي

     wa a`udhu bika ya rabbi `ala nafsi wa dini wa mali

     I ask You, O Lord, to guard myself, my religion, my properties,

998. وَعَلَىٰ جَمِيعِ مَا رَزَقْتَنِي مِنَ ٱلشَّيْطَانِ ٱلرَّجِيمِ

     wa `ala jami`i ma razaqtani min alshshaytani alrrajimi

     and all that which You have granted me against Satan the accursed.

999. إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ

     innaka anta alssami`u al`alimu

     Verily, You are the All-hearing, the All-knowing.

1000. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنَّهُ لاَ يُجِيرُنِي مِنْكَ أَحَدٌ

      allahumma innahu la yujiruni minka ahadun

      O Allah, none can ever save me against You

1001. وَلاَ أَجِدُ مِنْ دُونِكَ مُلْتَحَداً

      wa la ajidu min dunika multahadan

      and I can never find any shelter against You.

1002. فَلاَ تَجْعَلْ نَفْسِي فِي شَيْءٍ مِنْ عَذَابِكَ

      fala taj`al nafsi fi shay'in min `adhabika

      So, (please) do not make anything that brings about Your punishment control over me,

1003. وَلاَ تَرُدَّنِي بِهَلَكَةٍ

      wa la taruddani bihalakatin

      do not let me lead myself to perdition,

1004. وَلاَ تَرُدَّنِي بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ

      wa la taruddani bi`adhabin alimin

      and do not make me deserve the painful chastisement.

1005. اَللَّهُمَّ تَقَبَّلْ مِنِّي

      allahumma taqabbal minni

      O Allah, accept from me,

1006. وَأَعْلِ ذِكْرِي

      wa a`li dhikri

      grant me reputation,

1007. وَٱرْفَعْ دَرَجَتِي

      warfa` darajati

      elevate my rank,

1008. وَحُطَّ وِزْرِي

      wa huttta wizri

      exonerate my offenses,

1009. وَلاَ تَذْكُرْنِي بِخَطِيئَتِي

      wa la tadhkurni bikhati'ati

      do not refer to me with my faults,

1010. وَٱجْعَلْ ثَوَابَ مَجْلِسِي

      waj`al thawaba majlisi

      let the reward of my sessions,

1011. وَثَوَابَ مَنْطِقِي

      wa thawaba mantiqi

      my utterance,

1012. وَثَوَابَ دُعَائِي رِضَاكَ وَٱلْجَنَّةَ

      wa thawaba du`a'i ridaka waljannata

      and my prayer be Your pleasure and Paradise.

1013. وَأَعْطِنِي يَا رَبِّ جَمِيعَ مَا سَأَلْتُكَ وَزِدْنِي مِنْ فَضْلِكَ

      wa a`tini ya rabbi jami`a ma sa'altuka wa zidni min fadlika

      Give me, O Lord, all that which I have asked for from You and grant me more favor,

1014. إِنِّي إِلَيْكَ رَاغِبٌ يَا رَبَّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

      inni ilayka raghibun ya rabba al`alamina

      for I seek none but You, O Lord of the worlds!

1015. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ أَنْزَلْتَ فِي كِتَابِكَ أَنْ نَعْفُوَ عَمَّنْ ظَلَمَنَا

      allahumma innaka anzalta fi kitabika an na`fuwa `amman zalamana

      O Allah, You have ordered us in Your book that we should overlook those who wrong us.

1016. وَقَدْ ظَلَمْنَا أَنْفُسَنَا فَٱعْفُ عَنَّا فَإِنَّكَ أَوْلَىٰ بِذٰلِكَ مِنَّا

      wa qad zalamna anfusana fa`fu `anna fa'innaka awla bidhalika minna

      We have thus wronged ourselves; so, forgive us, for You are worthier of forgiveness than we are.

1017. وَأَمَرْتَنَا أَنْ لاَ نَرُدَّ سَائِلاً عَنْ أَبْوَابِنَا

      wa amartana an la narudda sa'ilan `an abwabina

      You have ordered us not to reject any beggar being on our doors.

1018. وَقَدْ جِئْتُكَ سَائِلاً فَلاَ تَرُدَّنِي إِلاَّ بِقَضَاءِ حَاجَتِي

      wa qad ji'tuka sa'ilan fala taruddani illa biqada'i hajati

      Here I am begging You; so, do not reject me; rather, respond to my need.

1019. وَأَمَرْتَنَا بِٱلإِحْسَانِ إِلَىٰ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُنَا

      wa amartana bil-ihsani ila ma malakat aymanuna

      You have ordered us to act nicely to those under our authorities.

1020. وَنَحْنُ أَرِقَّاؤُكَ فَأَعْتِقْ رِقَابَنَا مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ

      wa nahnu ariqqa'uka fa'a`tiq riqabana min alnnari

      We are surely under Your authority; so, release us from Hellfire.

1021. يَا مَفْزَعِي عِنْدَ كُرْبَتِي

      ya mafza`i `inda kurbati

      O my Shelter whenever I am aggrieved!

1022. وَيَا غَوْثِي عِنْدَ شِدَّتِي

      wa ya ghawthi `inda shiddati

      O my Aid whenever hardships hit me!

1023. إِلَيْكَ فَزِعْتُ

      ilayka fazi`tu

      To You have I resorted.

1024. وَبِكَ ٱسْتَغَثْتُ وَلُذْتُ

      wa bika istaghathtu wa ludhtu

      With You have I sought refuge and haven.

1025. لاَ أَلُوذُ بِسِوَاكَ

      la aludhu bisiwaka

      To none save You shall I ever resort.

1026. وَلاَ أَطْلُبُ ٱلْفَرَجَ إِلاَّ مِنْكَ

      wa la atlubu alfaraja illa minka

      From none save You shall I ever seek for relief.

1027. فَأَغِثْنِي وَفَرِّجْ عَنِّي

      fa'aghithni wa farrij `anni

      So, (please do) aid me and relieve my hardship.

1028. يَا مَنْ يَقْبَلُ ٱلْيَسِيرَ وَيَعْفُو عَنِ ٱلْكَثِيرِ

      ya man yaqbalu alyasira wa ya`fu `an alkathira

      O He Who accepts the little (deed) and overlooks the much (wrong)!

1029. ٱقْبَلْ مِنِّيَ ٱلْيَسِيرَ وَٱعْفُ عَنِّيَ ٱلْكَثِيرَ

      iqbal minni alyasira wa`fu `anni alkathira

      Accept my little (deed) and overlook my much (wrong).

1030. إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ٱلْغَفُورُ

      innaka anta alghafuru alrrahimu

      You are certainly the All-merciful, the All-forgiving.

1031. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ إِيـمَاناً تُبَاشِرُ بِهِ قَلْبِي

      allahumma inni as'aluka imanan tubashiru bihi qalbi

      O Allah, I pray You for faith that covers my heart

1032. وَيَقِيناً صَادِقاً حَتَّىٰ أَعْلَمَ أَنَّهُ لَنْ يُصِيبَنِي إِلاَّ مَا كَتَبْتَ لِي

      wa yaqinan sadiqan hatta a`lama annahu lan yusibani illa ma katabta li

      and for honest conviction so that I will believe that nothing will inflict me save that about which You have already known.

1033. وَرَضِّنِي مِنَ ٱلْعَيْشِ بِمَا قَسَمْتَ لِي

      wa raddini min al`ayshi bima qasamta li

      Make me be satisfied with my livelihood that You have decided for me.

1034. يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

      ya arhama alrrahimina

      O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

1035. سُبْحَانَ مَنْ يَعْلَمُ جَوَارِحَ ٱلقُلُوبِ

      subhana man ya`lamu jawariha alqulubi

      Glory be to Him Who is aware of what hearts and minds strive to obtain!

1036. سُبْحَانَ مَنْ يُحْصِي عَدَدَ ٱلذُّنُوبِ

      subhana man yuhsi `adada aldhdhunubi

      Glory be to Him Who knows the exact count of the sins!

1037. سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لاَ يَخْفَىٰ عَلَيْهِ خَافِيَةٌ فِي ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ وَٱلأَرَضِينَ

      subhana man la yakhfa `alayhi khafiyatun fi alssamawati wal-aradina

      Glory be to Him from whose view nothing in the heavens and the earths is concealed!

1038. سُبْحَانَ ٱلرَّبِّ ٱلْوَدُودِ

      subhana alrrabbi alwadudi

      Glory be to the Loving Lord!

1039. سُبْحَانَ ٱلفَرْدِ ٱلوِتْرِ

      subhana alfardi alwitri

      Glory be to the Unique and Single!

1040. سُبْحَانَ ٱلعَظِيمِ ٱلأَعْظَمِ

      subhana al`azimi al-a`zami

      Glory be to the Greatest and Great!

1041. سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لاَ يَعْتَدِي عَلَىٰ أَهْلِ مَمْلَكَتِهِ

      subhana man la ya`tadi `ala ahli mamlakatihi

      Glory be to Him Who does not transgress against the inhabitants of his kingdom!

1042. سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لاَ يُؤَاخِذُ أَهْلَ ٱلأَرْضِ بِأَلْوَانِ ٱلْعَذَابِ

      subhana man la yu'akhidhu ahla al-ardi bi-alwani al`adhabi

      Glory be to Him Who does not bring down any kind of punishment upon the inhabitants of the earth!

1043. سُبْحَانَ ٱلْحَنَّانِ ٱلْمَنَّانِ

      subhana alhannani almannani

      Glory be to the Kind and Compassionate!

1044. سُبْحَانَ ٱلرَّؤُوفِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

      subhana alrra'ufi alrrahimi

      Glory be to the Oft-Forgiving and Merciful!

1045. سُبْحَانَ ٱلْجَبَّارِ ٱلْجَوَادِ

      subhana aljabbari aljawadi

      Glory be to the Omnipotent and All-magnanimous!

1046. سُبْحَانَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ ٱلْحَلِيمِ

      subhana alkarimi alhalimi

      Glory be to the Indulgent and Liberal!

1047. سُبْحَانَ ٱلْبَصِيرِ ٱلْعَلِيمِ

      subhana albasiri al`alimi

      Glory be to the Discerning and Wise!

1048. سُبْحَانَ ٱلْبَصِيرِ ٱلْوَاسِعِ

      subhana albasiri alwasi`i

      Glory be to the Comprehending and All-Wise!

1049. سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَىٰ إِقْبَالِ ٱلنَّهَارِ

      subhana allahi `ala iqbali alnnahari

      Glory be to Allah at the time of Daybreak!

1050. سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَىٰ إِدْبَارِ ٱلنَّهَارِ

      subhana allahi `ala idbari alnnahari

      Glory be to Allah at the time of sunset!

1051. سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَىٰ إِدْبَارِ ٱللَّيْلِ وَإِقْبَالِ ٱلنَّهَارِ

      subhana allahi `ala idbari allayli wa iqbali alnnahari

      Glory be to Allah in the zero hours of the departing night and in the twilight of the dawning day!

1052. وَلَهُ ٱلحَمْدُ وَٱلْمَجْدُ وَٱلعَظَمَةُ وَٱلكِبْرِيَاءُ

      wa lahu alhamdu walmajdu wal`azamatu walkibriya’u

      To Him alone is the praise, might, greatness, and omnipotence

1053. مَعَ كُلِّ نَفَسٍ وَكُلِّ طَرْفَةِ عَيْنٍ

      ma`a kulli nafasin wa kulli tarfati `aynin

      with every breath and every twinkle of an eye,

1054. وَكُلِّ لَمْحَةٍ سَبَقَ فِي عِلْمِهِ

      wa kulli lamhatin sabaqa fi `ilmihi

      and every moment is already registered in His all embracing awareness.

1055. سُبْحَانَكَ مِلْءَ مَا أَحْصَىٰ كِتَابُكَ

      subhanaka mil'a ma ahsa kitabuka

      Glory be to You for the infinite range that covers Your Book!

1056. سُبْحَانَكَ زِنَةَ عَرْشِكَ

      subhanaka zinata `arshika

      Glory be to You—Glory that is equal to the measure of Your Throne!

1057. سُبْحَانَكَ سُبْحَانَكَ سُبْحَانَكَ

      subhanaka subhanaka subhanaka

      Glory be to You! Glory be to You! Glory be to You!
